This book is great for what it does: Shows you the perfume houses of the past (and some still going) with beautiful photos too.

I read this book slowly because I wanted to take the time to research almost every single perfume and get samples of what looked good.

The information about the houses, designers and even bottle designers is just enough.

This is a reference book that describes the ingredients and layers within the fragrances. It is a fascinating read and one I reference when select a perfume.
