Charles Phillips (b. 1962) is an established writer of popular history, a contributor to Cassell's Dictionary of Modern Britain as well as to the Chronicle of Britain and several illustrated stories.

He has a keen interest in the mythology and history of the great Maya and Aztec civilizations and was a key writer on Time Life's Myth and Mankind series.
Phillips is a graduate of Oxford University, and holds an MA from the University of Westminster.

I suddenly remembered that I actually play chess. I’m already used to improvising and solving problems, but I don’t really enjoy solving these kinds of puzzles. Maybe it’s because I don’t see much meaning in being able to solve them.

I’d also rather have a book that teaches me how to sharpen and develop my thinking than one that simply throws a bunch of puzzles at me and goes, “Here, solve these yourself.”

Who has time for that? :))))

sực nhớ ra mình có chơi cờ vua. đã quen với ứng biến và giải quyết vấn đề nhưng mình k thích kiểu giải mấy câu đố này, có lẽ vì k thấy ý nghĩa gì khi giải được

và cũng muốn một cuốn kiểu chỉ cách làm sao để mình rèn luyện và nâng cao tư duy hơn là đơn giản tập hợp một đống các câu đố này rồi bảo mình là mày tự giải đi. Ai rảnh :))))
