To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Foundation Year Program at the University of King's College, Halifax, Canada, this collection of poems, essays, reflections and reminiscences recalls, critiques, and delights in the argument that has been before the program since its that we are at the end of the West. As the first FYP handbooks put it, "We have come to a certain end of Western civilization. As a result of this, we feel both able and obliged to judge our culture.” And for fifty years, this is what the students, staff, and faculty at King's have done. Over those fifty years it has happily proven to be an argument without end.
