2012's daily reading source. It was chosen because it is a new ecumenically led translation that endeavors to be both scholarly and approachable. I had professors involved in the process. It offers a unique reading plan for the year: Mon--Law; Tuesday--History; Wednesday--Psalms; Thursday--Prophets; etc, which I think I can get into for variety sake, which is especially helpful in less enjoyable books (Joshua) and redundant sections (prophets). It also has a devotional section. And, a yearly reading that is representative rather than exhaustive.
