Forbidden love. Amara St. Clair is just out for a rare night of fun on the Vegas Strip. But when she discovers her fun-loving side in the Glitter Palace casino, a life-altering altercation with a deadly ancient vampire leaves her lying unconscious in an alley near the famous casino. Doctor, geneticist and genealogy expert Dante Luceres, dedicated to research that will keep his fellow werewolves safe and healthy, is attending a mandatory yearly event of the House of Luceres. Coming across Amara, he saves her life, though vampires and werewolves are forbidden from interfering with each other in the supernatural world. There are dire consequences for interfering with another supe’s domain, and he expects that soon both the vampires and the werewolves will be after them, but he can’t leave the beautiful, vivacious little human to suffer alone. Drawn to each other, the pair must hide from the world. But with everyone against them, including Dante’s clan and an evil vampire hellbent on having Amara for his own, how can they find a path to a shared future…and true happiness?

Lessons my Grandma taught me.

I have such fond memories of my grandmothers. They were both special in their own way and taught me so much about how to live my life that I will be forever grateful! Here’s the list of six top things they shared with me:

(1) Don’t say anything if you can’t say something nice about someone. I think this is my favorite one as it has kept me in good stead all my life.

(2) Never be late. Doing so makes you think you’re more important than someone else. You’re not!

(3) Life is too serious to be taken seriously. Keep a sense of humor, it will help get you through the hard times. They were both right about that one.

(4) Share what you can with those in need. Know what is your burden to bear, and what is not. This one has kept me sane over the years.

(5) Don’t be a critic. Critic’s don’t create, they only tear down. This helps me when reviewers say unkind things about my work. I try to remember that they probably just need a hug today.

(6) Do the best you can do at everything you do. At least then you will know you gave it your all.

Thank you, my beautiful grandmothers, for being strong and sharing your gems of wisdom with me. You did more good than you can possibly know.
Hugs, January Bain

I have not read any of the Sin City Wolf books, but after reading Hellfire by January Bain, I want more. I quickly became immersed in Amara and Dante’s lives. Shay, Amara’s BFF, is a wonderful character and Rainbow, Amara’s parrot has a large personality. I got more than I bargained for in this paranormal romance.

Amara plays life safe and if it wasn’t for her friend, Shay, she may never have any fun. Her mother passed away with ALS, Lou Gherig’s disease, and she has the RPS25 gene. Her steady money comes from journal articles, papers and dissertations she receives through the university. She loves novels about the supernatural world and would love to be able to write paranormal romance stories herself. Maybe one day?

“Too bad vampires aren’t a real thing. Not having to worry about getting sick would be sweet. Can you say fangbanger, Rainbow?”

Shay”s sister is coming into town to take care of their dad while she and Amara go out on the Vegas town to sing Karaoke at the casino. Amara catches the eye of two ‘men’.

I love a character that has challenges to overcome. and Amara has one that she could never have foreseen when she is bitten by the vampire, Pharaoh Akar I. He knew as soon as he saw her, he had to have her for eternity.

Dante has a family meeting he can’t get out of and is lured to the Karaoke contest by a sweet voice he couldn’t resist. He is a part of the most successful werewolf pack of all time, the House of Luceres. He is a doctor, studying DNA, hoping to benefit werewolves.

I think we can all see where this is going, after Dante rescues the distressed maiden from the clutches of the bad guy. Their road to a life together will be filled with danger, from both vampires and werewolves. After all, the two are mortal enemies and do not mix…or do they?

Now I know who assassinated President Kennedy. LOL

Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. The story and the characters are so well written, I was drawn into the story, smiling, laughing, worrying and fretting. The action and pacing kept the story flowing smoothly, making me ‘flip the pages’, having to know what will become of them. I am sorry I missed the first three books in the Sin City Wolf series by January Bain. I have added Hunt, Book I, to my wish list and want to know what comes next.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Hellfire by January Bain.

I was interested in this book because the author is published under the same publishing group as my first novel, Grayality. I was excited to see what my publisher and the author had to offer in this super sexy romance. If readers are looking for passion, erotica and forbidden love, they are in for a good treat.
Dante is a shapeshifter who can change into a wolf. He comes from a wealthy, powerful family and can spend his days focusing on the work he loves, which is scientific research. He wants the wolves to experience never-ending life as the vampires enjoy. Too obsessed with his job, he has written off any chance for romance, arrogantly believing he is immune. But the wolves have forever mates, and Dante is no different. Except, his true love just happens to be a vampire.
Amara is a young woman devoted to her career in the publishing industry and worried about her inevitable decline from ALS. When she is attacked and bitten by a seditious vampire named Akar, her life is forever changed. Luckily, Dante intervenes, running Akar off and taking Amara back to his place as she undergoes the transformation into vampirism. Despite the physical pain and reluctance to believe her fate, Amara cannot deny the immense yearning she has for Dante. The two lovers are compelled toward each other immediately. There’s only one problem. Wolves are forbidden to mate with vampires. Also, Akar is not giving up his infatuation with Amara that easily.
Learning about the world of vampires, wolves and even witches was fun. The author provided a scientific-sounding explanation for all the biological changes and rules. Dante was a believable character. I have been guilty of drowning myself in my work to the point of negligence of love and dating. It made sense that the one to win his heart would have to be unique. Someone like him wouldn’t just fall for anybody. The author kept the excitement going as Amara and Dante are under constant attack, and the future of their relationship stays uncertain throughout the novel. The author wove in lots of sensual sex scenes for readers who love erotica. Overall, the novel succeeded in providing a smooth flow of entertainment. I would recommend this book to romance readers.

Amara St. Clair is out for a night on the town when she comes face to face with a vampire. Amara does not believe in supernatural creatures except in books of course. But Amara’s world is about to be turned upside down with this new addition to the Sin City Wolf collection, Hellfire.

Amara is attacked by a vampire, but then a werewolf, Dante Luceres comes to her rescue. The two battle it out while Amara is lying on the ground passed out from the vampire bite.

This is one epic battle between the vampire and the werewolf. I do believe that this was my favorite scene. I could just see the battle playing out in my head with how fast the two were. Amazing! Loved it!

Against his better judgment, the wolf takes Amara home with him to help with her transformation. There are rules in the supernatural world. One is that vampires and werewolves do not ever interfere in each other's lives. But what is a man supposed to do? Leave the human lying in the alley to suffer alone? How can he?

Well, he has done it now. He has both the vampires and the werewolves hot on their trail. Dante has now encountered the wrath of his own pack by saving the human woman.

Hellfire heats up pretty quick whenever Dante and Amara are together. Hellfire is a very steamy romance that leaves nothing to the imagination. Dante and Amara are very likable characters. They are very witty with their comments and charisma. I love their relationship and the people they are.

I fell in love with the Sin City Wolf series with the first book Howl and have enjoyed each and every one tremendously. I love vampire and werewolf books but when the two live together in the same world even if they don’t get along now that is so amazing as it does not get any better than that.

Sin City Wolf is one of my favorite series ever. I can’t seem to get enough of this series and all of its hot guys. I can’t wait to read more in this world and to meet more of these hot vampires and werewolves.

I highly recommend Hellfire to all vampire and werewolf fans! Grab your copy of Hellfire today!

Fast paced, scorching, paranormal romance. Meeting friends for a night out sometimes means you have questionable encounters with a person or two, it never occurred to Amara that one of those encounters would involve a vampire. Luckily for her a wolf shifter comes to her rescue. Now just to stay safe, not drink blood, and find a way to stay together. Easy Peasy. I really enjoyed this book, it was different from other paranormal romances I have read in the past. Dante character was a blast to read, scientist first with all the logic that goes with being a scientist, wolf shifter second and along with that insanely protective of Amara. Highly recommend. *I was given an ARC and voluntarily left a review. *

This is another enjoyable addition to this series. The story is an variation, introducing some new species and characters into the Sin City World. Although this isn’t my favourite in the series I like Amara as a character and found her very easy to warm to. Dante is an unusual Wolf and his journey during the book is interesting and adds another dimension to the world.
The pace of the book and storyline is good. The events in the story is unpredictable and the action engaging to the point that it keeps the reader hooked and makes you want to read on.
I enjoy reading books by this author and I am looking forward to seeing more of the Scottish branch of the Wolf world.

This intriguing story kept me glued to the pages. Amara was bitten by an ancient vampire when Dante a were wolf geneticist happened upon her and saved her life. There is a rule by which vampires and were wolves do not interfere with each other's affairs but to save Amara's life Dante broke it. There is an attraction between them, and the feelings are growing. Will Dante be able to stay a step ahead pf his pack and the vampires to keep both himself and Amara safe?

A night out at a karioke contest goes horribly wrong when a young contestant is attacked by an obsessed vampire and rescued by a handsome stranger in this romantic paranormal adventure that takes you half way around the world. Can love and science save her?
I enjoyed this story with it's exotic settings, it's historical background and it's epic battles between werewolves and vampires.
A thoroughly enjoyable romp with a romance just spicy enough to suit the Vegas and Egyptian nights and keep the heat on in Alaska.

Amara St. Clair was looking forward to her night out in Vegas with her best friend, Shay. This was until she caught the eye of an ancient Vampire named Akar.
Dante Luceres, a werewolf, goes against the rules of their supernatural world and on hearing Akar attacking Amara takes it into his own hands to save her.
Their worlds collide and they had to try to find a way to live their lives when everyone around them was against their joining.

I'm a fan of the Sun City Wolf Series by Miss January Bain. This is a nice compliment to that story line but stands in its own. It was not hard to get into This book and enjoy the characters and storyline. I look forward to more.

This was a pretty good read. The author did a good job with the werewolf and vampire genres. I liked the main character and how he had given up on love/romance, but this hit him out of the blue. Once I started I had a hard time walking away from this story, great read!

A unique, interesting story of forbidden love with a paranormal twist. Amara is out on the town and is attacked by a vampire . She is rescued by Dante and thus begins their interesting and complicated destiny. I loved the scientific angle and Dante's research. This is book four of the Sin City series but can be read as a stand alone. I only read one of the previous books and definitely look forward to devouring the rest of the series.
