This book on Norway was to learn a little more about Scandanavia as my wife and I have been doing a lot of research in that area for genealogy. I learned a lot. One thing Norway separated from Sweden in the 1800's. Norway has many long narrow bays called fjords. This region has the northern lights. The Sami are a people that is very old and have their own language. They chase reindeer. 79% of the Noweigian people live in cities. Norway has won more medals in the Winter Olympics than any other country. Their unit of money is called the krone. Norway borders on Sweden, Finland, and even Russian in their far northern areas. A good book to learn the basics of the nature of Norway.

Very fun book about Norway and the traditions they have. There is a small part where you can see the difference between English and Norwegian which was fun for my son. He enjoyed learning about the Northern Lights and the food they eat. It is a fun and educational book about a really neat country.
