this was a travelogue and so very well written but it did become a bit of a bore for me. If you plan to travel to Venice or did so many years ago, then this is your book. It was not a page turner, I had to force myself to keep at it but am glad to have read it.

Un libro meraviglioso, nel quale ad essere protagonista è, soprattutto, la Serenissima. Qui Venezia è ritratta in una serie di schizzi che ne immortalano vari aspetti con uno stile poetico. Tra non molto disponibile nella prima traduzione italiana.
