Found this lying about at mom and dad's place when I couldn't sleep. Great kids book, and I say that as someone with the heart, and frequently the humor, of a nine year old boy. The pictures are great, it's funny, and I actually totally learned something (pronghorn can run 70 mph!!). Overall I recommend it. Makes me want to get his other books...

Actual photos of animal butts, with descriptions and full frontal pics that follow, this is hilarious and so age appropriate because butts are hilarious! A wonderful gift from a dear friend, we've read it over and over, giggling every time at the different feathered, furry and smooth behinds.

Cute book. Photographer starts by saying he takes pictures of animals but they don't always work out and sometimes they move and all he gets is a picture of the animal's butt. So there are different "butts" and you guess which animal they belong to before it's revealed what kind of butt or to what kind of animal the said butt belongs to. I thought I'd get them all...WRONGO, and that's what made it fun.

I just read this book as a bedtime story to kids. Not gonna lie, if I we’re judging this book by the cover alone, I would not have picked this book up at all. That said, I love a book that makes kids want to learn about the natural world. And this book is chefs kiss on getting little minds curious about animals.

And for that reason this gets 5 stars from me. Buy it for any kid reluctant to reading nonfiction. Such a smart idea.

I must be a sick puppy but the title got my attention. AND, even sicker, I enjoyed every page!! It was fun to look at an animal butt and guess what animal it belongs. I got all of them right except the birds, at least I got bird? RIGHT!? It was also good to read the information about each animal in the back!

Wildlife photographer Stan Tekiela starts off this book by explaining how sometimes animals run away as he's trying to take their pictures and all he gets is a picture of their butts. Then, we are treated to photos of different animal butts, and as we guess and turn the pages we get a full photograph from the front and a couple facts about each animal. This is a great group read aloud!

I love this book! I saw it at work and was like "Yes... yes, I must read it!" It was so cute and informative! What a fun way to introduce animals and give information about them - I was able to guess most of the animals by their butts :-p So much fun!

Silly and educational. Guessing books that give you hints to try and guess whose butt is in the picture then you see the front of the animal. There were even some butts that are not native to where I live and I didn't know what they were going to be! Very cute.

A silly title and premise but it shows that humor CAN go hand it hand with education. If you make learning fun then children will want to learn more. I recommend giving it a look. It is short and sweet. You can finish it in less than an hour and be entertained.

I am considering getting this for Char for Christmas. Butts... one of her favorite topics and a go-to source of high comedy. I could justify my purchase as encouraging an interest in zoology. Anything that might lead her to the math/science route is beneficial. To be shelved alongside Char's cherished copy of 'Who Pooped in the Sonoran Desert?' which is actually an excellent study of the varying scat and tracks left by different desert animals.

(But why say 'scat' when you can say 'poop?' And laugh until you snort?)

My 4-year old son really enjoyed this book! And not just because the word Butt is in the title :)

The book opens with a statement from a nature photographer who explains that many of his photos end up being of an animal's behind because they run away.

Each page features an animal's rear, and the reader has to guess what animal it is. The following page offers the answer, a brief description of the animal and a few interesting facts - just enough for a kid to find interesting and not overwhelming.

A fun and well-written non-fiction pick for the Age 3-7 set!

I had to giggle when I found this in our pile of books that our Liberian pulled for us to read. As I started reading it to my special needs teen age boy. We giggled and learnt all the way through it. This book makes learning fun, and the way the book is helps the listener-reader interact... It shows a pile of a butt of an animal and asks "Whose Butt is this?" then the next page will tell you and tell you information about that animal. In the back of the book it gives more additional information about the various animals for the reader to read if they wanted to. A very good Science book!

I love non-fiction that makes kids interested in reading. This book is very creative. It features pictures of animal behinds, and you have to guess which animal it is. Each photo is accompanied by a short rhyme, which Christopher read. And then the next page reveals the answer along with interesting facts about the animal - involving their butts. I read those parts. We really had fun with this book.

Fabulous photography and simple text make this a great non-fiction choice for young readers. They will enjoy the guessing aspect of the book as well as being able to say "butt" over and over again.

This book is silly, and has all the implicit chuckles you'd expect...It is a less instructive, more goofy, Everybody Poops.
