When not working on a new book, Ron likes to teach tricks to his dog Pal, play poker with friends, travel, and read thrilling mystery books.
My daughter is loving these simple mystery stories. We're listening to them in the car, and overall the narration is pretty solid. The stories themselves are OK - as an adult and Agatha Christie fan, the plots really seem contrived after a few listens - but my daughter is five, so it's cool. The Deadly Dungeon is the best in this set (all parties agree).
This was a fun and entertaining follow up to the first volume of A to Z Mysteries. The first story about the deadly dungeon was mildly scary to my six year old (because of the ghost) but she seemed to like all the other stories. I found them kind of interesting too and continue to be open to listening to more of the series. Each of the three main characters is kind of quirky in their own way which makes the stories fun.
