Still reeling from the nightmare excesses of CHIMERAWORLD #1? Relax a while and enjoy the ambient tones of sadness, depression, degradation and utter hopelessness of CHIMERAWORLD #2. Twenty three of the most mentally corrosive stories from twenty three of the most innovative authors ever assembled in one collection.
After reading the first, I felt compelled to read the second. This one was actually better in overall quality of each submission. The story that suprised me the most was Quentin Crisp's "Asking for It" mainly because it was more grounded in reality and had a real literary quality to it with a character I felt I could relate to during the more depressing times in my life. The other stories are more of what I expected, with lots of gruesome violence and supernatural horror.
5***** again - this was a difficult second antho, the first was all grand-guignol and then came this depressive downer. Thanks guys, you all deserve some sort of reward.
