I really enjoyed reading this book to my class this year. After reading the Ghost Eye Tree and discussing the relationship between setting and mood, this was a great way to show how a different setting has a relationship to the mood of the book. I will definitely use this duo together again to teach setting/mood.

A happy summer on a Greek island, nicely written. An exotic locale, but any child who has spent a week at the beach will recognize the experience.
