About the author

Margaret Ryan is a former teacher who has written over eighty books for children between the ages of five and eleven. She loves to enthuse children about books and won a Scottish Arts Council Award for her book, The Queen's Birthday Hat. She always includes the children in her audience by dressing them up as the characters in her story. She believes that author visits should be fun. She has had children's stories on T.V. and radio, and has also been commissioned to write books for schools, children's poetry, and a series of books for reluctant readers. Her books are translated into many different languages.

trying to read all the books that have been on my shelves for years lol

this ended so abruptly and i was like ?? what ??? and like i get that the point was that scary fairy was bullying airy fairy the whole time and airy fairy would be the best in the end anyways but SCARY FAIRY PISSED ME OFF SO MUCH I LITERALLY WANTED TO CURSE HER OUT SO BADLY anyways yes that is the review. i think little kids would love this book though but i hate scary fairy lol

Airy Fairy is essential good fairy who tries her best, gets it wrong and then somehow always gets it right in the end. Even though she is picked on, messes up her spells and is the clumsiest fairy.

The books are cute and teach children to keep trying and eventually you will get something right even if it does not go as planned. I am not big fan of the doodle art that is on the cover and in the books. I guess it is suppose to look childlike and free flowing like Airy Fairy.

They are chapter books so these books are short but sweet and are creative little stories.

It is ok. Not my favorite fairy book that I've read. It gets better as it goes on. I like the cover though.
