"Before my conversion, I knew so little about God and his word, that I could not even quote John 3:16, nor name the four gospels. In the Methodist church where I was converted and of which I became a member, I was not taught to expect to be baptized with the Holy Ghost as the first disciples were on the day of Pentecost, nor to expect the signs mentioned in Mark 16:17,18 to follow me as a believer in the Lord. I was taught to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, and was gloriously saved, and set free from condemnation for sin. Then as I searched the Scriptures, asking God to lead me to those readings from which I would receive the greatest benefit, the Lord began to reveal to me the truths of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the signs following, the gifts of the spirit, and the supernatural things of God." Asa A. Allen was a controversial evangelist with a Pentecostal healing and deliverance ministry. He was associated with the "Voice of Healing" movement founded by Gordon Lindsay. Allen became one of the first to develop a national television ministry. His television programs frequently included excerpts from his "healing line" ministry.

This book goes through 11 truths from the word of God, that the Lord revealed to AA Allen as the reason there was no power in his ministry. He reveals the heart of man for each verse. It is up to the individual reading to either be ignorant “that isn’t for me” or humble “Lord, is there anything lacking in me according to this verse? How can apply the truth of this verse to my life?”

Then there were “pet sins” the Lord also revealed to AA Allen that he must make right with God, and the reader is encouraged to seek the Lord for any “pet sins” in his own life that need repenting for.

This is a must read! Over and over again, until the truth of the word gets in. We can go through our lives, continuing in ignorance and without the POWER that God promised His children. OR, we can believe that God means EXACTLY what He says in His word!

The main message of the book “it is impossible to say YES to God until we have first said NO to the things of this world.”

paying the price is a lifelong pursuit!

This book provides answers many people need to hear regarding questions they have in their hearts. But just as the rich man was unwilling to accept the Lord’s answer to his question, Luke 18:22, so, many may not be willing to accept God’s answer to their own questions and apply them to their lives. We must determine to be among the few who are willing!

if you are serious about God, you must read this book. It speaks to your heart and your soul and your spirit. The author speaks the words of God, crying out for people who will believe Him. If you are serious about being used by God read this book and take it just as seriously as you do the Bible. Everything that the author presents is based on scripture and supported by the word of God.
