William Baxter was born in 1976 in Inverness, Florida, where he still resides today with his wife, Abbey, and their two sons. He says, “I found a place to escape from reality where I would write as a child. Later when I became a teen, I used it to vent and rage, like a form of therapy I should have received but didn’t. All the problems teens face in that part of life were all felt in my words. Writing also helped me during my mother’s ten-year battle with spinal cancer that she sadly lost in 1995. As hard as it was, I kept writing. I’ve taken the poems that I wrote then and combined them with the ones as an adult. I now can share Notes from My Head with those who love poetry and have felt the same emotions and internal struggles that I have felt.
