I have read other books by this author that held my interest. This Is the first one that just didn't pull me in with the different characters that were introduced as a part of this series. The storyline rambling on about Steve, the main character, being naive & basically manipulated by everyone.he knew. From his uncle, his girlfriend Angelica to most of his friends. Except for James. But Steve's their plug...?!
I guess I was looking for someone he trusted to open his eyes & challenge his way of thinking. Just to add a little more spice to his character, IMO..

It was a rough read. Unless my kindle app decided to skip a prologue synopsis or something. I didn't know he was former athlete, saw this in the description for the second book amongst other things that didn't make sense. Like how did he know they were in a hotel. How was he able to go from struggling to pay rent to spending tens of thousands of dollars on whatever. I had high hopes for this book/series but after reading the description for the second book it doesn't seem like anything will make sense going forward.
Like you caught her cheating and you stayed. The dude beat you up. You "knocked him out" then he shot you. Stole the drugs and then the girlfriend hits them steals the drugs back and now everything is good. But she's still cheating?

The MMC and the current FMC are children in grown folks bodies. they both got on my fucking nerves! At different times, I wanted to slap the shit out of both of them!
They were not on the same level and stayed with each other out of convenience.
I'm going to complete the series just to see how bad this mess gets. I might DNR this author after completion.

This book was a really good read. I enjoyed it. But in reality you can't turn a hoe into nothing she don't want to be. Read it for yourselves. Then you willno what I mean. I hate to tell the story. Just believe it do have it Juicy parts. Lata

oh man that was ok
This book starts off giving you a headache, I was apprehensive about continuing but I can’t start and not finish. Turns out that was a good choice it’s still hella crazy and very messy but the end boy you’ll see.

This was a love triangle urban romance, and I honestly was not a huge fan, I think the street language, while appropriate to the setting,.was over used and unnecessary at times..not a fan of a book that still uses the N word

Unlike any other book I’ve read and I really enjoyed it! The dramaaaaa was crazy and had you judging everyone. And that cliffhanger at the end was even more shocking!
