Angel Behind the Rocking Chair is not very theologically dense. There are several portions of it that I have doctrinal questions about. However, the overarching goal of the book seems to be that of finding blessings even through hardship. I confidently endorse this aim and echo many of the sentiments about parenting children with special needs.
