I am most happy to have a new copy of this book.

My original was lost in a flood in our storage room perhaps twenty years ago when a water hose to the washing machine brook flooding the room. Also lost was a box of older Arkham House books, and first printings of William Burroughs books that I had been collecting since high school.

In his new introduction Cathy's (Kate's) older brother apologizes for the poor and cheap quality of the original slip cover for the book. He also comments on the HIGH price the original book is now fetching, I had to buy my copy directly from him at the time via postal order, as the books were never supposed to be sold in bookstores.

For those interested what we have is a collection of photographs taken by John Carder Bush of his younger sister Kate.

It can be easily recognized that this is a labor of love.

A must have for any Kate Bush fan, and Little Brown has done an excellent job in creating this wonderful book.

A beautifully produced book of photographs of Kate Bush when she was a girl, taken by one of her brothers, with comments by him. This is the reissue of a limited edition book printed in 1986 which is known to many Kate Bush fans but seen by few. Now it is readily available, and worth all the pennies. It is easy to see how Kate became the person she is today through these images, whether she is dressing up as a hippy with her other brother Paddy, sitting at a piano, or simply engaging the camera in a meaningful look. John Carder Bush says occasionally that certain objects in the background were there coincidentally, and give a resonance when we look at them now, but in a good photograph all the aspects simply seem to be 'right' when it is taken, and it is this that makes the collection quite special.

John Carder Bush's photos of his little sister, Kate Bush, as a child. The book is very extravagantly made, and I enjoyed the brief poetic descriptions accompanying the photos.

A beautifully presented book - a reissue of the ltd.edition volume Kate Bush's brother released, 30 years ago, featuring photos of his pre-fame sister. They're amazing shots. The near-smirk of her smile always a feature. The eyes telling you she's off dreaming, creating, imagining. And John Carder Bush writes beautifully about his sister and the images.

A lovely book for those who love lovely books. Just books generally. Obviously the subject matter will limit it to fans of Kate bush or photography but it is well designed and conceived, a superior quality book that just makes me want to hold it, read it and smell it.
