If I am not writing, you might find me working on other creative projects, walking my dogs, or with family and friends soaking in the beauty of nature. I love living in the Northwest, and writing about it!

I've worked in a variety of settings including long term care and education. Highlights of all my jobs have been meeting interesting people and sharing experiences which inform my writing.

Back in 1995, I awoke from a strange winter dream not knowing I was beginning a long journey with story! My first novel, Mending Stone, published in 2011, is based on that strange dream! Updates followed in 2013. The sequel, Catching Rain, book 2 in this Possibility Series, came out in 2014! Seeding Hope, book 3, out in summer 2016!

Join the journey of change, upheavals, triumph! Story leads us in faith, mystery, love, and friendship. So much romance! So much enjoyment!

What a lovely read. A very spiritual book, with love crossing the lines of heritage and tradition. The author obviously dug deep into her heart to breathe life into her characters. I've heard there is a follow-up coming soon. Looking forward to it!

I won this book as a Goodreads giveaway and it came in the mail this afternoon. Shirking my many chores left t0 be done, I decided to read a chapter because the description on the back was so interesting. Its now almost midnight and I finished the whole book. It's that good. I loved the story and can't wait to read the next book in the series. Please write more books Sharon Duerst!!!

One of the things I like so much about Goodreads is discovering new books by authors I haven't heard of - I have found so many good books that I never would have read if I just bought books from Barnes and Noble - some of my favorite books that I've read are not even available in the bookstore.
