Rhodes examines what has changed in British government over the past two decades, why so many government policies fail, and what the shift from government to governance means for the practice and study of British government.
This is a good read for post WWII Britain. Of course it does reflect only on the governance status before Brexit. Overall, I picked up this book to understand more about governance and it did a fair amount of basic explanation on which elements come to form a governance. Interesting perspective, but less recommended if you're looking for contemporary reads.
