After a harrowing fall, Jane wakes up in Aldrick's castle with no memory of him or their past. Determined to win her heart again and help her remember, Aldrick takes care of Jane as she recovers, showing her around the castle and making romantic gestures. But Jane remains distant and confused, questioning her feelings for the monster she's been told about in stories. As Aldrick becomes increasingly frustrated, their relationship hangs in the balance. Will Jane fall in love with him again, or will she choose to leave the castle and forget their past forever?
I really wanted to like this book more. Loved the concept, and the characters there just wasn't enough story. It felt a bit like ground hog day going over the same things but at the same time felt as though there were pages missing. The story didn't feel complete. It just stopped, then went onto Dorathy. I'm not sure if it will continue into the Dorathy books, but that feels as though it's a new character. I felt like the story was missing background and explanations I'm most parts. It can be a good story. it just needs to be fleshed out a lot. Especially since there are two books.
While I enjoyed part 1 and this follow on. It seems like it does not follow how the first part left it. Disjointed in parts like there is a mess of pages missing. Complete 180 turn around. Could have been fleshed out a lot more and made to follow on from the 1st book. History got rewritten/feelings didn't fit well into it with no explanation.
I’m really disappointed in this one. The first was really great. But this one… There were tons of words missing and didn’t make sense and the author kinda went of the rails a few times and not fully finishing the story line before moving on to something else.
So I Kind of feel like I am missing part of the 1st story to then reading this one. Do maybe I read it wrong or maybe I need to read the bonus before reading this one...
