While I am generally not a big believer in the afterlife and the possible rules that may or may not happen to us, this book definitely made me think a lot about not only the possibility of life after death, but that those who are no longer with us could possibly have an effect on those still living. Although this books is not riveting I did find myself quickly turning the pages and not wanting to put it down as I followed the likable main character's life after death and her overly committed quest in attempting to influence her husband's life all the while she's adjusting to her new "life" filled with new people and new rules that she's having a hard time getting used to.

That even the most serious subjects can be approached with a sense of humor;
That much of our destiny is of our own making;
That there's a hidden meaning behind one of the character's names and the author invites readers to solve it!
