I bought this book and began reading it a few years ago during a retreat with my church. I read about half of the "journeys" and always felt at peace after I had completed each one. Each journey and destination is self-contained - and I learned something new in each chapter. One of the places I'd been to: Mt. Calvary Retreat House in Santa Barbara. In fact, I bought this book there. Sadly, the monastery burned down shortly afterwards. But there are many destinations that I want to know better - and I credit this book for bringing them to my attention
