2nd time reading The Odyssey. First time with this translation. It was a concise translation and great for academic. I prefer the Lombardo myself.
This is especially enjoyable when listening to Sir. Ian Mckellan on the audiobook.

Stranger and more exciting than I remembered it. Also, oddly, more of a family drama as well than I'd suspected. Masterful storytelling, of course, and the verse translation reads fluidly and elegantly. Now I'll shut up because whoever Homer was, was a genius whose work has lasted 2500 years or so and you should be reading him rather than me.
