This book contains short reflections (ranging from 1/4 to 1 page long) for each day of the year. Good if you were looking for something for morning or evening meditation or prayer time. The reflections are little stories, usually about something that happened on that day in history, or that season of the year, or something from the bible or other faith traditions, including myths. Ed Hays is a liberal catholic and master story teller.

Definitely worth the read for any kind of spiritual inspiration with a splash of humor. You don't have to read this day by day, you can just blow through all of it or pick days that are special to you. Saints' feast days, historical noteworthy events, and general fun days. Great as a gift, which is how I received it, and I'm forever grateful to my campus minister for it.
