January 2, 2026Volume 4 really heightens the stakes. We get a lot more insight into other characters—especially Cyril and Glenn—as well as the enemies working behind the scenes. We’re also properly introduced to new characters like the Abyss Shaman, who I honestly loved. Everything feels like it’s slowly spiraling toward chaos, and the plot truly thickens here. I found myself worrying about how everything will unfold and what kind of choices Monica will be forced to make in the future.
That said… a lot happens in this volume. There are so many reveals and plot threads that it felt overwhelming at times. I caught myself missing the more carefree moments Monica had in the earlier volumes. Reading it all in one sitting probably didn’t help, because I felt exhausted by the end of it. I do hope to see more of Ray, as he brought some much-needed humor and levity when everything else was tense.

⁀➷ I’m still really curious about Nero’s background. It's clear by now that he's not just an ordinary familiar.
⁀➷ Cyril giving Monica the white rose was really sweet, but I was expecting more than just a short dance. After all that buildup, it ended so quickly that it left me a little disappointed.
⁀➷ Felix’s situation has me on edge, and the hints about his future definitely have me holding my breath.
⁀➷ Some of the side characters—especially Isabelle and Lana—still feel pretty flat. They tend to show up only when needed and then fade into the background, which makes them feel more like props than actual characters.
⁀➷ I also had issues with Monica’s confrontation with Ewan and Heidi. Two intruders managing to escape despite the presence of three sages, Ryn (a high spirit mage who excels in flying at high speeds), and Nero felt… not very believable. It was a bit of a letdown, but I won’t dwell on it too much.

Overall, this volume was more stressful to read than the previous ones. Between student council responsibilities, signs of an impending war, the intruders, jealousy, and the hinted love triangle, the tension kept going. I like the rising stakes, but I do miss the lighter, cozier feel of the earlier volumes.

My favourite volume so far!
In spite of the introduction of the love triangle, this volume also introduces higher stakes and has a decent amount of world-building. Though it takes place in the span of a single day, the volume is written in such a way, that it never feels either too fast paced or too complicated!

I only had a suspicion about the prince’s secret the second time I read volume 3, and now that I finished volume 4, it’s kind of confirmed for me.
The author introduces characters in such a natural and memorable way. I absolutely love the Abyss Mage, he’s so weird! And weirdly cute!
I really like the author’s writing. Even with the translation, the beauty of the prose shines through and makes the story and the characterization so bright.

This is my first ever time reading a light novel. Picked it up after finishing the anime because I was so entranced with the world. It's been a while since I encounter a story where I'm so obsessed with the characters, plot, and the world. It's a good feeling.
Definitely needed to get used to reading this genre though. The style of writing is hard to read if you're used to reading normal novels. I find it a bit fanfiction-y, but I can see how it lends well to being source material for a manga or anime.

Total and Utter Chaos — and I’m Loving It!
Here comes the most complex love story ever told.
The Prince has feelings for Monica, but thinks of her as a little squirrel 🐿️. Cyril also has feelings for Monica, but sees it as his duty to help her—and even asks her for the first dance at the ball. Meanwhile, the Prince has a crush on the Silent Witch, who is admired by Ike. Ike is friends with Monica, but wants more than friendship and hopes she’ll remember him.
Bridget and Eliane are both vying for the Prince’s attention, hoping he’ll choose one of them to marry.
The only “normal” love story—though maybe not so normal—is Claudia and Neil’s. I’m finally happy Claudia got what she wished for and had her moment dancing with Neil at the ball.
Like I said, the book is total and utter chaos—but I’m loving it! It’s funny, dramatic, and absolutely entertaining.

ame esta novela, esta en mi segundo lugar.
Ame el nacimiento del triángulo amoroso (aunque por el momento el lado de Félix va ganando) y como plasmó los sentimientos de Cyril, aunque este aún siga diciéndose que lo que hace es por el principe, lo que me deja con el pensar de que pasara cuando se de cuenta que el principe está hasta el cuello con Mónica y que en lugar de ayudar le esta dando una crisis de ansiedad a Félix jajajajaja.
eso me lleva a los maravillosos celos de Félix y de como ya de manera más abierta expresa lo mucho que quiere a Mónica. no se como se desarrolla la historia y más con lo qje se está planteado del origen de nuestro principe y como aparentemente el verdadero ya no está en este mundo ( o eso pienso)
Este último personaje me lleno de intriga por que nos deja una incógnita de que carajos hizo el papa de Mónica.
Bueno me salto al 4.5

I really love the humor in this series. It mostly relies on outrageous and unexpected reactions and situations, which is just my style. The way the characters are ever evolving as the plot events play out both in the forefront and the background is also really fascinating and engaging. I also like that while we are limited in Monica’s pov, it also doesn’t necessarily limit the perspective to only hers, weaving in and out as the plot needs to drop yet another delicious clue into whatever this big mystery is ranking up to be.

June 10, 2025Le volume se concentre cette fois ci sur le festival scolaire pendant lequel Monica va devoir faire face à plusieurs défis à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur.
J'apprécie de voir l'évolution de notre protagoniste, qui tisse des liens petit à petit et qui a toujours des interactions assez funs, mais je regrette la simili-absence de fil rouge au niveau du récit.
En fin de compte la situation n'a pas beaucoup changé depuis le second tome, et j'aimerais bien que ça évolue dans la suite pour que la série ne perde pas en intérêt.

Ooooh Prince Felix already catching feelings? 😏 It looks like the love triangle was more highlighted in this volume. I also definitely enjoyed the introduction of new characters since I have yet to see them in the anime. This also showed more hints of a brewing political war between the Empire and the Kingdom, so the plot is definitely moving forward!
Also, I may have spoiled myself a little after searching for fanarts online lol. But that scene with Felix and Monica with astronomy? Yep, a major clue about our mysterious prince.
(I’m still Team Felix, I fear)

Ohh, we meet another Sage and he's also adorkable--haha! Nero was right, none of the Sages are normal u__u Also really enjoyed getting to know Cyril better and the boy is really sweet with Monica now--which seems to be making Felix a bit jelly (oh no, a triangle? --kidding we all saw this coming, no?;;)

This is one of my favourite volumes. School festival! Lot of characters and incidents involved.
The introduction of a new mage character, the Abyss Shaman, funny in his own unique way lol.
As usual, my focus is Cyril. He may hide behind the excuse of the student council’s image, but his constant attention to Monica proves that his concern is sincere.

So curious to see where the story is going/endgame is. Each volume keeps hinting at some big conspiracy or scheme, but for the life of me, I can't quite decide what it is.
I really appreciated getting more background on some of the other characters - Cyril and Claudia, in particular.

الساحرة الصامتة مونيكا ما بعد الكتاب الرابع,قصص قصيرة بين الكِتاب الرابع والخامس.
في المجلد الرابع تم اكتشاف العديد من الامور القاسية على الماضي مونيكا,الساحر الحاجز لويس الذي عرف حقيقة الامير الثاني وسوف يتم اعتباره عدوا ربما من المجلدات القادمة.
كان المجلد الرابع ممتع جدا,عديد من الشخصيات فهمت اهدافها والدوافع والماضي
مثل والدة سيريل ,لماذا خطب كلوديا ونيل,الساحر الهاوية راي البرايت وغرابة اطواره
لكن هذا التغير كان سبب في فشلها في محاربة العدو,الساحرة التي ترى البشر ادوات ولا تتعاطف مع موتهم او حتى مايحدث لهم في السابق
اصبحت ترى الاخرين اصدقاء وقابلت عديد من يساعدونها مثل عائلة ايزابيل والساحر الهاوية وصديقتها لونا والصديق السابق بارني جونز ,طالب متدرب جلين لدى لويس
شئ الجميل في هذه الرواية تعدد وجهة الشخصيات وهذا امر نادر في الروايات الخفيفة حالية,فقط نرى مايحدث لي البطل عادة فقط,اما في قصة الساحرة الصامتة نتعرف على مشاعر الحب والكراهية والحزن والقسوة والسعادة من خلال العديد من شخصيات وهذا اراه مميز.
الآن المجلد ما بعد الرابع متوفر كتاب صوتي اللغة اليابانية ويعتبر فرصة رائعة
