Not really a memoir, actually, more of an expose on just how overboard the justice system may or may not have gone in searching for and punishing those involved in growing some of the biggest harvests of marijuana in America. Higdon has covered every base as he discusses the history--both bad and good--of the Marion County Kentucky society which fostered the ideology that growing marijuana was acceptable. Higdon's personal interaction with Johnny Boone is the most interesting part of the book, as far as I'm concerned and the aftermath that he, Higdon, played in bringing this book to publishers.
