The authors have put together an excellent reference for teachers, mentors, librarians and everyone else responsible for and dedicated to educating young minds in the post-internet world. The guide purports to be for teachers of gifted students, but use of the internet resources within will benefit everyone.
Dust off your collection of webquests and prepare to dedicate a bookmark folder or 10.
The guide is nicely organized by subjects for lesson planning and by additional resource and reference categories. It doesn't contain an entry for every educational website or resource out there. However, it does a fantastic job of collecting the essentials and makes an effort to include a little something of everything. So, whereas, it does not exhaust all of the internet teaching possibilities for everything, it serves as a great place to start.
Also included is a brief introduction including basic guidelines and advice on using the internet as a teacher/mentor with your students/mentees.
The only trouble with a volume like this is the fact that its links and recommendation may become outdated soon. Subsequent updates may be necessary, but this resource is a great jumping off point for the newly initiated and a handy reminder for those who have already immersed themselves in our new tech-savvy teaching universe.

Won this on a GoodReads giveaway. Book was easy to use and full of online enrichment activities for Gifted students. I am going to take a second look at the book. I'm curious to see how this book holds up with the passing of time, as internet resources and curricular standards are constantly changing.
