Awww, this really was Foxy and Flirty. So adorable.
I loved seeing hints of their story in “Display Me” already and I had so much fun with a scene from that book —when Kingston enters Cal’s office at the club to discuss something about his mysterious date that night while Jules is “hiding” under his desk— only for it replay from Jules’ POV this time. It was awesome.
I loved the fox play! 🦊
I want Seth’s story so bad!!

I'm loving that some of these unusual pets challenge the typical mindset about subs and pet play and that's one of the things I love about the dynamic and Jules' character in Foxy and Flirty... He's both subbish and independent, playful and primal, timid and bold and I'm there for it!
Cal has so many mirror characteristics - dominant but shy, strong but hesitant, caring but cautious and once again, I love the fact that Quinn makes him vulnerable and open.
Set in one of Kota Quinn's existing worlds, we also glimpse side characters who have found their special person and that builds on the enjoyment, but if this is your first Kota Quinn book. you'll easily be able to stay in the action (and you'll probably grow your tbr to find out the backstories). Like all of the Pride Pet Play books they can be read in any order, and all of the ones I've read so far have been excellent.

I had actually just read Kota Quinn's last one about Rowen. But I didn't know there were stories about all these other cool people.
So this story precedes Rowen's but Rowen is very much a part of this one too.
This story is a love story about Jules and Cal. The two have spent forever just crushing on each other. Their friends have worked hard Rowen, Seth, and Hunter included to get them together. It is actually the Mayor who also helps as well. Jules is very much into pup play except he is a fox. Cal is a Daddy and likes to be a good Daddy /handler. When Cal meets Jules in masks, he thinks he has found the one.
During their meeting they agreed to puppy play and dates.
Their friends wondered many dates later what was making them so happy?
Basically their love and mutual respect grew for each other.
There is still some hidden things I don't want you to miss.

I adore this series. I have binged it. I am going for the next one.

New to me and really good
So Kota Quinn is a new author for me. Sometimes I have a hard time with new authors because I lose interest with the writing style, but not with Kota Quinn.
This story was such a nice surprise. Great characters and great storyline. Also a must for me, this is low-angst. I loved that this was a little fox and Cal who loved him. I have already added the recommended books at the end to my TBR. And I would love to read Seth's book.

so cute
For my first dip into pet play this was fun and cute. I enjoyed the dynamics and that they embraced each others needs. The writing was good the smexy was nice and the side character were sweet.

Ya'll have zero idea how I adore this book. Cal and Jules are life. They go perfectly together. Tongue-tied Cal??? Perfect. Sweet flirty Jules. Amazing. Foxy Jules. Adorable. I was here for every second. And the steamy bits 🔥🔥🔥 sooo fire. Like daaaang. I love how Cal and Jules just fit together so well. And I loved the cameos from Display Me 👀

At the time I wasn't really into reading k!nk, but F&F recently came up on a recommendation (and I love everything Kota writes) so I thought I'd check it out. Worst outcome - it wasn't for me, and Kota would get paid for a few KU pages 🤷🏻♀️
🌈 Spoiler (but not a surprise): I adored "Foxy & Flirty"! Jules is a fox crushing on the older gentle, flustered man who comes into his restaurant often. Cal is the part owner of the local k!nk club crushing on the younger Maître D of his favorite restaurant. They circle each other for years before their friends get sick of their BS and scheme to get them together in the middle of Jules planning the city's #Pride event. Of course, shenanigans occur - the most prominent one being Jules under a desk during a meeting 🫠😏

This is such a sweet book! I feel like I know all the men in Olivia Cove now. Jules is in a spot of trouble. He’s just lost his roommate and best buddy to an emergency move. His friend handled all the bills and now he’s nervous and worried about what he’s going to do next. When he sees his crush at the restaurant where he works, he is in such a tailspin and gets excited when they’re finally introduced! What’s a boy to do when everything seems to be falling apart?
I’m a huge fan of sweet love! For me, Jules is so sweet and lovable. This book took us on a whirlwind romance. We got to see characters from other books by author Kota Quinn and it really made the book even better. I’m a huge fan of series reads and even though each of the books has been part of a different series (see below), I love the fact that they are all connected as friends in this book. Can I please live in Olivia Cove?!
I absolutely loved this book. Kota has a knack for giving her MCs so much depth in such a small amount of space that I feel like I know them after one chapter!
Cal and Jules...I've been waiting on their story since Display Me and Kota did not disappoint me. This book was better than I could have imagined. I had so much fun getting into the fox headspace with Jules. He was so cute and flustered and adorable and sweet. He was the perfect little fox and I love how Cal took care of him. I really loved how strong Jules was, even though he was a bit of a mess. He wanted to learn, and Cal was the perfect teacher. Cal was the best Daddy Dom and Handler. Everything he did was with Jules in mind and I thought it was so sweet.
I have only read one pet play book that I thought was only okay, but I think this book may have changed my mind. It felt like a beginners guide to pet play and I enjoyed how subtle the play was, while also giving insight on the kink.
I need more from Olivia Cove. I want everyone's story. I NEED THEIR STORIES! If you're wondering if you should give this book a chance, this is your sign. Read it! You won't be disappointed!

3.5* This carried on in the same universe as Display Me. Jules is the Maitre 'd at a fancy restaurant were Cal, the local kink club owner hangs out and gets tongue tied around gorgeous young Jules. When Jules's roommate moves out he's at a bit of a loss, he's great at work but pretty unable to manage his own life and bills. He also like to be a fox (rather than a pup). He's also attracted to Cal but it's the typical Cal thinks he's too vanilla and Jules thinks he's too hot.
They finally get together (anonymously on Jules's part) and then Jules tries to convince Cal to participate in the Pride events in town and they just sort of get together. Cal doesn't want to be a daddy/handler 24/7 and except for his personal life Jules is pretty adept, so he just needs to help him some. So they fit and it was cute. A fox is different although I did find for a daddy dom Cal's inability to function around Jules a bit weird. But on the whole a cute pet play book. I have enjoyed this author's work since I started reading it.

Jules has pretended to be quite a vanilla gay man but when he finds out that Daddy Dom Cal who part-owns the BDSM club Dark Satin has a crush on him he can't help himself and flirts with him while wearing his fox ears. When Jules shows up at the club asking for them to agree to participate in the town's pride parade Cal is tempted to give in to him especially if he will take him as part of the bargain.
I enjoyed this story with the young Jules who knew he was a fox but really didn't know much about the scene properly and the experienced Cal who was just captivated by Jules. I liked the play dates as well as the proper dates although they often blurred lines which detracted from their intentions. I loved that their friends were so supportive in their own way. Easy to read and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB relationship with pet play.

I adore the fact that Jules is not your typical pet. Most pet play books you have kittens and puppies, however this book embraces pet play on a broader horizon and accepts bunnies and dragons and more. Jules accepting that he is a fox and doesn't have to fit the tradition puppy or kitten is a highlight moment.
I love watching Jules and Cal really come together but even watching Jules really come understand that he doesn't have to have a handler or Master. That kink is really what works best for the individual.

This was very good and I would have happily read another 200 pages. I think the story within the 200 some pages is good and interesting and developing great characters but I do think a little bit of extra length would have added more to the story. I especially loved the unconventional pet for pet play. Foxes are a rarer animal and I loved seeing how the dynamic worked with that. I also love the idea of a tongue tied Dom. That's so cute to me. Anyway I was here for it.

This story. is low angst and very cute. Jules seems to be a mess as he just lost his roommate and he has to figure out how to pay for everything. But you get to see he is much more than his mess. Cal is there at the right time. There is a little bump at the beginning but then things seem to move forward.

Absolutely Adorable!
This is the first time I’ve read from this author and I’m so glad I did! I love the depth and brief backstory for Cal and Jules. I loved that it had the right amount of angst and they were able to solve everything and finally go on a date!!

I liked the uniqueness of a fox pet, it isn't one that you see very often. Jules not wanting to be entirely reliant on Cal was sweet to show with asking for help in financial planning instead of asking for money. It was a really sweet read with a couple of steamy moments.
