gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love (ALL THINGS TO EXPECT FROM THE MAFIA WORLD). By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! CAN’T SAY YOU WEREN’T WARNED!!!!! Camille will you want to reach out giving her a huge hug, on the run from an abusive husband but not just any man the Italian mafia in a bar trying to pay for her drink when a sexy guy steps in to pay for her drink. Evander sexy as all get out Greek Mafia offers to pay for a drink of a women who looks like she needs a little help, never imagining this one act would change his path especially after getting to know her they talk getting to know each other and one thing leads to another with her waking up him gone and money on the table. She assumes he thought she was a whore and wakes up to finds him in a meeting throwing the money at him of course yelling at him and storms out but of course without him stopping her giving her his card with instructions to call if she needs help. Of course, she will need help especially on the run from her husband his enemy but that sassy mouth lands her on his radar in a bad way ending with him claiming her despite her husband and he isn’t going to just let her go without a fight. Boy, do they fight each side losing good men and when Evander tire of the it all he aims to put an end to it all no matter who he has to wipe out to protect his girl all while ending his enemy but will he come out on top, will she be okay, has she found a peaceful life, and can they have happiness despite it all that is at stake?.

I’m always excited to read a new mafia book BB, her books are always so good. “Beast In My Bedroom” took a little bit for me to get into, I honestly wasn’t feeling Camille at first. I thought for everyone Evander did for her, she seemed ungrateful. Her attitude was really turning me off. But my opinion changed when she stood her ground and told Evander if he wasn’t going to wear his ring, then she wasn’t either. I was smiling at that, and thought good for her! One thing I really liked about her was how she stood up to him. And I absolutely loved how protective Evander was of her. Right from the start he wanted to help her.
I definitely recommend anything BB writes, all her books are great!

Camille is running for her abusive husband, she knows this is her only escape. She is at rock bottom, no money, no safe haven that is until Evander Kazan offers to buy her a drink. Evander is the head of the Greek Mafia and tells Camille if she marries him she her ex will never come near her again. Evander and Camille marry but she is not one to be walked over and has a mind of her own. Camille finds herself falling for Evander but can the broody mafia leader fall for his wife as well?
There is so much more that goes on in this story but I was hooked. Could not put the book down. Loved Camille and really liked Evander, he roared onto the pages and did not let up. Wonderful story.

Exciting and without downtime
It's an excellent romance, quite dark at first because of the causes of Camille's escape. Certainly this allows her to meet Evander, but ultimately she wonders if she is not going from one dangerous man to another.
Their story has a certain tenderness, despite a violent mafia context and violent men. There is no downtime because the dangers come from both allies and enemies.
It's excellent, scorching and full of action with great characters.

this was fun, i enjoyed reading evander and camille's story.
camile ran away from her abusive husband and evander saw her in a hotel lobby. offered her a meal and a hotel room cuz he knew she doesn't have anything with her.
camille (23) is a strong heroine, despite what she went through from her abusive husband. she learned how to finally speak up for herself and gain some self confidence after being stuck in a loveless and abusive marriage for 5 years. with evander she grew to be a more self assured woman who can go toe to toe with people and not let them walk all over her.
evander (early thirties) was a greek crime lord and got fascinated with camille. he vowed to protect her and find out who is she running from. but a lot of complications came after finding out that abusive person. he was a grumpy person with his men but was tender when it comes to camille. he didn't come off as an alphahole too. he was actually a nice guy in this story. though he have issues why he can't trust other people easily but that hesitation never came with camille. as the story goes he figure things out on his own and learn to be more open to be deserving of camille.
though this was marketed as arranged marriage, they only officially got married around 75% of the book. majority of the story camille is still married to her husband and there are some laws that prevents her form divorcing him. evander and camille waited for awhile for the official paperwork and when it's finally done they submitted their own marriage license to make their marriage legal and binding.
this was full of heartache, betrayal, lies, and violence. the writing style was engaging and i enjoyed the story a lot. i'm glad that peace came around with the people involved in this book and how evander and camille got their hea.

Greek Mob Boss, Snotty Girlfriend
I liked Evander Kazan the head of the Chicago Greek Crime Family. He had to forcibly take his position as the Lord and not everyone was happy about how he did it. He‘s working hard to make amends to some of the people who are not sure of his leadership including some of his immediate family. Evander try’s to be a good guy, for a mobster, and when he sees a lady in distress in the bar, he steps up to her aid. His offer of help had no expectation but in the end his damsel, Camille takes him to bed. Afterward, he’s entranced and she is ungrateful, snappy, smart mouthed who acts before she thinks. Camille causes him nothing but trouble and he keeps on saving her.
All hell breaks out loose when Evander and his “family” find that Camille’s abusive husband is a Capo in the Chicago Italian mafia. Evander thought her ex was a just some regular smuck he could make quick work getting rid of. It seems no matter what Evander does he ends up having to kill.
Camille was married at 18 to Christopher then she was locked away to be mentally and physically abused. This must be why Camille is so immature. I guess Evander sees something in her I am missing because Camille wares on me. She certainly doesn��t act like she’s spent 5 years living in terror.
Towards the end of the book Camille slows up on her caustic mouth and Evander gets rid of all the trouble makers. The ending is good when they admit to loving each other. I received a free advanced copy of this story from Booksprout and these are my thoughts. Linda

This book is absolutely a stand-alone, if you want it to be. But it is also an interesting part of the Atlas Group ( the guys we were introduced to in Beautiful Corruption, continued in Ruined with a Promise, and Lovely Beast ). These friends are linked in friendships formed at Blackwoods, and each have their own difficulties to face, to reach their HEA. I do recommend reading each of these other stories, for the best character understanding.
I had a little difficulty connecting to Camille's character in the beginning, as her sassy mouth and headstrong, dangerous actions got her into more trouble than it should have. Her character frustrated me. I did end the read liking her better than I did at the beginning.
Evander Kazan shouldn't have anything to do with her, based on the trouble his organization is already in, but when does that stop any of these guys? Keeping her safe is more dangerous than cutting her loose. For more than one reason, but he keeps her all the same.
I'm not sure the enemies to lovers is the best description for this one, as all their steamy chemistry would suggest they weren't enemies AT ALL. :)
I enjoy this author's skills and creativity with these characters. This is everything we expect a mafia read to be - with all the betrayals, family drama and in fighting, bloody conflicts and steamy scenes - and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I look forward to the continuation of this storyline.

This is A Greek Mafia Enemies to Lovers Romance with a young sassy woman, Camille whose is lost in life after running away from her abusive husband and an older Greek mafia lord, Evander who is part of the Atlas Group of friends from Blackwoods. When Evander offers help while Camille is unable to pay her bar tab they end of spending time together and have an unforgettable night that turns upside down the next morning. Camille’s mouth causes her more trouble than she knows so when Evander can’t walk away he claims her as his even though her husband is an Italian Capo, Evander’s enemy. His main goal is to keep her safe and will do what is necessary to accomplish that even with constant threats from the Italians and his own family. Each time Evander does what is necessary to end those threats. The war between the Italians and Greeks causes many men losing their lives and Evander does what is necessary to end it, on his own terms! There are twist and secrets that will be revealed adding to the ending of this beast of a man finding love and Camille getting peace and safety. Their story is one of struggles and strengths bringing them together in unexpected moments of evilness, kindness, hatred and love. Evander and Camilla!
This story was very enjoyable, lots action, fast pace!Typical Mafia stuff,pitting different nationally against each other,One particular night was supposed be waiting for a meeting with some Mafia person when he notices a women at the having a hard time paying for her drinks and Evander trys to help her by paying for them,they end spending night together. When Camila wakes up in the morning Evander is gone but there is money on the nightstand but no note,so Camila fines Evander downstairs in his meeting she rushes in and she says she no where and throws the money back him. Evander 's life gets worst from but he give her card in case she needs help,of course she does,she ends in his house and she is v trying run away from abuse ex husband, but they end fake married and they fielding trouble and their enemies In household that are trying to kill Camila but they get foiled. But finally they get to be a very married couple truly and happy!

Steamy Mafia Romance
Camille is on the run from her abusive Italian Mafia husband. She has hit rock bottom with no friends, no prospects, no income, alone in a strange city and nowhere to go. Evander Kazan comes to her rescue not once but twice. What she does not realize is he is not just in consulting as he says but the Lord of the Greek Mafia. Something about Camille draws Evander in. He should forget her. He has done more for her than he ever should have and now it’s time to focus on his business, but he cannot stop staring at her. How would his captains react if he started seeing an Italian girl? This is a well written enemies to lovers Greek mafia romance that I was not able to put down once I started. It has the perfect balance of chemistry, drama, danger and violence. The characters are well developed with enticing traits. The worst of the series so far- read on KU
This book was disappointing. I didn't love the 1st two but have liked over books by this author. I would give up on the series but hope Gareth and Lanzo will be different since they aren't criminals and maybe aren't so dark.
I usually like enemies to lovers books, even if this wasn't supposed to be that exactly. The dialogue could have been clever banter, but was irritating and abrasive instead. There wasn't much redeemable about Evander. Camille was just ok. She fought against marrying Evander even though that was the only way she was staying alive. It made sense for her to not want to be in a new cage, but it was that or death.
I hope the other two have better books. I also wish the author would use Grammarly. So many of the careless errors could have been fixed in a short time with that free tool. And there were a lot of errors. And so many plot holes. In this whole series, there are some things that go beyond reasonable suspension of disbelief.

Camille is in an abusive relationship. So desperate she runs with just her favorite sneakers, and a handful of credit cards she swiped from her husband’s drawer. Evander Kazan overhears that she needs to get away before “he” finds her. His protective instincts kick in.
Evanders family has been after him to marry. Ultimately he decides the only way to protect Camille is to do just that. An interesting and unfortunate relationship to Camille’s ex makes things extra dangerous.
An amazing journey of Evander from cold to living. Watching Camilee come into her own, and demand respect and to make her own decisions. One of my favorite tropes is the fake boyfriend / marriage, and this outshines them all.
This author does not disappoint, but this story hit all my favorite aspects of a stellar read!

Wasn't what expected
Yes this book was a good read, twists and turns, action, love, angst. But there were a few minor issues that stopped me from giving it 5 stars and wanting to read the rest of the series.
The editing in this is terrible and there was definitely something wrong with the letter T. It was like there was autocorrect on and the word got changed to something similar. It happened so much it got annoying.
The other thing was the scenes. Yes, they were steamy especially the first one. But afterwards we would get the build up and then the climax and end. Sometimes I was also a little bit confused about the placement of bodies because it didn't make sense.
It also says 'The Atlas Organisation' but there is only one reference to it and nothing about it or any background. It is a Mafia book!
With all the spelling issues and other problems I would not recommend spending money on this book, you might get annoyed.

OKAY i didn't expect much from this but i am one happy girl reading this HAHAHHA
it's kinda linear and really straightforward. no particular or significant reactions or feelings or emotions toward any part.
definitely an okay plot that was followed through. characters were consistent and quite mature. writing i appreciated !! (at least i prefer this over cora reilly's writing in twisted loyalties)
i was happy reading the book on my bed on my phone while listening to music and just isolated from the world 🫶 but i don't think it stood out too me that much or that i'll be stuck thinking about this book for forever
would recommend if you want less explicit violence on page. and if you don't need a life changing book, just one that'll make you happy.

Okay, so I was a little weary on this one as it started out as a one night stand and the trigger warnings of domestic abuse but WOW this book knocked all worries out of the park. Camille is so strong, stubborn, and truly different than most girls written that it kept me so intrigued that I had to hold myself off from binge reading it and truly enjoy the book. Evander is just what you would expect; stubborn, violent, but the softest spot for his wife but ooohhhhh does he get his wife. There’s spice, story lines that have meaning and the author didn’t hesitate to make sure to close all ends on them without lingering doubts or questions. I LOVED this book of the Atlas Organization and cannot wait to finish the series!

Great story.
Loved this story from the start Camille's escape from her evil ex wasn't going well then she met a hot stranger who offers her help but it comes at a cost. When Evander offered to help Camille neither knew they had a common enemy but in order to defeat them they had to have a fake wedding pretending to be married. Them being together causes a lot of bloodshed but we also see what started as a fake relationship between them become a bit more real but neither will admit that. Their story has secrets, lies, deception, emotional times, a bit of fun but also gets MEGA HOT!!!
This is a great story but definitely recommend having a fan & tissues at hand.

i'll say it once, twice, three times ...point being that i miss B.B.'s writing ...when i have not read from BB in a while. so i saw that i had not read this one. so i checked it out. what a read!! i loved so many fun moments, quirky to me ...i wonder if they were meant to be that way but that is how i took them. get on reading, already. what are you waiting on??! stop reading ... get on to your kindle and read on my friend. Camille, Camille, Camille! She has gotten herself into quite a situation. Evander Kazan isn't one easily told no and Camille is headstrong to say the least. The chemistry between them is freakin explosive and together they could probably rule the world. But, trouble is on the way between the Greeks and Italians and we all know that nothing but more excitement, surprises, betrayal, action, twists and turns are in store for us in this story. As always, this author has brought us another incredible journey!

Evander and Camille met when he offers to pay her tab in the hotel bar after she is cut off financially from her ex-husband. It starts them along their path and what a path it is. Camille finds herself caught in between a war with the Greeks and Italians and when his family starts to come after Camille everything escalates for them. Will he be able to keep Camille safe from both sides and will they get their chance for happiness.

Enjoyable mafia story...
I really liked this read! Evander and Camille had a lot of chemistry together even though they butt heads throughout the read. There is a lot of violence, this is a mafia read after all. The love scenes were hot and steamy, and I liked how this ended, no loose ends. I enjoyed some of the side characters as well and wouldn't mind reading their story. This was a great read that holds your attention throughout!.

Camille is on the run from her abusive husband, and finds herself in a bind in a bar trying to get one of her cards to accept payment, and Evander comes to her rescue and buys her dinner, as well as offering her marriage as protection from her ex. This is a well written story which is action packed, emotionally charged, and with enemies / lovers, danger, suspense, intrigue, emotions, twists, tragedy, romance, and love, which leads to a steamy and addictive page turner.

Camille is running away from her abusive husband when she meets Evander. Evander can tell that she is running from something when he steps in to help. But he doesn't know that she is running from a mad man with the Italian mob which creates trouble for the both since he is the head of the Greek mafia.
This book has a lot of action as well as steamy scenes and even a back stabber or two.

Camille is on the run from her abusive husband when Evander steps in a saves her (several times). Evander has taken over the Greek gangster family and is at war with the Italian mafia as well as having internal problems related to his take over. I am a huge BB Hamel fan but this wasn't my favorite book. It rambled in places, stalled out in others and I didn't connect with the characters as much as I have in other books. It is a solid mafia romance, just not one of my favorites.

This was Evander and Camille's book. My rock bottom is a dirty martini in a high-class bar, ten canceled credit cards, and nothing but the clothes on her back. She managed to escape her abusive husband, but a snooty hipster bartender is about to get her arrested for being unable to pay for a drink. Evander Kazan saves her. He’s massive, rippling with muscles, covered in dark tattoos, and looking for danger. He buys her dinner and gives her an offer: marry him, and he’ll make sure my ex-husband never gets near me again. I loved this one. And am voluntarily leaving my review.

character disconnect
At times I have a hard time with Camille’s attitude. She comes from an abusive relationship, but is constantly asserting herself when she meets evander. She’s no pushover, which I like, but it also makes her less believable. I couldn’t imagine Camille in that situation especially since she was married so young. To me I would’ve liked to see her come into her own as she learned about what was out in the world. For me it just didn’t quite line up. Still a good read though. 3.5 for me.

I’m in love with Evander 😭😭😭
Omg this is the first book that I’ve read from this author and holly fuck it was wonderful !!!
Evander is every thing he should be as a Lord but the way he treated Camille from the beginning shows how much he cared about her and loved her even without knowing her.
And Camille was just perfect ! She was strong and stood up her ground even though she was traumatised because of her piece of shit husband.
What can I say else, this book was really it for me and I’m sure going to get another story from B.B Hamel.
