A power outage. A jailbreak. And three unsolvable murders…
Charlotte Mission, ex-spy and fixer in small town Gossip, Texas, has a big problem on her hands. The power has been out for two days, she has more cases than she can handle, and she hasn’t seen her grandmother in days.
Just when she’s sure things can’t get any worse, a jailbreak on the outskirts of Gossip sends the town into a tailspin.
And things only get more chaotic when three corpses turn up on Main Street.
It’s murder, and it’s up to Charlie and Gamma to put their thinking caps on and figure out what’s going on in their town, all while maintaining their covers.
Can they solve the crimes and restore order before it’s too late?

Wow this was another crazy adventure for Charlie and Gamma who were used to not knowing what people to trust. It was interesting to read as it played out and I had no clue as to the whodunit. I wasn’t exactly surprised but I hadn’t expected that person. And we got a little teaser which introduced a new character. Can’t wait to read the next book!
A really cozy, interesting mystery—second book in the Charlie Mission Cozy Mystery series.
Charlotte Mission is a spy currently residing in the small town of Gossip (yep, you read that right). In town, she's known as the person who can make problems go away. Her grandma, owner of the town's inn, is also an ex-spy living undercover. A spy granddaughter joins her spy grandma in this cozy, delicious mystery. Within two days, the lights go out, there's a jailbreak, and then three dead bodies appear. The book is filled with onion chopping (with goggles!), carrot cake making, and other delicious foods. There's a slow-burning thing between Charlotte and the town's detective. Nothing groundbreaking, but exactly the comforting cozy read I needed. My mystery- and romance-searching soul has been satisfied. I am definitely reading more of the series and the author.
The Gossip Inn and the entire town are in lockdown after convicts escape from the local prison. Georgina wants Charlotte at the Inn to help with the guests and for security but Charlotte is convinced Gamma is hiding something. There's more to this than meets the eye and anyway, lockdowns are bad for business. Her mission? Catch the escapees, find out why her grandmother is so uptight, and discover the identity of the homicidal driver of the black SUV.
I love the idea of two spies living in a small town named Gossip! Georgina's 007 weaponry and the way she and Charlotte solve cases, but still keep their identity hidden, makes for good storylines. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
Power blackout, Jailbreak, car accidents and carrot Cake cupcakes
During a power blackout, two prisoners break out of Gossip prison and end up near Georgina's Inn. Charlie witnesses a two car crash on her way to help Georgina at the end. Katherine one of the prisoners pen pals asks Charlie to help clear her name. This story has the main location as the Inn which is reminiscent of the original series and spin-off. Love seeing Goode and Charlie's relationship progress beyond the banter with Goode making the first step. Loving the hints about Delta and her arrival at the end. I'm excited to read the next book like she's guest starring in the Gamma and Charlie show before getting her own spin-off show yay!
This is a fun read with strange vibes. It's hard to take the story seriously with the spy thing going on, jail breaks, murders by hit and run, and other strange happenings. The characters are steel covered with satin, the plot is easily followed, and the premise is finding out who killed some of the escaped prisoners and why. Not all the questions were answered at least to my satisfaction. However, it's a decent read and worth your time and effort.
I’m just loving this new series! The storylines are interesting and easy to follow. The main characters of Charlie and Georgina are different in that they are granddaughter and grandmother and both are retired spies. How fun is that! And there’s a new love interest! Just keeps getting better and better! Can’t wait for the next one!
Things are tense in Gossip. The power has been out for two days and there has been a local jailbreak. The police have locked down the town. Charlie makes her way to the Inn to help Gamma since nobody is allowed outside. She witnesses a murder on her way. Can Charlie and Gamma solve the case? And what is Gamma hiding from Charlie. Another fun mystery from Rosie Point.
This is a mixed up murder with several suspects. It turns out that the culprit was the mayor. I borrowed this book from KindleUnlimted. This in no way affects my opinion of this book.
Like all the other books by Rosie A. Point this one keeps your interest and lets you think you know what awaits you. Then without warning you turn a corner and the answer is not what you expected. Great cozy mystery.
I am so glad that the author brought these characters back in a new and exciting series. This book was a really good one and the next one promises more of the same. I look forward to reading it.
A curious mystery, lots of funny scenes and one surprise after another. All blended together in a most enjoyable read! Great characters and who wouldn’t want to live in this town! Highly recommend.
Every page had some kind of trouble that had me asking, "What are the ODDS?!" Charlie cannot catch a break. A power outage. A jailbreak. And three bodies turn up on Main Street. Charlie and Gamma have a lot more on their plate this time around, and the end was a bit more surprising than the last mystery. Charlie is determined, and entirely lovable—exactly the kind of amateur sleuth you root for. And the romantic tension between her and Detective Goode is growing; it's so cute. This is such a treat! ❤️
Two prisoners break out of jail. In addition, there is a power outage. The townspeople are told to remain indoors to keep themselves safe. Charlotte and her grandmother, Georgina witness a car crash in front of their inn and three people are killed. Who is their killer? Charlotte and Georgina investigate. A page turner with lots of action and mayhem. I enjoyed reading about Charlotte's exploits
