But this innovative scenebook gives younger performers the opportunity to portray characters their own age. From the classics to the finest in contemporary drama -- from Shakespeare, Shaw, and Chekov to Miller, Williams, and Kopit -- here are sparkling theatrical gems that are perfect for class or theater group study and performance. These older monologue and scene books are always so much better than the modern ones that feel young actors need created pieces to speak directly to them rather than looking at the plethora of plays already in existence.

Beautiful curation of classic scenes that young actors will recognize from the plays' literary and cinematic counterparts. Excellent start in exploring theatre as a separate medium.

A fair amount of different scenes. Good resource for monologues for younger actors.

Though a very thorough book it was thick and some of the scenes were boring. It was a tough book but very good if you like acting.
