A really great, well-presented summary of some highlights of the US Civil Rights movement. In addition to the legends -- Malcolm X, Dr King, Rosa Parks -- this audiobook presented many, many unknown-to-me pieces of the movement.

I learned a great deal, and continue to shake in my boots at so much of it. It's not possible to get accustomed to these stories -- every one is poignant and haunting, and many are also inspiring.

High quality and engaging, highly recommended.

This was a really interesting compilation of interviews about the Civil Rights Movement. I learned about some new stories and people, and I really valued hearing the perspectives of the people who lived through the moments they talked about. It is truly hard to accept that these are truths of America and that it really wasn’t that long ago. My only wish is that there was more, especially of the people who were known in the community but are not widely known in history books.

Great historical snippets of civil rights actions way back into the 1800s. Produced in 2010. Now that it is 2017 I can't help but think what has happened in seven years regarding civil rights, equality, and justice. And how much yet is to be done.

Fascinating interviews and stories of leaders and events of the Civil Rights movement in the 1960's United States. I was amazed again at the passion and morality of these true heroes. I kept thinking throughout - would I have the strength of character, the willingness to do what is right regardless of the personal consequences?

Phenomenal. The history books only print what is "acceptable". To understand the truth, it is worthy to listen to somewhere that was there. A. Philip Randolph, Claudette Colvin all leaders in their own right yet everyone doesn't know their story...
