My eldest child, my baby boy, loves Batman. I am so happy to report that this one didn't disappoint.

Can you remember your darkest fear as a child? Well this story can bring an opening for that conversation with your children. The Scarecrow, a has-been psychologist, made a poisonous gas that once exposed to water made everyone breathing in the fumes hallucinate their worst fears.

This was the perfect way to discuss with my children that even though the dark can sometimes seem scary, there will always be the light that drives away the darkness.

Batman novels by Super DC Heroes are clean and wholesome. I never have to worry about what my child my hear and learn when reading these novels to him, they never disappoint and I am always able to say that justice prevails through every trial that the hero must face.

Batman is one courageous superhero that relies on wit and inventions. Even though he captures the city's most evil villains, he also recognizes their genius abilities and often looks to them to help save the day. I certainly enjoyed reading this book to my very own superhero fans!

This book contains more over-the-top writing, but at least the plot makes more sense than the Superman book.

And the illustrations are still fun.
