Every year the werewolves that protect the humans are given the virgins of the village as an offering. This year is Lorelai's year, a winter born human to give herself to one of the three Alpha's. A single night is all she's allowed but what if that isn't enough? And what if one Alpha isn't enough?
A book for brain dead people. I can't trust goodread reviews anymore. Just a book abt a girl who loses her virginity to 3 guys after they slept with 10 girls before her in same night 🤮 and she falls in love with them. I regret every minute I spent on this book.
Galatea book published as three books each with like 40 chapters or as one giant read. I am seriously not loving the platform but I do appreciate that authors need more places to publish than just KU.
This book is the story of an 18 year old girl who becomes the mate to three alpha werewolves. The entire story starts with her and 10 or 20 other virgin 18 year old girls going to the castle (?) for the annual ceremonial deflowering by all three of the alpha werewolves. That’s right, every girl has to lose her virginity to not one but three strange men on the same night. Good times! And that means if you go last, your partners have already f$cked 20 other girls first. But of course Lorelai, our heroine, is special and she gets extra special f$cking. In this world, the price for safety is that all women get deflowered by the alphas. So your sister, your cousin, your bff, maybe even your mom all probably humped the same alphas. Then misogyny, misogyny, and more misogyny men being terrible to women except the alphas who have Magic dicks and are the kind of warewolves who share and take special care of their superpower child girlfriend.
Lorelai, it turns out does have special powers, at least one of them being able to bang three guys at the same time multiple times a day and never gets sore or tired.
The book is about 70% sex and 30% story. I personally prefer my smut sandwiched between story, not story sandwiched between smut. But that’s a me problem.
The characters do fall in lust then lurve and the three alphas do get more vetted in the second book where you get each guy’s perspective. The story was interesting but also a little hard to track because of all the frigging.
The book reads like a first draft. And the overuse of the word smirk had me losing my mind. Either this author doesn’t know what a smirk is or there was a mistake with search and replace for a lot of other facial expressions. One chapter had smirk like 40 times. (I probably exaggerate but it seemed like it was in every sentence). Madam author: smirk and smile are not the same expression nor do they convey the same emotion.
All that being said, it’s actually a kind of interesting story and the world the author built is a very different version of humans vs warewolves, vampires and witches. That actually kept me reading. I wish she’d remove 80% of the sex and develop the story and the world and the characters because it was fascinating. It’s like. 120 chapter outline of a good book. And to the author’s credit, she managed to stuff at least 1-2 sex scenes per chapter for like 120 chapters! I just skimmed most of the sex and tried to find the bits of story that were squeezed between the sheets, I mean the pages and pages of threesomes. Idk I think this book is just too much porn for me and not enough story. But if you want a lot of young girl with three hot guys banging then this book is for you.
Honestly if this was edited down by a real editor into a single book, I would be into it. I think there’s a lot of creativity in this book.
The banging itself was fairly traditional, for a fourway. Multi-partner cis-normal hetero sex only. No sword crossing
I AM OBSESSED. I cannot say enough good things about this book. It has everything you could want; badass heroine, sexy alpha men who adore her immediately, and soooooo much passion, romance and sexy time. This is one of the more explicit and sex oriented books I have read and I literally can't get enough. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting on book 3. This is so deliciously written and all the characters a *chef's kiss* 💋🥵🌶️❤️🔥
I loved this book! It's so steamy and hot. I couldn't put it down. I loved seeing them fall for each other. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Definitely gonna be on my list when it does!
I’m glad I kept going. I was worried this was just spice with no plot. And it has a lot of spice. I mean… yay! But I like my spice with story. Again, I’m glad I kept going. The story got exponentially better, after the midway point, and there’s spice every damn chapter. Excessive, a lil, for me! But I’m intrigued with where the ‘story’ is going. I bought this as a 4 pack, I guess I’m obligated to read the other three.
I mean, this isn’t a book with much depth. I was laughing at parts that aren’t supposed to be funny. But at the same time, I couldn’t put it down so, 3 stars for that.
How does Lorelai - aka Lori - not fight for a better life for the humans? In the beginning she’s complaining how all the wolves get the best crops, the best meat and the humans are left with the worst in return for safety. And virgins are chosen to be fucked by the alphas, also in return for safety. Safety from what, you ask? Well it’s never actually mentioned. This “danger” alludes to the vampires but they never actually cause any problems, so why are the humans giving payment? I’d demand a goddamn refund.
Lucas should’ve died, even if he was under Elias’ influence. He killed the humans. Why tf did Lori decide it was okay to take that decision away from them? She’s selfish, naive and so ridiculously shallow.
Lorelai is so up herself, I actually wanted Elias to win. How can they treat the humans like shit, rape the girls (none of them actually want to go, no matter how “good” they claim it feels) and eat leftovers from their own farms? And Lori doesn’t care. Every page she’s getting dicked down, and falling in love with the Alphas. The one time she asks why they fuck the virgins, she does so out of jealousy. Woman, these girls are given as payment for some unknown ( and quite possibly, fake ) threat. And nope she doesn’t get an answer to that question cos her shadows are apparently concerning. Yeah sure her shadows weren’t a problem when you were busy spilling all your other secrets.
To quote one of the mildly concerning paragraphs:
”Sure they had taken my virginity for some blood moon ritual, but technically I had given it. We all had”
Uh huh, sure Lori, maybe you did but are we forgetting how the wolves literally killed one of the girls for not being a virgin? If I had to choose between giving up my virginity and death I sure as fuck wouldn’t see that as anything other than coercion. None of the other girls wanted to give their virginity. Most of them were crying on the carriage ride over.
Spoiler alert Her dad ends up taking her prisoner whilst she’s pregnant and tbh I don’t really blame him. He wants a better life for the humans, which Lori should’ve been fighting for herself. Maybe this way the alphas will change the way they treat humans. For all her talk of wanting to speak to the wolves about changing shit instead of fighting them she sure has left it way too late.
TL;DR: it’s not worth it. Unbelievably slow pacing, nothing but smut on every page.
Just finished the third book in the series. Only to see a fourth one comes out next month. Jen cooper, these are amazing but 40+ chapters per book and one on Goodreads means my book score is off here.
That’s super true with a lot I read on Galatea. But saying…
Kai is my favorite lil psycho (luna’s words not mine) and I appreciated the epilogue to continue the secrets of the gold dust and the unforgotten character.
Brax’s brooding was more written about then written on.
And it got repetitive how often she’d relay how much she didn’t feel her human upbringing provided her any safety feeling.
Silas’ ending felt anti-climatic. Her brother’s betrayal felt insincere, he had convinced me and all… I just didn’t get or see where his hatred came from.
Like I get it - like father like son, but still it was like, no I hate those pups after pretending to dote on them.
His ending was as brief as his story development.
I’m team Galen all day. And I can’t wait for more from our witch and beast turned human story to unfold. They felt like forgotten characters for an ending where they had so much MPC energy to become NPC’s once human.

I enjoyed this. Definitely a very different story-in a good way. Lorelai Valerian is a badass! I love the alphas. All three of them. And I loved how much they adored Lorelai. Note: LOTS of smut throughout. 🌶️ Tabitha…seemed shady, I was never sure. Cain, I think he really tried his best to be what the pack needed. But then with who his mate and his mother were…Lorelai’s mom ended up being more than I thought she’d be. Lorelai’s dad- that was a surprise. Damn. The whole thing with Lorelai’s twin Lucas exhausted me. First it was Elias. Then Silas was involved. (Bad news) This book ended on a MAJOR cliffhanger which is annoying. Hopefully the author will continue the story. I mean we’re literally on the edge of a cliff… 3.75
You gotta give it to her… writing a book more smut than plot mustn’t be easy That will teach me to read books I get as ads on Facebook It was however somehow entertaining
Started reading this on Galatea because my kindle was spazzing & I have to read to calm my brain for sleep. Anyways, I frikkin fell in love. Way more sex than I was expecting & at first I was wondering if the plot would be any good because of it. But the characters are great, well described & thought out & the story has plenty of twists & questions you desperately want to get the answers to. I’m so very excited to find out what happens in book 2. The cliffhanger this book end on had me irritated though, thankfully the next book in the series is already out or I may have went a little crazy with the suspense.
I deserved to be judged for reading this and I respect that, this was advertised to me using sleep token and I thought it was SO funny that music had been licenced for a smutty book app that surely it wouldn't be a bad read. I was wrong.
An 18 year old virgin is handed off to be railed by three dudes (of which we never learn the ages, yikes) after every other virgin from their three villages is railed by them, as per tradition, but she's DIFFERENT!!!!
smut for the sake of smut, it actually could have been an interesting story w the Winterborn part of the storyline but, no, it was just a classic cringeworthy bit of smut
Personally, i like a lot of storyline to go with my smut not vice versa. This was about 70% 🌶 and 30% plot. What little there was of the story is probably what kept me going and finishing the book. The storyline is a new take on the humans, werewolf, vampire, witches relationship and could've been developed more but the smut was distracting. I mean how many times can a human get "Owned" repeatedly by her Alphas in every chapter, sometimes twice without getting tired or sore!
It seemed like all the characters just smirked, all the time. Also, how do people living in villages know who the Brady's are or how vanilla smoothies taste like? Way to pull the reader back to reality and out of the fantasy world you're trying to build. With that said, I loved how devoted the Alphas were to our FMC, that's how you do a good reverse harem.
Overall, some good editing and cut down on the spice and this book has great potential.
😭 So much for books from Galatea. I got hooked by an ad I saw, and since I had nothing better to do, I thought, hey, why not? I downloaded it… and read the whole thing in just under 5 hours.
The story follows a girl named Lori, who lives in a human village where, on every red moon, a virgin is offered to the alphas for protection. She’s a winterborn - which apparently is the fantasy equivalent of murdering someone’s grandma, given how much hate this girl gets. Lori’s convinced she won’t be chosen by the alphas or picked by a man at the next day’s village marriage ceremony.
Well… knock knock. She does get chosen by the alphas and ends up in their personal carriage. Fast forward: Alpha Nikolai and Lori have 🌶️ time, and she begs him to touch her and kiss her because she’s “not good with pain.” He breaks some sacred alpha rule by doing so and so do the other two alphas. When she’s returned to the village, she’s covered in bruises, bite marks, hickeys, you name it. Her dad flips, writes a furious letter demanding compensation, and during the husband-picking ceremony, the three alphas show up and basically claim her as their lover.
The rest of the book is… a ridiculous amount of sex. Like, truly. I had to start skipping scenes because I couldn’t believe how she was still functioning. Mixed in with that is her training her “shadows” (because she’s a winterborn), and battling some ancient dead villain, which explains why winterborns are so hated in the first place.
To be fair, I do think the book had potential, even as someone who doesn’t usually read this genre but it ended up being so mediocre and repetitive that it ruined itself. That said, I still finished it, so maybe it wasn’t as bad as some reviews claim. It really just depends on your tolerance for cringe… and clearly, I’ve reached top-tier status. A round of applause for me, please. 👏

I had the opportunity to read this book on Galatea. I understand it's the first book in the series and ends in a cliffhanger. Book 2 is Claimed By the Alphas but I don't know when that book will be available.
This is the first book I have read from this author and I was impressed. The story is smartly written, flows wonderfully, and the characters are very well fleshed out. Lorelai who is a winter-born, is shunned by most of the people in her village. When she meets the three alphas from the wolf pack who protects the humans, they are intrigued by her. Derrick, Nikolai, and Brax take her in as their human lover but the pack is uneasy and wary of her. The alphas adoringly keep her loved and protected. Expect a lot of erotic steam to this story. Oh yeah, includes vampires and witches. The story is fascinating and will hold your attention to the end. It's pretty long and I just wished their story was told in complete, but having said that, I look forward to more of their story.
I ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!! This book is like an explosion and the aftershocks just keep on coming. It's so exciting and with so much action I couldn't read fast enough and my heart was pounding. The suspense is so intense I was actually feeling kinda nervous wondering what could possibly happen next. The Alphas Derik, Brax, and Kai sound SAF!! And let me tell you they totally rock Lorilei's world in more ways than one. The sex is set your crotch on fire Smokin Hot!! You can almost feel the love growing between them all coming off the pages. Everything Lorelei has to go through for them is nerve wracking but they're always right there to get her through. I had my suspicions about Lorilei's sickness might be and I was right but it's both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time and I loved every minute of it. The ending is a major cliffhanger and I can't freakin wait to get started. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE!
I stumbled upon this book and through an ad and it seemed intriguing so I decided to give it a try. Now I am not really a huge fan of reverse harems because most of the time the story focuses on the sex and the plot gets lost.
The overall story is pretty interesting but every time we start to learn something or something big happens there's another sex scene, I feel like just because it's a reverse harem doesn't mean we need to have a sex scene every chapter and if you're going to do that at least make it more interesting, literally all Lorelai talks about is her insatiable craving for the alphas and the mind blowing orgasms.
The author's writing could be better because there are some confusing parts in the way she writes it but I think if there was less sex and more story this could be a really good read. The basis of it is pretty interesting with the whole wolves/vampires/humans/witches saga. So I am reading book 2 to see how it goes.
If you like fantasy smut, this is for you. It’s basically one female and 3 males, but no male on male action. Naturally the girl is a virgin, but she’s special because she’s winter born. The set up of the human village is weird. Males are separated from females. All girls are offered to the werewolves at a certain age to give them their virginity to maintain some forcefield. But… Lorelai falls for them. And apparently they for her. Even through all this, there is some plot, although to be honest, Elias is defeated much too quickly. A lot of buildup for a small payoff. The more interesting story is the relationships and to a lesser extent the brother and the vampires. Naturally, Lorelai does the impossible, but at the end of this book, her father has kidnapped her… gotta read on to find out why.
Lorelei is a human who is claimed by 3 Alpha’s who provide protection to the humans. She is also a winter born with shadows. Kai one of the alpha’s has a connection with her that he can’t ignore. The other two alphas are also intrigued with her.
Lorelei returns to her village with scratches and bruises. Her father is not happy about this, she is to be chosen as a wife. Upon lodging his complaint, Lorelei is taken back by the alphas. They are determined to keep her and she feels safe with them.
Something is brewing that will change everything as Lorelei and the others have not imagined. There is much to unravel in this story. The pack, the vampires and the witches, so much hidden truths and power is sought after.
I loved this book!!!! I liked that it wasn’t just sex, sex…ooh look at the handsome werewolves as usual, but an actual storyline that was quite interesting. I love that Lorelai had things about her that made her unique, as opposed to the average human. The different story lines also did not take away from the story, but added to it. I love how each Alpha loved her in their own way and how she loved them each individually, but also together. Having her twin brother and how he dealt with his shadows, but also linking it into hers and Elias was a nice twist. The vampires were able to get their winter born, the wolves had theirs and everyone was happy, or were they?! I was shockingly surprised at how well this was written for a Galatea book.

This book had the potential to be brilliant, but it fell short. Despite the fact it was explicit in places, overall, it felt very juvenile. It was like reading a first draft where someone has included all of their ideas but not really developed any of them. One aspect that drove me completely insane was the overuse of the word "smirked." It felt like every single page, "he smirked,"he said, smirking. " "she hid her smirk. " THERE ARE OTHER WORDS YOU CAN USE. And i absolutely hate myself because i probably would read the next book. I won't go out of my way to find it, but if i happen upon it, i would probably read it.
I am smirking as I write this review. If I read the word smirk one more time I’m going to strangle somebody. I never read Shades of Gray but O have a feeling it would be this bad. I saw an ad for this book on facebook and thought it would be a different interesting read. I bought tokens and everything to keep reading chapters. I got to the end if the choosing where the 3 alphas come to claim lori. I cannot take one more chapter. I actually deleted the app that this book is on even have coins left to keep reading. I have no desire to check out any other books on this app. I feel like they probably are all as bad as this.
Rounding up to 4 stars. I’m ashamed by how much I enjoyed this lol It’s definitely more smut than necessary, which blocked the plot from fully developing but what was there kept me engaged. Was it the most well written thing I’ve ever read? Definitely not. Was “smirk” and all versions of the word overused? Annoyingly so. Did I still enjoy myself enough to keep going in the series? Absolutely. Also totally saw the baby thing coming but did not see that I am apparently the only one curious about who the actual father is? Are we all just accepting that 3 different men apparently fertilized the same egg? Ok then. Also if Kai mates to anyone besides a turned Lorelai I’ll riot.

Ohhhh my GODDDDDDD. spiciest fucking book I’ve ever read and my LORD I WANT MORE😂😂😂😂. Usually if it’s just constant spice I actually do get bored, but with this book the plot is just so fucking good I couldn’t put it down. Seriously, 10/10, stunning writing, the characters are just perfect and I can’t wait for the 3rd book to be released. If you are looking for a sign to read this book, do it. The first and 2nd book are in one download on Galatea and I just can’t wait for there to be more 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I read this book on one of those ‘pay per chapter’ apps.
Ends on a cliffhanger, there are many sequels which is needed as a lot of the storyline is left open/ unanswered. The werewolf lore is different in this book, werewolves must have sex to survive (don’t need food) and there is sex in every chapter whether it helps the storyline or not. Humans are kept seperate and ruled by werewolves, vampire and witches exist. If you are born in winter you are cursed, every blood moon the 18yr old virgins must sleep with the three alphas (why? Not explained!) they choose a cursed winter born as their lover who is cursed with ‘shadows’. There is an evil shadow spirit that is trying to turn her evil to destroy the werewolf rule.
