In the gripping sequel to BE WITH ME, Jessica Cunsolo takes us back to the world of With Me.
When Siena Amato moved to King City, all she wanted to do was take care of her sister, maybe reconnect with her long-absent father, and keep her head down and her grades up. She never expected to become the prime suspect in a classmate’s disappearance–at least in the eyes of the girl’s police officer father–or to fall for Jason Parker.
Jason is everything Siena doesn’t need right now. Yes, he’s handsome, very handsome. And he’s kind and thoughtful, but he’s also got a reputation for drag racing and evading the law. Being around him isn't a good idea for a girl who is already fighting to convince everyone that she’s innocent and just wants to avoid the drama.
However, Siena can’t ignore the attraction between them, and Jason actually believes her. As their friend’s disappearance remains a mystery, the pair are even more determined to discover the truth and clear Siena’s name. But as they dig deeper, they may be risking everything including their hearts.
Jessica Cunsolo’s young adult series, With Me, has amassed over 140 million reads on Wattpad since she posted her first story, She’s With Me, on the platform in 2015. It has won a Watty award, been published in multiple languages, and is in development for a feature film with Wattpad WEBTOON Studios. I was really hoping to see more of the original characters cameos in this series. This one is good, but it would have been nice to see a glimpse of the oc's in this one, have them be more involved in Jason's life.
The turn of events in this one was good. I expected it to be a trilogy like the other 'Be With Me' series, but it was nice to see how the story would play. I liked how everything was explained, but a lot of the explanation really took you for a loop. Honestly, I was surprised Sienna's character wasn't more angry at how she was treated and taken advantage of.
Great end!
Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad Books for providing me with an ARC.
3.75⭐️ Jason and Siena are okay… in my opinion I didn’t really see their chemistry but they work? The plot ended in a way I didn’t expect and I thought (for lack of a better word) it was a dumb ending to the plot.
Huge thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad Books for providing me with an eARC!! As always it’s an honor to be able to experience the worlds Jessica Cunsolo creates in her novels. The ‘With Me’ series is a personal favorite of mine.
I had high expectations for this installment of the series, especially after following the ‘Shes with Me’ trilogy since its first wave of popularity on Wattpad. The cliffhanger from ‘Be with Me’ is so abrupt, no doubt you’ll immediately be hooked when this sequel immediately picks up where that left off.
The things I loved about this book were mostly character-oriented so obviously Siena, the perfect narrator that you have no choice but to root for achieving a rightfully deserved happy ending. Jason is the sweetest MMC EVER! It was so cute how he made Siena feel so safe no matter how tense the situation was. I don’t wanna say too much but the casual use of one nickname in particular had even me swooning. Also, I love the way Gia’s character redemption was handled, you see how this entire experience matured her by the end. Other than that, the main things I loved about this were carried on from the last book so look for my other review for my thoughts ;)
As for the plot it felt like it had so much more potential at the start before it started to fizzle out in this sequel. The author has already proved in the past of this interconnected series that she is very capable of writing a story with hectic amounts of conflict that are so overwhelming, that it’s as if a pot is boiling over with suspense and action. But unfortunately, with this, it felt like a completely different case that just made for a mediocre end product.
Some of the things I mention specifically may come off as harsh criticisms but genuinely it’s coming from a place of love for this author's past work so let me try to explain my thoughts further without giving away spoilers:
The original plot of a missing girl in this small town, all fingers pointing to the main character who had nothing to do with it yet was the last seen with her. Perfect setup. By the end of the first book, we have our first suspect who is everything you would want to see in a textbook villain. The pacing of this mystery is where it falls short though. We focus so much on this one villain getting increasingly more aggressive to gain back the one piece of possible evidence Siena has on them that it becomes a waste once the actual plot twist is revealed. It would’ve been even better in my opinion if side characters were more utilized to make the ending feel less flat. Just imagine the amount of misdirection readers would be thrown for if Warren showed signs of being a suspect or even Gia given her history early on in this sequel. There was so much more potential for it than what we got especially considering the high stakes in the original trilogy had being a murder mystery, Aiden’s father threatening people’s lives, Ryan, Kaitlyn, AND Tony on top of all those other problems. The outcome of this missing case seemed like a rather boring plot in comparison to what the author already did before.
I feel like if the plot twist was gonna end up being that unthreatening we should’ve gotten way more romance in this 2nd book. Sure Brandon and Officer Lui were great villains but it just felt like they took up too many scenes in the book that could’ve been more geared towards Jason and Siena’s bonding moments that weren’t them just dancing in the rain. There was so much room for forced proximity given what happens after chapter 19 so imagine my surprise when a lot of their interactions were glazed over. Instead what we got were numerous scenes showing how much of a bully Officer Lui was when he pulled them over like 3x (information that wasn’t necessarily needed because we already know that he abused his power). At the very least I was excited for a double date scene but to find out it never was happening before the end was really annoying. At that point why even have a character propose the idea of going out on one?
Another huge example of characters that I feel could’ve done more for the story is Siena's parents. At some point, she even wonders about how they acted when they were younger, and how they tolerated each other enough to fall in love and have two kids. And this was a big mystery in my mind too because before we got a formal introduction to Florence I was fully expecting her to subvert the expectations the author set out for us readers. So in short, glimpses into Dario and Florence lore would’ve been a really cool underlying story for Siena to figure out and possibly even help her through navigating the gossip mill that King City had in place. Again so much potential to show parallels with her parents when they were her age and uncover another mystery on whether they were actually rebellious teens or if that’s the story locals have been spinning ever since Florence left town.
I would say that the cameos were my favorite part of this and I did love them don’t get me wrong but I can’t help but mention how sparse they were in this story. I mean let’s be honest this is a spin-off to a series of an already developed cast. But the fact that we see only 1 person from that OG friend group was so crazy to me, even though they were a fan favorite. We didn’t even get an epilogue where we can get more characters interacting with one another and that just seemed cheap if the lore of this story somewhat piggybacks off the history of that original trilogy. To a certain extent, it’s understandable that the author didn’t include so much of the old cast because this story isn’t about them but it doesn’t make sense to glaze over so many unanswered questions about them in the present time. It’s just kinda silly to not tell the readers even in brief passing what happened to the main character of the last series (Thea) more specifically what’s her life look like other than being engaged to Aiden? What is Mason doing now? Did Chase and Char ever become friends again? Heck, even a reference to what Kaitlyn is up to now would’ve been interesting to hear about given her mother literally is the principal at King High. We don’t even get closure on Gia and Briana’s relationship, and they’re from THIS story.
At the end of the day, I would still recommend this story to others to read because again Jessica Cunsolo is a great writer. All of her books are comfort reads for me. But this story came off as if she didn’t know what to do with these characters anymore so it ended up not being my favorite out of the others in this interconnected series so in turn not a strong way to end everything. Maybe a short novella about Thea and Aiden’s wedding or short mini-scenes about random characters could be a better way to wrap up these little things and tie up the loose ends. If something like that was to be made I feel like there would be no room for disappointment, I for one would definitely give it a read.
Had the honor of getting an advance read on this book. This series is hands down my favorite. First falling in love with the OG gang and the crazy shit they had to go thru to now being able to see Jason and Jackson “all grown up” and see how life has changed for them and having them get into just as much trouble as their older brother haha I literally suggest this series to everyone I meet lol I love it
It’s always bittersweet when you finish a series that means so much to you. The with me series has been my ride or die series since I was in ninth grade. It got me through some of my most difficult times in my life, and I truly felt like these characters were my friends in this world was my home , and the fact that I have to say goodbye really breaks my heart. The second two installments don’t hold the same love that the first three books in my heart just because I am so emotionally attached to those characters but Jason and Siena’s story is absolutely beautiful and made me smile so hard. I need a couple of days to process the fact that I am never going to read about these characters doing more stuff.
The first three books in this series were a trilogy, featuring Thea and Aiden, and I loved their romance togehter. I think I gave them 4-5 stars each, but know they were a favorite cute little romance in my book, and I loved the little mystery behind Thea's identitiy. The fourth and fifth book however, is a duolgoy, featuring a new girl, Siena, and one of Aiden's younger twin brothers. The romance was good, the angst was good, and the mystery was good in this book. 4.5 stars!
What an amazing ending to a thrilling series! I don’t think I have ever been more aggravated at a character in my life than at Officer Liu and that is a sign of an amazing writer. I recently found Jessica Cunsolo on Amazon and in one week binge read her entire series. It’s original, captivating, and you get all the feels with no description! My all time favorite kind of book! I loved how everything wrapped up, except I wasn’t too fond of what actually happened to Lucy. I would 100% reread this series again!
I love Jason and Siena. I wish this series didn’t have to end !! I started this journey on Wattpad way back in 2017 and now I’ve had the pleasure of reading my friends published books. Amazing.
I will say it’s sad saying goodbye to the with me universe, but it was a really good book. Jason is such a mini Aiden, IT’S ADORABLE. It’s different to read this series because I already know Jason and Jackson from when they were nine years old, so it’s crazy to see them all grown up. I love the with me universe because it gives amazing high school romance vibes. Jessica Cunsolo’s books are very feel-good young-love books. It’s not the heavy, emotional love, which is also nice to read at times, but it’s very light and happy. I feel like we could have gotten SO MUCH more of Jason and Siena though. I also would have loved more cameos, specifically of Aiden and Thea. Nothing will top the original books because they had a friend group tied in with romance and drama, but this one comes in pretty close second. I hope Jason and Siena have a long journey ahead of them and everything goes great for them. Lastly, one thing that really annoyed me was how Gia acted. I get that she was a little kid but she acted SO UNGRATEFUL for Siena when Siena was the one that always had to take responsibility for her, as Gia couldn’t do anything for herself. On top of that, she had the audacity to be mean to her. I don’t think the sister bond between them was that strong. It just kept making me angry. On the other hand, Jason and Jackson were everything. They were the cutest duo I could have asked for, and their gratefulness and admiration towards THEIR older brother really showed.
I absolutely adore Jessica Cunsolo’s writing style and love her as an author. This series is one of my all-time favorites! That being said, Belong with Me was my least favorite book in the series.
I really enjoyed how the story kept us engaged with a particular suspect seeming guilty throughout, which caused plot twist to shake things up. That was definitely a highlight! However, I felt like certain elements of the story were rushed and needed more development. Some moments in the story felt too quick and unresolved.
I would have loved to see more of the older characters built into the story. Also, I really wished the book had focused more on Jason and his twin brother. Sienna and Gia’s storyline took up too much space when there was so much potential to dive deeper into Jason’s dynamic with his family.
And then there’s the ending, it felt like there should have been more closure or a stronger resolution, which made the book feel somewhat incomplete.
Overall, while this wasn’t my favorite installment, I still enjoyed being back in this world. I’ll always love Jessica Cunsolo’s writing and look forward to what she does next!
Overall, I enjoyed my time reading the latest & final book of the With Me series. This fast paced, plot filled story had me entertained with every page. The romance was there and felt authentic between our lovely Siena and Jason, and I adored every moment they had together.
I agree with some other reviews, however, that the ending left much to be desired. I think it has its strengths and I do like how Cunsolo finished the book, but it felt like a safe way to conclude such an impactful, emotional, and at times outrageous series.
Let me start with Brandon: for being the main suspect the whole book, doing various illegal activities, and overall being borderline psychotic, for him to face no criminal charges and only face the wrath of his mother felt…odd. We don’t know his mom. We don’t know if she’ll only give him a slap on the wrist. He should have faced his consequences in a larger way. (I still enjoyed his final scene and thought it capitalized on the growth of Gia for how she reacted. That was very well written!)
That being said, I genuinely enjoyed the plot twist that he was never actually involved and the secret he wanted to keep was that he was using. Cunsolo really did a good job sprinkling in clues throughout the book that made that twist very believable, and I was impressed with it.
The romance. It was there, it was beautiful, it was authentic, it was emotional, etc etc etc. Even still, I wanted to see more. Some scenes felt glossed over between them where I really wanted to see Jason’s reaction or see how Siena handled the aftermath. He is so good throughout the story of calming Siena down and helping her solve the constant problems she finds herself wound up in. However, I did feel myself getting very frustrated with Siena for not returning many of the favors Jason did for her. I know there weren’t many opportunities, but I think at least one scene where she stepped up and protected or defended him during a situation and improved HIS outcome really could have balanced them out. She did do this to an extent with refusing to let Jason get expelled for her, but I think Cunsolo could have gone a little more in depth with that.
The iconic With Me OG’s. I very much enjoyed the scene with Noah coming to their rescue, but it made me want more. I wanted at least one scene with Thea and Aiden (or one or the other), especially considering how much Jason looks up to the two of them. Having Siena meet the person that Jason so adoringly compares her sibling relationship to would really have felt full circle to me. A moment between Siena and Aiden (or Siena and Thea) where one of them could give Siena advice or just be a listening ear or something would have been the icing on the cake! Or maybe I just wanted to see my favorite With Me couple back in action :)
Despite its few shortcomings, this was a fantastic ending to such an incredible series. I see many, many re-reads in my future of the whole With Me series.
Thank you for taking the time and dedication to give us 5 beautiful books!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
3.4 rounded down to 3/5.
"Belong with Me" by Jessica Cunsolo is a captivating sequel that brings readers back into the enthralling world of With Me. The story revolves around Siena Amato, who relocates to King City with the simple goal of caring for her sister, reconnecting with her absent father, and maintaining a low profile. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes the prime suspect in a classmate's disappearance, and her world collides with that of Jason Parker, a charming yet trouble-prone figure.
The plot is skillfully woven, providing a compelling narrative filled with unexpected twists and turns. Cunsolo masterfully unfolds the story, keeping readers engaged with well-paced revelations. The author's writing style draws readers in, creating an immersive experience that makes it difficult to put the book down.
Siena Amato emerges as a protagonist worth rooting for. Her struggle to prove her innocence and navigate the drama surrounding her life adds depth to the narrative. The character of Jason Parker, with his charm and kindness, serves as a supportive and reassuring presence for Siena, adding a sweet touch to the storyline.
One notable aspect is the redemption arc for the character Gia, which is well-executed and adds complexity to the relationships in the story. The author successfully weaves in character development, making the readers emotionally invested in the fates of the characters.
However, the ending leaves something to be desired. It felt somewhat flat, and the potential for a more impactful conclusion wasn't fully realized. The story hinted at deeper connections and parallels with Siena's parents, but more exploration of this backstory would have added depth to the narrative.
Additionally, as a spin-off series, "Belong with Me" could have benefited from more references to characters from the main series. The absence of mentions may leave readers who are familiar with the primary series wanting more continuity and connection between the two storylines.
In conclusion, "Belong with Me" offers a rollercoaster of emotions with its well-crafted plot and engaging characters. Despite the somewhat disappointing ending and missed opportunities for deeper exploration, the book stands out as an enjoyable read for fans of romance and mystery. Jessica Cunsolo's ability to create relatable characters and a gripping storyline showcases her talent as a storyteller, making "Belong with Me" a worthy addition to the With Me series.
Let me just say this was an absolutely amazing series!! Between the characters in the first 3 books and then Aiden’s brothers plus some more new characters, the plots were so interesting and I found myself wanting more and more after each book!! It has been a pleasure getting to read this series and be immersed in King City!!
Jason freaking Parker… let me tell you… if you do not end up madly in love with this man by the end of the book then you have some SERIOUS problems!! Jess really knows how to write a book man!! Literally shed tears at some points!! I am so unwell in the best way possible!! 😂😂
I was genuinely shocked and ever so slightly disappointed with the whole Lily situation and how it played out!! I don’t wanna spoil anything, but it’s definitely NOT what I was expecting!! There was one point right before you find out what happens that had me SOOO SHOOK and on the edge of my seat though… it was definitely giving suspense!! 😂😂
I love the family aspect that was in this book!! I think it shows how important having people who love and care about you is to your mental and physical well being!! It made me so happy to see moments where Siena felt loved and felt she belonged after so many people criticizing her throughout these 2 books!!
In all, I’m sad to see this series come to an end!! I definitely and 100% recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mix of slight thriller, drama, and romance!!
I loved the With Me installments but I feel like this one didn’t hit the spot. I’ll start off by saying that I really liked Siena and Jason together. I thought the plot twist at the end was good and was not expecting it. Some of my remarks is that at times I felt that there was too much going on. Siena had to deal with so much shit from other people: Dario, officer Liu, Gia, and Brandon. It sometimes felt so suffocating with how many problems Siena had to deal with (this shows that the author is a really good writer). I would’ve loved to see Siena have a better relationship with her friends and be ride or die like in the original With Me books.
I also realize that the message at the end is that people will always talk so don’t pay attention to them, however I felt that Siena needed more justice for everything that happened to her. I wanted to see real consequences for Officer Liu other than just a slap in the wrist. He literally ruined her reputation and future when it is strongly suggested that he sent the LA case picture to Brandon. That breaks so many laws and he needed to be sued for that. I also wanted Siena to press charges on Brandon, he made her life a living hell by blackmailing her and then he accidentally tells on himself by accident (that scene was so funny and ironic at the same time)
In conclusion, I felt enraged for Siena during the whole book and I thing she deserved more justice at the end. I am aware that that is not how the real world works but I just needed everyone to get sued and for her to get a scholarship and go to college.

I absolutely love every book in this series and will recommend it to literally anyone. Like genuinely such a great story that really had me truly stumped until the end. It was such a fun read and I would definitely have gotten this book finished in one sitting if I didn't have to go to my job or whatever.
There are some things that bothered me about the actual characters that has no reflection on the writing or how I feel about the book, just thoughts I want to share. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Siena's unfailing ability to always see Gia as a delicate little flower that can't face the consequences of her own actions. There were so many situations that could have been avoided if Siena just didn't take the fall for Gia every time she did anything even slightly wrong.
The fact that this series is over breaks my heart because I absolutely adored all of the characters from Aiden all the way to Gia and beyond. I love how Jess wrote each love story and intertwined it in the King City atmosphere. Seeing the characters from She’s With Me and the other books pop up during the Jason and Siena’s story was awesome. I love that this book picked up right where book 4 left off and appreciated that all the questions we were left with eventually got answered. I thought the ending was a little rushed but boy am I sad to say goodbye to these characters! I especially loved Zia Stella and Natalie in this one 💙. The themes of found family are beautiful!
This is the last book in the With Me series, and what a ride! This entire series was utter chaos, and I was there for it. The police in these books is a bunch of incompetents... however, if they weren't, I feel like this entire series wouldn't have been even 2 books long 😂 Everything is neatly wrapped up, although I did feel like the ending was a but rushed. I was almost at the end, thinking it would end on a cliff-hanger like the others, because there was no way the author had time to resolve everything, and yet, she did. But I loved how it ends!
So I started with the 4th book and then went to this book (have not read Aidan’s story yet) I read both in one sitting. Such an easy read, great storyline and the plot twist at the end went entirely the opposite way of what I was actually thinking. Siena and Jason are the cutest couple and Jason is 🥵🥵 his love and concern for Siena is endgame! Loved this series and now I’m excited to read books 1-3.

Clearly took me a while to get through however I really liked the way it a rounded out at the end. It was a tad anticlimactic but it was nice to have the main character not be right and that kinda showed her age of jumping to conclusions Thea would be proud I also like how the side effects of steroids was shown (aggression) but I don’t know if that was intentional or not as it wasn’t explicitly stated Overall am a fan and was a nice way to end a series that I love xx

There aren’t words to describe how much this series means to me. I found the first book when it was still being written on Wattpad with weekly updates when I was just 14. 7 years later, I have now finished book 5 in the series holding the physical copy in my hands. This series has made me cry, laugh, scream, and giggle while kicking my feet. There is no other book series that is as perfect!!
This book was everything I wanted it to be and more! I loved the character develop that was explored in this book, and seeing the progression of the character. But I have to say, I especially loved seeing the cute moments between Siena and Jason. I mean, I though Aiden was good, clearly it runs in the family! 5 star read easily. Loved this book, loved this series
Yes it’s 4:00 but that’s ok. The ending became clear to me after a few chapters but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Maybe it’s because I’m pretty but I wished some karma had been distributed because some of these characters deserved it. Hopefully it’s not the end because there’s so much more that could be explored.

I struggled with this one. The whole book is Brandon wanting his phone back, and Siena bailing out her sister, which makes one bad decision after another. This one didn't captivate me like the first three books in the series. I really loved Jason but felt it would have been better having his pov. Unfortunately, this one could have been left and concluded in the last book.
