DIABOLICAL DRAGON MAY INCREASE FOREST FIRE FREQUENCY!
Landon Snow and his sisters--Holly and Bridget--are falling headlong into a fiery adventure. But they're not alone. This time, a strange boy named Max has slipped into Wonderwood with the Snows.
Transported to the burning forest, Landon is drawn into another dangerous mission--to free the elvish valley folk from their enslavement to the evil Arcans. And that's not all! Darker than forest shadows and more powerful than the Arcans is a wicked dragon named Volucer Ignis.
Will Landon be able to escape the heat of the dragon's fiery wrath and lead his friends to freedom? And how will the strange boy named Max factor into this incredible new adventure--as friend or foe? Can Landon--a mere mortal in need of cunning and courage--find the faith and strength to accomplish the seemingly impossible?
Who can prevent Volucer Ignis from destroying them all?
R. K. Mortenson, an ordained minister in the Church of the Lutheran Brethren, has been writing poems and stories since he was a kid. A former Navy chaplain, Mortenson is a pastor in North Dakota. He serves a church in Mayville, where he lives with his wife, daughter, and two sons.
Much darker than the other three, this one starts out slowly with a bit of backward time travel (I've never been a fan of time travel). We also meet a new character and learn more about a feud between the Snow family and the Westmorelandfieldshire family. We finally meet the great dragon who has once again enslaved the people and animals of Wonderwood, and discover that Max Westmoreland is under the dragon's influence and has been in Wonderwood before. We're still not sure how much Grandpa knows.

This is the 4th book in the series. I just started reading this one to my kids. We loved the first three and thus one seems to be starting off well....
