Horrible, disjointed book that doesn't take into account anything written before. Oh, really, there's a massive CS military presence at Beaumont, in Texas? But no mention of how this affects the city of Houstown, just a few miles away? Within, in fact, medium-range missiles can reach there? Millions of soliders, you say?
This could have been answered by looking at a map.
Good supplement. Found a reference to the town of Gladewater, TX, which is 15 miles from where I sit. (I scour Rifts supplements for mentions of East Texas since everything around it is covered but few mentions of ET itself.)
Not the strongest of the Rifts books. The content was okay, but rather specialized. The nautical commando character class and some of the gear was interesting. I think the inclusion of nuclear weapons was more depressing than interesting. I could only recommend this one to the collectors who want to have all the books and to hard core fans of all things nautical.
Even though the Palladium role-playing system is not the one I use in my games the source books are fantastic. Tons of great ideas and characters are scattered throughout the books. Very recommended for any gamer.
