Pride Pet Play 2023
Daddy's Dragon: An MM Pet Play Romance
HARVEY
Nothing in my life is going right. My bakery dreams aren’t happening. My dragon play wings are damaged. And my love life sucks.
Pride is around the corner and I’m uninterested in people throwing happiness in my face.
Until I met him.
He helps me relax. He helps me play. But will this all end once the magic of Pride is over?
MITCHELL
I looked for love in every corner. And the idea that I might never find love scared me.
Everyone in town knew me, and everyone expected great things from me. I suffered in silence with my struggles.
Then I met him.
A sweet, spicy twenty-something who sparks a fire in me with his dragon play. Could I be the one to tame him?
Anything can happen at Shaftdale Pride… like fanning a flame into a burning HEA.

Daddy's Dragon by Joe Satoria is part of the Pride Pet Play Series by multiple authors. Daddy's Dragon is the story of Harvey and Mitchell.
I really liked their story. It was sweet, fun, sexy, full of feels and very well written.

I have come to really appreciate the last couple stories Joe Satoria has written. This one did not disappoint me at all! It was such a sweet reading. I really love characters who can be an adult in real life but regress into whatever they want to be. All these stringent rules of “acting our age” can be so constraining at times. Nothing wrong with acting like a kid at times!!!! I look forward to more stories from Joe Satoria! This story is one of the multi-authors stories in the Pride Pet Play series. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to read this one. 5 stars reading from me!
The story focuses on Harvey, a baker who dreams of having his own bakery and loves Dragon playing. This is the side nobody knows about. He kept it a secret because he’s embarrassed what others would think about this. He also bake desserts at a school during lunch and works at a bakery at other times. One day at lunchtime, he was baking dessert when a guy came in the school kitchen. He scared Harvey so much that the pan with the dessert toppled and kinda ruined it. But it was somewhat salvageable. The guy was able to take a dessert and left. After Harvey finished baking the desserts, he was about to head out to his bakery job when this guy surprised him once again. Harvey was putting his bag in the trunk of his vehicle when he heard the guy say something. He quickly slammed the trunk because he didn’t want that guy to see his dragon wings. Unfortunately, as he slammed the trunk, his wings got bent.
Mitchell, an aspiring writer who was trying to finish a book about dragons was a substitute teacher at a school. He saw this adorable guy baking dessert in the school kitchen and accidentally scared him. And he scared that guy again out in the parking lot. He was trying to get Harvey’s attention since his vehicle battery had died and he had no way of getting home. Harvey begrudgingly drove him home. On the ride home, they learned more about each others and their love for dragons! That’s where I’m going to stop and have you pick up the book and read to find out whether the dragon wings was fixed or not! A sweet reading!

Yikes. I'm genuinely wondering if the KU version I am reading is the final version or an earlier rough draft. Like the bones of a cute story are there, but it needs a lot of polish. This is the second Pride Pet Play 2023 book I've decided to read and I picked it because the dragon intrigued me, but I think I'm going to have to go ahead and DNF it because it's just not working for me.
Welp, I persevered and finished, but I don't know if that makes me doggedly determined or TSTL as a character. This was really disappointing, like I mentioned it has a good base and there were parts of the book that I liked well enough I just felt like I was slogging through trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel, which is a terrible statement for something that is supposed to be enjoyable. It was riddled with typos, grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, and plot inconsistencies. The characters were all very flat and the narrative relied heavily on telling rather than showing, making it virtually impossible to feel the connection between the characters.
Harvey (23) is a self-taught baker with a chip on his shoulder and high opinion of himself.
Mitchell (31) is a substitute school teacher who dreams of being a published author and falls in love too easily.
A chance encounter in the kitchen of the school cafeteria brings these two together and that basically it.
Oh!
Harvey is into pet play as a dragon and because Mitchell is writing a book about dragons he knows all about the dragon pet play scene and how to be a handler. I enjoyed some of those scenes but would have preferred more passion, which seems like an odd statement considering the whole ovipositor dildo but even that felt detached and technical.

Il m'aide à me détendre.

Harvey is a dragon but nothing in his life is going to plan - his bakery dreams are not happening and now his dragon play wings are damaged. Pride is just around the corner and he doesn't want all these happy people to throw it in his face. Then he meets Mitchell who helps him to relax and play but will it last? Mitchell has looked for love everywhere and is scared he will never find it. When he meets sassy Harvey with his dragon play sparks a fire in him. Anything can happen at Shaftdale Pride… like fanning a flame into a burning HEA.
I enjoyed this story with the sassy Harvey and the determined Mitchell and how well they worked together as a couple. I loved the way that Mitchell was determined to help Harvey with his dreams and that he was enjoying the dragon play too. A lot was unsaid between them although it could be interpreted from what was inferred - I think much of that was due to Harvey's sassy nature. Easy to read, feel and understand. It was a very enjoyable read. This was an MM story with some mature content and BSDM-like DDLB behaviours with dragon play.

Joe Satoria's contribution to the Pride Pet Play multi-author series takes us to Shaftdale, where his most recent Daddy/boy series takes place and drops us right into a meet-cute involving melt in your mouth desserts...
Featuring instant attraction on Mitchell's part and a bit of hesitation on Harvey's we see these two men find common ground over something they both love - dragons... and everything moves quickly - the steam, the scenes and the dragon play, but it works in this instance and we get to see additional glimpses of how the men compliment each other and build each other up.
This is a truly low angst read, with an adorable dragon and the man who finds dragons adorable - don't forget to eat before you read or you'll be craving sweets or heat all the way through the book as Harvey bakes all sorts of yummy treats and adds hot sauce to everything else.

Daddy’s Dragon - A Sweet Treat
‘I gave in to him, this is what we did. I did all the talking and getting him riled up, and then I reaped the rewards of him doing all the physical work. It was exhausting being a dragon.’
Mitchell finds the love of his life in Harvey, a dragon-play baker, in Joe Satoria’s MM romance, Daddy’s Dragon.
This book was able to combine many clever components of a beginning relationship, especially the angst partners feel as they are attempting to maneuver through the first stages of falling in love. Mitchell truly accepts every quirk of Harvey’s and that helps Harvey understand he can feel safe with Mitchell.
Big shout out to the common theme of acceptance of all!

Harvey is a baker who gives Mitchell, a writer a lift in his car. Harvey is into pet play as a dragon and Mitchell wants to be his handler. What Mitchell calls Harvey's sass, I thought was annoying. Mitchell seemed to be an indiscriminate dater, dating anyone who was gay. The couple grew on you as they furthered their relationship. This book has lots of dragon play, good friendships and a loving relationship with an oven and very low angst. I give it 3.5 stars. I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary opinion.

I have really come to enjoy this author’s books. He can be relied on for steamy books, with a great level of fun and chemistry between the characters. I can count on this character to write characters that are entertaining, and somewhat challenging. They are not always likable, but the story is always rewarding.
I found both Mitchell and Harvey to be frustrating at times, but it was relatable.
I really look forward to more books in these series!

I loved Daddy's Dragon. I loved Harvey and Mitchell. Harvey loves to bake. He doesn't get appreciatd for his desserts. Other people take credit for his baking because it has their name on the building. Mitchell wanted someone to make a spark. He was ready to give up until he saw Harvey baking. Mitchell waited out of the school because his car wouldn't start so he asked Harvey for a ride. He saw how they treated Harvey so he told him about his experience and about the book he's trying to write

Mitchell and Harvey are Daddy/dragon in this new story from Joe Satoria.
This is not a typical Daddy/boy story either; but rather one with pet play or rather dragon play. Harvey is the dragon with a bit of sass to him and Mitchell is his handler.
This is the first time I've read a dragon play story as I've read plenty of different pet play books.
I was given an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

What a sweet story. Harvey works as a pastry chef at the local high school and was making deserts when Mitchell, a part time teacher, was introduced to him. When Harvey left the school, Mitchell was there as his car battery had dies and Harvey gave him a lift. This started their relationship of how they got together. Great chemistry, high heat and lots of dragon play. Cannot wait to read more.

This is a sweet story of finding the one that is the best match for you. Harvey has been keeping to himself and just enjoying letting his inner dragon out. Mitchell is working on his first novel with a dragon theme. They are brought together over some stolen treats. They just click together. I love the way their life just works.

Taming a dragon can be great fun!
Too much for many—but could Harvey and Mitchell be just right for each other?
Enjoy the process and fun Mitchell and Harvey have as Mitchell goes about taming “dragon Harvey!!!”

I loved the small town setting and the characters of Harvey and Mitchell and their shared interest in dragons. My first pet play story involving dragons and it was magical.

Good Book
Well written story and well developed characters! Maybe trying too hard. It seemed a bit disjointed to me. Or maybe I was reading too much into it.

this was just bad. I kept waiting for it to improve and should have just given up hope and DNF'd it. The characters were all over the place. Dragon was used 700 bazillion times in the story. I like this genre but this book was a fail for me.

I loved Daddy's Dragon and struggled to put it down. This sweet story flowed well and I enjoyed reading Harvey and Mitchell's journey.
