Debbi Rawlins currently lives with her husband in Las Vegas, Nevada. A native of Hawaii, she married on Maui and has since lived in Cincinnati, Chicago, Tulsa, Houston, Detroit, and Durham, North Carolina during the past twenty years.
Now that she's had enough of the gypsy life, it'll take a crane, a bulldozer, and a forklift to get her out of her new home. Not that her friends would let her leave Las Vegas even if she wanted to. Debbi's home has become a retreat for writers from both coasts and her guest rooms are rarely empty.
I totally LOVE the Harlequin Blaze books. I've read so many of these books that I can't keep track of the titles and authors. If you like HOT romance, then these are the books to check out. These books are usually great light reading. Be prepared for details though, because these aren't your average romance novels. Educating Gina is one of my favorites.
Sooo... I read 67 pages. Maybe 1/3 of the way through. That was like, 50 pages of Gina acting like an 11 year old. The child-like qualities that are supposed to come across as naivete, innocence, and what would result from a sheltered, stifled, Catholic upbringing were just immaturity and cluelessness (it's a word now, people). For me, it's way too child-like for this whole romance to be considered anything other than borderline pedophilia.
Terrible plot. Best friends with the owner's son and working for the family business since he was a teenager, the owner is supposed to suddenly believe that our hero is gay so he can chaperone his niece who is visiting from Italy. Of course shy and backward niece who was raised in a convent really wants to lose her virginity and become a woman of the world. Did I mention terrible plot?
