Audio book read by author. fascinating to listen to these tapes--a lot of stars on there J. Edgar Hoover, Hubert Humphrey, Lady Bird, Jackie Kennedy. Robert Mcnamara, McGeorge Bundy, John Connoly.

Great behind-the-scenes peek at a master politician -- plagued with insecurities and petty and not-so-petty complaints around Vietnam, the media, the Kennedy dynasty, political conventions, stepping into giant shoes etc.
