Scooby and the gang go to Sandy Cove for a party. The talk around town is that there is a pirate's hidden treasure so Scooby and the gang are curious but as they soon discover a mystery involving a ghost

This book is perfect for 2nd and 3rd graders as they are learning to expand their reading skills.

This book is ideal for a classroom setting to help kids have a sense of adventure and imagination. It also helps kids learn to start building their morality in how they will start to think about good and bad guys.

While it may be a children's book, underestimating nice artwork, a simple but fun plot, some funny dialogue, and a recognizable charming cast of characters would be wrong.

It's a perfectly good book, as good as I remember from childhood, if not better. These books managed to retain all the fun of a typical Scooby-Doo episode, sometimes with new monsters, sometimes with old ones.

At the start of the book the gang are going to daphne's aunt maggie's hotel for frye fest. In the middle Shaggy and Scooby have to go diving to find some buried treasure to lure out Captain Frye. At the end of the book they capture Captain Frye and uncover who he truly is. I think this is a great book because of the characters, the story, and the mystery.

Not sure why they advertised this book as the sunken ship rather than as a pirate ghost that would have been more interesting. I'm also starting to notice these books seem to almost exclusively follow around shaggy and scooby and so a lot of the plot is stumbling into things and slapstick. The mystery element conducted by the others is simply implied and you dont hear much of anything about it.

“Scooby-Doo! and the Sunken Ship” by James Gelsey ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Mystery

There really wasn’t anything wrong with it. I just didn’t enjoy it at much as the other stories. It felt a bit anticlimactic.

Another cute Scooby story. The pictures are improving as the series progresses which is nice. The book was pretty good but the ended didn’t quite make sense as the reason why someone was the pirate contradicted the result that was actually happening. Overall though it was still a cute story.

Another Scooby-Doo story - pretty typical Scooby-Doo stuff. Our girls are really starting to enjoy reading chapter books. The books in the Scooby-Doo! Mysteries series and the Junie B. Jones series are their first introduction to this kind of story - more words, less pictures. So far it keeps both of their interests, although I only read a chapter or two each time so our three year old doesn't get too bored. They still prefer picture books with fewer words, but it's a definite step forward.

Our girls love Scooby-Doo so much that we're reading this one again and again. I'll have to find new Scooby books!

This is a chapter book not a small storybook. I have read many of the chapter books out loud to my special needs teenage son and I have to admit this is probably one of my favorite. You didn't figure out 'who did it' until almost the end (like most of them you figure it out on your own within the first few chapters. This one wasn't too scary either. Had just enough intrigue to keep your interest and wonder how the story was gonna end. AND it didn't make Shaggy and Scooby to be really dumb either like a lot of the books do. My son enjoyed it and stayed with me until the end, being autistic often times that's hard for him to do in a chapter book but this one he did enjoy and stay with it.

Scooby-Doo and the gang are excited about a beach party at Sandy Cove, but rumors of Captain Horace Frye's pirates treasure have the locals acting fishy. Will Scooby and the gang figure out who's Captain Horace Frye's ghost or will he scare the locals away? Find out in Scooby-Doo and the Sunken Ship.

The group is visiting Daphne's relatives at Sandy Cove beach, where a historical festival to celebrate the birthday of the famous Captain Frye, will take place. I loved it and I loved how Scooby acted underwater. I loved the word Zoinkglub.
