Bound is a continuation of the paranormal adventures of Devin and Tia from The Devil’s Tree. Set primarily in New Orleans, Tia, and Devin, now a mated couple, join forces with two female bounty hunters. Rogue forces threaten to destroy the harmony between humans and the cities supernatural inhabitants and jeopardize Devin’s home pack in Baton Rouge. Failure to succeed is not an option.
I am a native Floridian who is temporarily (I hope) displaced in Memphis, TN. for work purposes, however I hope to make it home to a partner of 17 years and our family as quickly as I can. I enjoy photography as a hobby along with spinning a good tale.
I am American by birth and Southern by the Grace of God. LOL I enjoy writing about the south and creating characters and events that I hope my readers enjoy as much as I have in creating them.
I was immediately immersed in the story and my anxiety grew with every page. I really enjoyed the interaction between the main characters and that they all played an active role in this story. The assignment turned four lives upside down when they have to go after a villainous fiend. A tight timetable running against them. They must fight for their lives. An unexpected and unlikely foursome, yet perfectly together. The story has a fair share of action, suspense, drama and romance. It was intriguing and entertaining. Very well written and the flow of the story was excellent. I loved it. The author totally hits the spot for this second book and she knows how to keep you interested. I hope that there will be a next installment very soon.
This was slightly better than the first book. I loved how Win and Alix came into Devin and Tia's life... even if it was trouble for all four of them. But much like the first book, it felt a tad stilted to me and the whole emphasis on food, which you know I love food, but we get it they're were's and they can eat heaps and are always hungry.
I loved seeing Tia's power grow and Lord Jordan isn't that much of a douche and actually appreciated the team for helping him with his problem. It just didn't make sense that he couldn't actively be involved in protecting his own territory and businesses. The Council seem like an unreasonable bunch.
Anyhow... I did like it, and I'll buy the third book if it comes out because I feel like the series can be really epic.

I loved, loved ,loved Bound by Ali Spooner. 1st she shows us the book cover. Outstanding. Covers matter people. Then the book came out. This is the sequel to Devils Tree. It is very unusual that a sequel is better than the original but this one is. The storyline is enhanced by the unusual characters, a wolf, a panther, a witch and a kick ass hunter. They are thrown together because of a Vampire that could destroy New Orleans and change life as they know it. They work together for the greater good and find family in each other. There is action, suspense, drama and a little bit of heat. Seriously, who doesn't love women who kick ass. Read the book people.
Devin, Tia, Alix, Win, Kaitlin, Luica, and all the other characters make this story work so well. I loved the pace of the story. I really loved the devil tree but this is right up there. Ali has created a awesome series and I can't wait to read more. I recommend this book.
This was a very good second book in the series. I like how the characters work together to problem solve and I like how it was left open for more books to follow!
