How to Pray with Boldness, Authority, and Supernatural Power In a world full of desperate need, we turn expectantly to prayer, hoping to witness the realities promised in Scripture. Most of us, however, seldom see the results we hope for. Why don't our prayers make more of a difference? Beginning with her own experiences of breakthrough, Jennifer Eivaz offers much-needed direction and the biblical context for prayer that does make a difference--explaining the intervention of angels and demons, prophetic manifestations, and much more. She helps believers take hold of their authority and spiritual giftings and use them in the battle for victory. The Kingdom principles will help every believer navigate the spiritual realm of prayer by using the tools that make it truly effective.
This is a jewel of a book on prayer. Jennifer Eivaz explains prayer in simple terms and goes in depth as well. Why even pray? What is prayer? She explains all of this and more. A lot of believers have yet to tap into the authority given to them through communication with God. She even touches on fasting in the Intercessor's Handbook. Blessings flow and battles are won through prayer, which Jennifer goes through extravagantly in this writing.
Even with the great number of books that I’ve read on prayer this book did not disappoint. There was a refreshing newness and authenticity contained in it and plenty of gems even for seasoned intercessors.
God is not withholding His clear promises from you. Rather, there is something you do not understand about His Word or about the spiritual realm. God always has the answer, but we do not always know how to appropriate it. p. 14
The Intercessors Handbook proceeds to show you how to do just that—how to appropriate His promises.
Friendship and fellowship between God and man look as unique as each individual. p. 27
No, only-one-way-to-pray model in this book—-you are free to be yourself and I say, thank God for that.
God, in His sovereignty, restrains Himself from action until He’s heard our voice in prayer. Not only will He respond to our prayers, but also He responds immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine. p. 31
With this quote and much more, Ms. Eivaz emphasizes the importance of prayer.
God does not override our will and authority in the earth’s sphere. We have been charged with inviting the will of God into the earth, and when we fail to do so, God’s will does not happen. Many Christians, unaware of this truth, give their spiritual authority away on many levels. p. 46
Unanswered prayers are the result of not knowing or understanding spiritual laws that are tucked away in the Word of God and revealed to us in the place of prayer. p. 59
Here, she continues to explain the authority we have in Christ and how to use that in prayer and not to let the enemy get away with everything that he usually gets away with.
Ms. Eivaz continues with quite a bit of information on the spiritual realm and how to engage the angels to help you which is exactly the sort of information that is sorely lacking from most other books on prayer or intercession. She also includes a chapter on prophetic intercession, and how to pray “intelligently”.
If you are an intercessor this book is for you. Even if you are a seasoned intercessor this book will fuel you with encouragement and perhaps even give you a new truth or two! If you are new to intercession, this book will help you get started as it is not only deeper truths, but includes lots of basics. If you are a born again Christian with the Holy Spirit living inside of you, then YOU are an intercessor. Please consider getting this book!

This book has really been life changing. I took my time reading it because I did not want to miss anything. I recommend this book to every man or woman of God.
I do not agree with author's statement on page 53 where she asks the question "Why could I authorize freedom when the others could not? She answers with "because we walk in spiritual authority in the areas we have personally overcome" If we are believers prayed up, in the word and fasting and have been given the authority to cast out in Jesus name then that this all we need. Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to trend upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall injure you.
Mark 16:17_18 and these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out demons;they shall speak in New tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; they shall pay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
I am called like many to the Ministry of Intercession but when I transition from one Church to another the Ministry Team there was pretty much non existing. I was so use to praying corporately and that helped my personal prayer life too but when the pandemic came I lost my way. This book was like a reminder to everything I learned in prayer school, how powerful prayer is, and how much I no we need to pray. It brought me back to my first love and Holy Spirit for weeks was bringing this book to mind over and over again. I purchased a paperback of this book when it first came out and I let someone borrow it and they never returned it so I got it on Kindle instead and I'm glad I did and listened to Holy Spirit leading.
The author switched between being too spiritual and too common. Everything that was shared (personal life)was not necessary. The book should have gone into more about prayer than the differences between denominations. Also the steps taken to help someone who needs prayer were only told from her denomination's doctrine. I was looking for insight and direction on interceeding for people where denomination or doctrinal differences was not a factor.
This book help me to pray correctly " as result I now hear/feel God's presence more".
I really enjoyed this book. It helped me a lot with my prayers to God. Also to understand why I sometimes feel alone when I pray. " all most like the phone line is open but there isn't anyone listening on the other end". As I read this book I found my self praying more. I also found I was feeling God's presence more I feel closer to God today than I have in a long time. Because this book taught me how to pray and to hear answers voice
Honestly it’s more like 3.5 stars. I was left expecting more than she gave in this book, simply because of the previous book I read by her that I loved! Also, there were a few moments where I completely disagreed with her on serious things, which is why I rated it as I did. It was either on fire, fast paced and biblically sound, or it was really slow and hard to continue with. It didn’t really seem to have a solid sense of direction and when compared to other books on prayer and intercession, this didn’t feel like one. I don’t regret reading this book, but it won’t be one I recommend either.
I have been an Intercessor and prayer leader for over 10 years but I was burnt out. This book gives a vulnerable yet practical way to enter back in to the marvelous life and assignments of prayer. This book is safe to read and sheds light to improve and enter in His presence again. I have come back to prayer because of this book.
"The Intercessors Handbook" gives us practical principles on how to be an effective intercessor. By applying the principles laid out in this book, we can pray at any house of prayer that we want to as we become effective prayer warriors for God. We need to intercede and this book is one of the many examples on why we need to live a lifestyle of intercession.
This book was very helpful!! Although I don’t know I agree with everything, I found a handful of chapters insanely good. The 3 stars also come from the fact that it did seem slightly braggey at times. All in all a good book, but definitely not for everyone.
Audiobook notes: I don’t like the readers which probably affected my view on the book.
Very instructive. Eivaz gives background information and basic teaching in step by step ways that make sense. She tells stories to illustrate her points which are helpful at best, and interesting at least. Even though I have read many books on this topic I still found spots to stop and ponder, underlining new ideas and wanting to bookmark pages.
The Intercessor Handbook was very well written, and was an easy read. Eivaz keeps the reader's attention through personal experiences and practical ways to pray. I recommend this book to people who want to learn to pray more and for those who are intercessors already.
Great author! Good book! I appreciate when authors share personal experiences and she usually does. Intercession is a responsibility and I appreciate the way she lays it out.
A informative read on positioning oneself to pray for others. Jennifer does a Super job explaining different prayer settings and unity in pray is vital. I recommend it to other interceptors in the body of Christ
I enjoyed this book, it really is a great teaching book whether a new Christian or one who has be a Christian for a while . It is a great book to read.
I absolutely loved this book! I had always known there was more for me, but I could never quite figure it out till I read this book. I will read this book again and again!
Informative. Book talks about our rights as believers. How to pray and intercede for people , the church and that nation,. I recommend for any Christian who wants to grow.
