Humor is at the forefront of Mike Andrelczyk's newest collection of poems, !!!. Maybe it's because I'm also interested in humor writing, or maybe it's just because the poems are that good, but I often found myself wishing I had written some of these lines. Twisting sentences in new ways, dropping a barrage of punchlines, leaning into bits. It all works here. I liked this one even better than his 2020 collection, Gateway 2000 and Other Poems, and that's saying a lot, because that book kicks ass.
