This book, written prior to the ebook era, was the first cuckold novel I ever read. It was published as part of Nexus's Enthusiast line, which was dedicated to exploring various kinks/fetishes.

The author has a clear understanding of the cuckold mindset, and that translates into some hot scenes. The deliberate pace at the beginning of the book works well, since the cuckold fetish is heavily psychological anyway. (The wife in the story is named Desdemona, which was a bit too on the nose for me. I'm down with Shakespeare references, but they should be more subtle than that.)

Interestingly enough, this same author--whose real name is Ashley Lister, I believe--wrote another book in the Enthusiast line called Hotwife. Kudos to Nexus for exploring both different areas of the cuckold-hotwife continuum. (I personally prefer cuckold stories myself, but I digress!)
You may not hear a lot about Cuckold these days, but for fans of the genre, it is well worth checking out.

From the blurb on the back, I had real high hopes for this book, as it sounded as if it has a half decent storyline. But, after reading the first 6 chapters, I didn't see one develop much - Edwin just seems to have paranoid fantasy after fantasy, with no real motive offered for why he is like that. I'm guessing that may well be revealed later on in the book, but I honestly don't want to waste any of my time finding out!!

Sooooo slow to build into a magnificent crescendo of beauty! The invigorating angst is superbly constructed within the reader; following closely in dire anticipation of every step Edwin takes upon this incredible path of a fulfilled relationship. Not just wank fodder as some might expect, but a genuinely worthy story of sweetly relatable characters and goals.

Enjoyed the cuck's slow realization of what's happening. HW was a little too cruel to be believed.
