I thought I had it all figured My job, my heat, my future . I’m an independent omega, I can do it all on my own. Can’t I? I’m living the life I always wanted, And yet, it doesn’t feel like enough. When an amazing pack shows up right when I need them most, I start to question everything I thought I knew. They’re the perfect fit for me, and I seem to be that for them, too. But in order to keep them, I might have to sacrifice my independence. Can I do that? Listen to my heart, even if it means risking getting hurt? I guess there’s only one way to find out. Authors' Allure Part Two is the second book in a Reverse Harem Omegaverse duet. This book contains adult language, lots of knotty puns, and sexual situations not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.
Colette Rhodes is a paranormal romance author from New Zealand. She loves to write about love in all its forms, and adores imperfect heroes and heroines who find perfection in each other. You’ll often find her trying to justify her degree by including ancient history and mythological influences in her work.
If she’s not writing, then you’re almost certain to find her reading—ideally with a cup of tea in hand and a scented candle burning to match the mood.
Well this went off with a banging start. Here's me complaining that it took Amy and the men of Pack Knight forever to schmooze in Part 1, but there was no stalling in this installment. When the heats on, the clothes are off...
Oh fuck. I thought I was in control, but I should have known better. Nothing undid an alpha’s resolve faster than a breathy “yes, alpha” from a perfuming omega. They were the ones who held all the real power.
Amy may have picked Pack Knight just as a temporary means to ride out her mating heat, but now that's passed, it's difficult to ignore the actual feelings. Cole, Zach, Kaito and Arata are just begging to claim her whilst trying to give Amy the necessary space to work it out.
I hoped she was here to tell us she wanted to keep us because otherwise I might need to ask my packmates how strongly they felt about abduction.
It's like trying to date after a one night stand. It's doing it in reverse. There's a lot of guessing, playing it cool and working through the cues. The one obvious, is that they're all smitten and trying to work out the best way to admit it. However it's about forgetting what others think and ignoring the 'norm' and just doing.
Allure Part 2 was certainly steamy, fun and romantic. Definitely the perfect follow up to what I deemed Part 1 as an average filler. Read together, these were a great modern spin on the Omegaverse. I adored the blue collar heroes and the non conforming Omega. It's something fresh to the genre!
I loved this duet! Part Two starts off with a bang (literally *snort*) so there's all the omegaverse steam pay-off from the slow build/tension of book 1. What I enjoyed most in this book was the emotions that these characters' journey took me on. The main characters have some hidden insecurities and while communication would have cleared up their anxieties and resolved their concerns earlier in the book, some realizations also needed to be made first. Relationship development was so well done throughout this story, I was totally here for it. Still written in first, multi-POV. No ow/om drama and no virgin characters.
Amy is just as sweet and funny in this second book, but also had more depth. Each of the guys had an opportunity to shine in all their cinnamon roll glory. Zach was still my favorite likely because his anxiety was so relatable, but I loved all of the guys and esp that Kaito (the grumpy alpha) softens up quite a bit. The concerns and touch of angst from book 1 do come to a head in this book and I did get teary eyed (I did have to skip parts of the book that refer to the loss of Amy's parents so for anyone reading this who may be sensitive to that as well, it was clear when that discussion was happening and I didn't miss anything from jumping ahead). The side characters continue to play important roles and Amy's aunts were hilarious at times. Amy's bosses were infuriating and I was really pleased that she does eventually stand up for herself in a great way.
Overall the duet remains light and fun and seeing these characters get to their HEA (complete with an extended epilogue a couple of years later) was wonderful and I was left all gooey and happy at the end. I absolutely recommend these books for the sweeter omegaverse reverse harem lovers! I also really hope that the authors might consider co-writing again and giving us Pack Carmichael's story, even though we know the barebones of how things turn out for them by the end of this book. But I know both authors also have their solo books.
The guys: 5/5 stars. They were amazing. Cole: loveable golden retriever. Zach: nervous, shy cutie. Kaito: grumpy with a soft spot. Arata: optimist, sweet and charming. I really enjoyed this duet.
My only reason for not giving 5 stars was because of how things go down with Amy. She was a bubbly sweetheart throughout but I didn’t like the emotional whiplash of doubting they want you when they made their intentions clear. I was happy that her aunt called her out on some of her bullshit. I get that she has been through loss and is afraid of more loss in the future but there were a couple scenes that I just felt were unnecessary. I think it could have been condensed into one book. I did enjoy it though and will recommend this duet in the future.
Awwwww! That was such a nice second half. I loved their story. These guys were a little clueless as to courting her and being completely open about what they wanted, but she also had some trauma that made it hard for her to articulate what she wanted.
I love the relationships among the guys and how they support and encourage each other.
The culmination of it all was so incredibly satisfying. Great job authors!
And Pack Carmichael kinda gets their story behind the scenes? But I still want to hear more.
4.5 stars. I really liked these characters. They were all so adorable in different ways. The guys were so caring and had a bit of a problem with self esteem, that came out differently for each of them.
I loved it. I just sort of wish we got more time with Cole. He was so loving and goofy, but we only got him in small doses and with one or more of the other guys.
I really loved the texts and the game they all played together. It was just really cute. Plus sexy. It was also sexy.
I’m glad I picked it up. It was worth the time, I think.
This was overall a cute Omegaverse RH duet. I still find it weird to refer to shifter terms and pack dynamics when no one is an actual shifter but I’m sure eventually I’ll get used to it. Aside from some miscommunication issues early on, Amy and her guys have an adorable origin story. They do get their HEA in the end and it was a perfect end for them. I’m so glad Amy didn’t stick around just for her job because I’m sorry, not sure what Roxy’s problem was but she went from cool boss to bitch backstabber quick. How do her alphas even like her smh?! We get to meet Amy’s aunts and they’re super fun and sweet and didn’t harp on the guys too bad. Again I found this a more chill book sans drama but it sure made up for it in spiciness
I liked Part Two a little more than Part One since the omega FMC Amelia/Amy wasn't such a hot mess in this one, but I still struggled with the overall plot and character choices. I didn't understand why suddenly became the evil villain, and it was still never explained why Roxy had hired Amy and spent so much time with private tutoring her in the first place. At first I thought there would be an evil twist, like , but that wasn't the case. I was also not quite sure why we needed the detail that Amy was super tall and not as curvy as a typical omega as her appearance never seemed to really be an issue with the men or her stripper/dancer job in general.
It continued to be pretty low angst overall with not much drama other than at Amy's job at Allure and her decision on whether or not to bond with the men. A lot of her troubles could have been solved with proper communication, which finally happened in the last 20% of the book.
Cole was an adorable overenthusiastic alpha, and the characters overall were pretty unique. Unfortunately, I just didn't find the overall plot and character development that compelling. This duet wouldn't be a series I'd pick up for a re-read, but I'm sure other people will love it. ------ Ratings - completed series: #1 Allure: Part One: ★★★☆☆ #2 Allure: Part Two (this book): ★★★☆☆
Amelia (Amy) is a rare working omega who works at the strip club. I'd love to see more RHs with this concept. Although the rest of it has a similar DNA to other RHs. The main conflict is insecurity on both ends. I did find her ending speech with Roxy a little anticlimatic. Good for her for standing up for herself finally but Roxy deserved way worse. I dont know how Pack Kennedy especially her two alphas are okay with watching Roxy treat her employee the way she is from the sidelines. Overall a very cute sweet story if u need a pick me up
This duet is definitely going in my very short list of favorite Omegaverse reads. I happen to be a sucker for sweet guys who are 110% in from the very beginning and it's surprisingly challenging to find those stories. This is definitely one of them. I didn't quite love book two as much as book one. The relationship between the characters didn't feel quite as invested to me at several times. I know some of that was the build up to the angst and pivotal plot moment but it left me feeling a bit insecure about the relationship. It all resolved but I would have loved to see the guys be a little less patient and respectful of her distance and a little more aggressive in proving that she was the one. Still, everything resolves nicely and the epilogue was so sweet. The duet as a whole hit a lot of highs for me with humor, sweetness, real and believable characters that you are rooting for from the start. Definitely a series that will be in my reread rotation.
Part 2 was even better. The slight angst and insecurities, the gift grovel, finally standing up to Roxy (I knew from the start she was a b*tch), the heat, the smut, the claiming, meeting the family was hilarious, overall loved this omegaverse duet. Just found out that T.S Snow have an RH standalone recently released so I'm reading that next.
Zach is still def my fave character from this duet. How could anyone not love that softboi ball of nerves? I liked that the MCs all had their own growth arcs, and they weren’t all about following societal roles or even plans they may have had. I liked that Amy was tall and didn’t have the typical omega body type as well.
I liked this do Ology and I am a sucker for a sweet omega verse. However, this did not hit the spot. I wouldn’t give it lower than three stars because I did want to finish it and I did like the male main characters however the female main character is awful the entire time just not good she has two times where she’s completely redeeming moment and that’s it and the entire 600 pages it is this do Ology.
I really wish we would’ve gotten more of a satisfying moment with her boss because I felt like that lady was horrible and I really wanted more of a moment and also her aunts in this story were both helpful and frustrating which is annoying
I don’t know read it if you want to make a verse that is very sweet and easy but definitely don’t go in thinking this is going to end up being an all-time favorite
I really enjoyed this duet! The second book certainly brought the heat, and the way in which Pack Knight were so attentive to Amy was adorable and heartwarming. This was a good balance of sweet and steamy with a dash of angst. I am absolutely smitten with Cole! He is the good vibe that everyone needs, and his inner thoughts were hilarious and cute. I wasn't sure about Aunt Raquel and her demanding 'tude for a minute there, but I warmed up to her eventually. I love how Amy finally stood up for herself at work yet at the same time was able to give in to her feelings for the pack. An awesome OV read!
Yeah no this was just stupid. There were a few cute moments, but overall I kind of hated these characters and the entire story was built on nothing but continuous miscommunications and assumptions and it was so very tiresome. And there was so much extra nonsense that could have been cut out?! This whole book was a disappointment.
Colette, go back to your own work please, you are better than this I promise. This has also taught me to avoid cowrites.
But for now just going to list the reasons why I loved this series. -safe -no ow drama -om -hilarious h and hilarious H’s -the men are so baby girl -the fmc also so baby girl. -RH -ultra steamy -the dudes were also so respectful -the om were also very respectful
Idk I would def reread this series. I want my own alphas now!!
Things really heat up between Amy and the guys in part two! I There we’re a few times, I just wanted to yell at them to talk to each other, but overall I loved seeing them all connect, and like i said the spice factor got smoking here :) I loved seeing Amy stand up for herself, and loved, loved, loved her aunts and the guys reactions to them. Overall, a great omegaverse duet.
Cole acted like a toddler which was a huge turn off The miscommunication was totally Amy’s fault, she said she only wanted sex then was annoyed they didn’t push her for more? The one word dirty talk from Amy felt very childish The club conflict felt childish This could have all been one book The ending felt rushed Instant kids :/

too much uncertainty in their relationship for my tastes. loooved cole though. he came the closest to being a bit obsessive. but for a duet where the Hs have basically a Lust/Love At First Sight, they're too laid-back and casual when they're courting her. also, they had been wanting their own omega for many years but somehow they have done zero research to prepare?? not knowing courting rules and what an omega needs after their heat, etc...?? alright...

I loved Amy in the first book and mostly in the second one, up until her aunts left and then the shitshow in the pizza shop. Such a drastic reaction for no dang reason. She wouldn’t let them talk, just kept pushing on like she knew all the details. Making them feel like it was their fault, when she’s the one who laid down the rules for their relationship in the beginning and nothing was even in motion for the move!
I understand we need a bit of drama to reaaaally bring characters together sometimes, but at 80% in the final book?? No. No. No.
Cole was a bit much this book. Poor Zach, he kinda got pushed to the back. Kaito was a gem, the perfect gruff alpha we all need for these books. Arata became the sweetest alpha of them all.
Roxy can eat shit. Same with her alphas.
The epilogue was perfect, giving just enough insight to their future to really round out the story.
Liked this better than the first book, although I honestly believe they could have been better if combined into one book. Didn't like the wishy washy attitude of the omega though. She internally fussed this entire book because she told them in the first book she wasn't looking to mate and only wanted alphas to help her through her heat. They respected that and tried to take it slow by getting to know her before taking the next step. So she spends the entire time wondering if they're really into her and why they haven't bitten her when the only times she had asked them to bite her was during sex when her omega instincts were in control. There's also a miscommunication trope on both sides because they don't want to scare her off after her admission that she didn't want more by telling her how into her they were, and she refused to tell them she had fallen in love with them. So they spend the whole book tip-toeing around these things until they decide to ask her to move with them and be their omega (after not yet communicating their feelings to her). And after worrying the entire book about them not wanting her because they didn't take her sex requests for bites seriously, she freaks out and decides that they're not respecting her by asking her to move (she had a point about the miscommunication), and also decides these guys who have only ever shown an interest in her are going to find someone else and leave her. All this because they haven't told her they want to court her......because she told them she didn't want that in the first book. Ugh. I hate the third act breakup trope, but I hate it even more when the reason is as ridiculous as this.
Anyway, they got their HEA and I'm happy for them. The guys had more personality in this book than they did in the first, but Cole was over the top annoying tbh.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 The tension and sweetness from Part One come to full, satisfying fruition in this beautifully emotional conclusion. From the first chapter (which literally starts with a bang), this book delivers the heat, heart, and HEA I was hoping for. Amy is still her funny, lovable, independent self, but she’s allowed to grow here in really meaningful ways. Her journey from “I don’t need anyone” to realizing the beauty of chosen family felt honest and heartfelt. And her pack? Absolute cinnamon roll perfection. Zach continues to be my favorite (his anxiety is so well-written and relatable), but I also loved the layers that emerged for the rest of the pack—Kaito, especially, really opened up in this one. The slow build in Part One makes the payoff here so much more impactful. There’s more steam, but it’s always grounded in emotional connection, which makes it even better. Plus, the humor never fades—this book balances fluffy feels with some truly laugh-out-loud moments. I especially appreciated how the story handled Amy’s grief over her parents—touching and realistic, while giving space for readers who might need to skim through those parts. And her confrontation with her shady bosses? So satisfying. The extended epilogue gave me everything I wanted and more—domestic fluff, growth, and a future I fully believe in. This duet is a treat for readers who love emotional development, pack dynamics that feel earned, and omega heroines who are allowed to be both strong and soft. I’m already hoping we get a spin-off for Pack Carmichael! Until then, this ending left me totally gooey and grinning.
Mmmmmm no.. it just kept getting worse? Or maybe never got better? Idk
I was excited after reading Superbia to read more from Colette Rhodes but yeah definitely going to stick to the Shades of Sin series only I guess
There were several issues I had and it was annoying that the characters had no friends. There was literally no friendships outside of family or the romantic interests…
It was also a big problem that basically the only other (non-familial) woman in the book became an “enemy” like why?? It was so unnecessary and literally only to disenfranchise Amy from dancing to further the plot? Plus this book had a really weird choice to make omegas literally sick from each others perfume which seems too traditional/women are the competition vibes and I’m not here for it And also I didn’t like that there was no connection post-bite? Literally what is the point then??
Also I found it odd that there were no betas. Like at all. Only Aunt Lu.. That also seemed really… classist? Idk what the term would be but didn’t love that
And don’t even get me started on the communication… literally everything could’ve been fixed with bare minimum updates from everyone involved 🙄🙄
*spoilers* THEN they’re really about to have 3 kids within 3-4 years???? Hahahahahha no thanks!!

Fantastic duet, it was sweet, genuine and I did appreciate the slight angst that was creeping in when it came to the FMC's fears and concerns. This second part of the duet shed more light as to the main heroine's background, thus allowed for a better understanding as to her doubts in regard to the pack and her future. Loved her connection to her aunt and it seems that the best advice Amy could have received came exactly from those she felt closest to. The relationships with Pack Knight were portrayed beautifully and the natural pace at which things developed between Amy and the guys felt quite natural. The authors managed to create a rather realistic relationship progression as I suppose it is inevitable for most to have their doubts when it comes to giving our heart to someone and opening up for the opportunity to be vulnerable. Daring to love is daring to live and Amy's journey is such a good example of that. I am quite glad I picked up the duet and for certain I will be checking some of the authors other work as the writing was executed with such an exquisite precision that one simply could not help, but wonder what other magnificent stories there are.
3.5 stars - sweet & steamy, a really good rh omegaverse!
I enjoyed part 2 just as much as I enjoyed part 1. Pack Knight is still absolutely gone for Amy and it is the sweetest thing. They try so hard to be what she wants and needs, while Amy tries so hard to be her cheerful self. I liked that Amy finally got wise to how Roxy was. I also enjoyed the relationship growth between Amy and the pack. Such a cute dynamic. And Amy’s aunts were great. I only wish the entire conflict didn’t hinge on a miscommunication that could have been easily resolved if one side or the other had been a tiny bit more open and honest. Amy needed to tell them what she wanted, and Pack Knight needed to…well, they needed to follow Cole’s advice because while he did come on strong, he was at least clear in his intentions and feelings.
Overall, I liked Allure a lot & I’m glad I picked it up. A nice, sweet read that was easy to fly through!
Overall this book wasn’t too bad and continues right where we left off. I enjoyed the men in the book, but they didn’t really communicate well. Actually none of them did. Amy should have told them how she felt, and they should have told her especially since there was this big issue with protocol and chaperones and such.
I didn’t like Roxy at all. Not at all.
I didn’t like when Amy’s stupidity jumped in to create imo unnecessary conflict. While I get that Amy was pushing the guys way she was literally the previous chapter wallowing BECAUSE she thought they weren’t interested in her. Then they show interest and rather than confront and ask what they meant she storms off to go have a sobbing session. It was totally unnecessary with the plot imo.
This series was so cute. I mean The pack seemed to not do things in a conventional way but still stole your heart. I wasn't the biggest fan of Amy because she seemed to really have a problem with communicating. The whole debacle at the end wouldn't have happened of she would have realized everything she had said and why the guys were trying to co what they thought she wanted. Roxy was also a character that confused me. She seemed so nice but the flip was so drastic, but hey I guess there has to be some sort of villain right. I do wish the steamy scenes were a little longer but All in all this was a cute omega verse. Stripper omega, construction worker alphas, humor, and an adorable Love story.
This is the exact type of omegaverse that I love! It’s really focused on relationship building, has male leads that are really different from each other, and it’s a sweet story. The only thing it lacks to be perfect for me, would be MM dynamics. But overall all I really like the main characters, Mia was strong, rounded, and had character development! She’s also Brazilian (like me!) and the book had nice references from my country, which I really liked! I enjoyed the side characters and the overlying plot (her job, how she developed as a single omega, the drama with other packs) entertained me throughout the book.
I definitely laughed a lot more in this one than the previous. I never warmed up to Cole, as he seemed like a toddler crossed with an ADHD 12 year old. The other three alphas made up for him and I just pretended he wasn’t there. I’m glad that Amy stood up for herself in the end. I loved that she didn’t dance great and wasn’t the perfect omega. I wish her aunts were mine. They were the best.
Now we just need Pack Charmichael to get a story. I would love for someone else to tell Roxy off.
