Tyff wasn’t looking for love. He almost flew over it. Tyff had always been a dedicated Preor warrior of the Third Fleet. His singular goal is to prove himself as a warrior and move up the chain of command. Yet he’s been overlooked time and again. Even more than advancement, he’s ached for a mate. Craved what he sees other Preor possess so effortlessly. But so far, the Knowing has remained absent—as has his mate. When he’s tasked with flying over some human resistance-occupied fields, he takes his work seriously—believing in the future of combining the human and Preor species. He simply cannot understand the violence of humans and how brutal they are to each other. It seems it only gets worse each day the Preor are present on planet Earth. Does Tyff even want a human mate considering they’re so selfish and reckless? His choice is taken from him when he flies too near to Renay. Happy with her life in a small country town as a librarian, she’s a simple girl with simple needs. Until Tyff gets close. Now all bets are off and both of these souls are raging infernos of need and Knowing untill they get their hands on each other. All that pent up desire is going to make them pop. Then Tyff will understand that even with great brutality and violence, humans are capable of something even stronger. Great love.
This book might be one of the most emotionally touching stories of the entire series. I love how this started out as a relationship missed and became a love for the ages. The authors filled the pages with belief in oneself and emotional growth for Tyff as an individual and the Preor as a whole. I enjoyed that they kept the action and intensity of the previous books, and that we were able to see how past couples are doing. This book really felt like a transition in the series from the original Preor to the new Earth Preor. I can only hope that there will be more books on the horizon for me to enjoy.
This one made me mad at a lot of people. First of all, Whelan should've known better and his mate should slap him. I was mad at Tyff too, but it was hard to be too mad at him because I understood that he was afraid.
Great story, and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next with the Preor.
I’d somehow missed this book and have already read Choler. I have to say I felt this has the worst Preor H ever. Not sure which author had the most input but I didn’t like it. This series is losing its innate brilliance that it started with. It just felt incorrect and implausible in how everything played out. I just found the way this circled continuously for half the book, with no moving forward between these two, a bit like quicksand. Tyff’s inability to accept, understand, or deal with what was happening, and the fact no one, including already mated Preor, could discern what was happening to Tyff, was overplayed. His dragon was also trying to tell him and I felt Tyff was too fixated on his job and to untrusting of his mate as she was human. We are eventually told he was blocking out the knowing. Poor Renay, no one believed her when she kept telling them she was going through the knowing. She was a positive person, maybe too positive and a bit Pollyanna in her thinking, especially her rainbow attitude in regards to terrorism and all the “they just need a good talking to,” was a strike too far for me. She deserved better than what she gets and she keeps smiling through all the doubts Tyff has but she ended up wishy washy. Her constant, the knowing knows what it is doing and it is meant to be, became laborious. Sorry, I really didn’t like Tyff, if fact I liked him less at the end. He was selfish and actually a coward. His whole demeanour is one of Preor honour and a distrust of humans. We are meant to believe he is something special but he was just another male who didn’t want his woman. Even Penelope, this supposed amazing AI that has thought for itself in previous books, doesn’t work it out. Too unbelievable an ending for me with what Renay was doing. She is a librarian, how does she end up second in command of the whole Preor fleet, inspecting them, reassigning them. And it all winds up so quickly. How did they find all the bombs and get ready for the ceremony in time? What happened to Luke?

Tyff has seen what the humans have done. The Resistance has not care for the innocent. This explosion should never have happened. The Preor were getting soft. The human woman were causing the loss of good warriors. Renay was all for meeting the Preor at the Choosing but the Resistance caused more damage than ever. She was thrown but also felt the Knowing. Where was her mate? Renay felt the bond but no one would believe her. But once things started falling into place, it was Tyff that was having the hardest time. Why was he not feeling the Knowing?
In the beginning I hurt for Renay. She felt him so fast but Tyff nothing. Then people doubting her. UGH! That drove me crazy. She was a strong woman and knew her mind. Tyff just had so much more to work through. His lack of trust with the humans, the bombing, the senseless violence, and the lack of leadership it all was a great deal. Renay’s patience and understand helped in through it. Not all mates are the same. But he now understands what all the other warriors felt. I love these stories. They always pull at the heart.
There's an attack at the Choosing by the human rebels. Relay is injured by an explosion as she and her friends try to escape the chaos. She awakens in the woods and feels her mate fly overhead and the Knowing begins. She doesn't understand why he doesn't come for her. She next awakens in the hospital but no one believes it's the Knowing. She sneaks away, makes her way to the Tower and Penelope helps her get to the ship where she meets Tyff, her mate. He feels love and a draw toward her but not the Knowing. They get to know one another and discover his fear of not being able to attend his duties and have a mate along with his distrust of humans after the devastation he saw is blocking the Knowing. Events occur and he finally opens his heart and the Knowing comes pouring in and she proves she can support him in his new role as War Master.
When I chose to read this book, I didn't realize it was the 14th in the series but it can be read as a standalone. I really didn't like this book at all or the writing style. It felt like the set up to another book and was quite weak in terms of story and romance. The decision to make the supposed fated bond not work properly as the tension in the book was a good choice, linking the FMC's inner turmoil to affect the bond created lots of material. Even the ending fell very flat and there wasn't a lot of well written smut either. I just don't think the material was well executed. I almost DNF'd this one, wouldn't recommend it and would be no means read it again.
Throughout the series as Preor fount their mates they all left their positions to care for mates and family. This was the first human mate to understand and agree with her mate that the military needed to remain strong to protect them all; and, that it was her responsibility to stand by her mate and help him do this. As female, and human, she gives a different insight to the warriors she interacts with. Thru the Knowing she was a great understanding of the situation, her mate and his people.
This story was boring and very not Celia Kyle. I have all of the pre-order series and this one and the last one fell flat. I do not agree that the pre-order would abandon their duties they are to protective. And this hero and heroine did not have a chance to connect. They were going around in circles. All of them are suddenly unintelligent.👎 Book is Celia Kyle good.
This book turns the standard course, meet -have the Knowing begin - on its head. Relay is experiencing the Knowing but Turf does not. Not exactly. Getting these two together in the same place is one adventure, getting them fully mated is another. This story evolved the dynamic of human Preor relationships in ways that can be very exciting in the future. An exciting change
So unfortunately I didn’t know when I started reading this that I was jumping into the middle of a series. I kinda gathered that when all these couples the mc knew kept showing up. But anyway, I felt like this book became exhausting to read because it was just a constant back and forth between 2 mates who haven’t even met. One is too stubborn to accept the bond and another is delirious from the “sickness.” It was really drawn out and overdone. I was bored so I DNFd.
What an amazing job of storytelling!! Kyle and Hale bring these books to life and make each story unique. For a Preor warrior there is nothing more important than their mate but each one has their own struggles that they have to get through to be able to claim their mate!! Don't miss out on a single second of these awesome books!!
Things are changing. Finally a mate to accept and appreciate the Preor way of life. I kept thinking they can be both! But Renay and Tyff made it happen. Loved her gentle and kind personality. She never gave up on Tyff. He fought it hard to ultimately accepting a change and trusting himself and Renay. In
This was a great new look at this dragon tale, with knowing coming at will deeper and embedded harder on than the other. Celia has shown how your deep beliefs can effect your very emotions on a deep level where you can't recognize where your prejudices may be form whereby you may not be aware of. It takes love and courage to overcome them. Great read.
I loved this series. This book seems like it was written by someone else. Half the time is spent in Tyff's head in some 'woe is me' drama and the other half is spent with Renay, his mate's understanding that he'll come around soon and she'll be there to serve him in any way he wants. It's just an awful installment in what used to be an excellent series.
This iteration of dragon shifters is encompassing from the Preor perspective and they aren't conquerors. Typical human fanatical extremists blindly destroying and killing are the background of this romance.
I liked that the human mate understood the importance of military readiness and took part. That is different than the other books, where they were totally afraid and pulled the Preor from focusing on their jobs and more into the human way of doing. This is was a nice change.
I absolutely loved reading this new instalment of The Dragons of Preor. If you enjoy reading futuristic sci-fi shape shifter romance then you will love it. I hope to read more in this series.
This book in the series has the dragon and mate having real problems getting together. Also big changes for the previous dragon masters. This was an interesting change showing problems that were starting to come about in previous books. Really enjoyed.
I have loved reading this series and this book was awesome! I love the characters and how hard they worked to be together. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Interesting storyline 🤔 Not sure about Tyff but love his new mate! And the direction these last 2 books are going in between the Preor and humans, realizing that things are changing to the point of switching to new leadership 👏 👍 Can't wait to read more...
I after reading previous sci-fi alien Romans I felt that this was a bit flat in some places the build up to the sex scene wasn't all that ,I felt the author's could have packed a bit more punch with this one .
Couldn't put it down loved the series and can't wait to read more loved the characters and the storylines so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book/series to everyone
I have enjoyed every book in this long series and was impressed with this latest book because I through book 13th was the last I will keep watching for more.
