Wow, what a heartbreaking, wonderful emotional experience this was!
Liv and Dax’s story is so real and relatable to what many go through. They have a meet cute where there are sparks immediately, but there are complications in their lives that make it that they may never get to see where it goes. They meet up at the beach where some decisions are made and some are made for them. One thing that can’t be denied is that they have something real. When tragedy strikes they may just lose any chance to see what may come.
Through lives ebbs and flows, they find each other again and this time Dax is determined to not let Liv get away again. The complications haven’t disappeared, just changed, but they realize they have something real and work very hard to make it work.
It might seem like they move fast in the new relationship, but it is perfect for them.
There is plenty of love and spice, but beautiful moments of friendship and changing relationships and personal growth for many. As well as it set things up nicely for the next book that I’m very much looking forward to reading.
Fantastic read that isn’t a typical romance story, but a lovely story love, friendship, self growth, grief and most of all - being ok with what life throws at you good and bad.

Liv was working in the ER when a she saw a very attractive man and he hurt his ankle. She learns his name is Dax and they have an instant attraction. Liv has an on and off again relationship with Brodie who is also her best friend. Brodie ends up cheating and it’s caught on camera. The next day Liv and Dax and their friends hang out and the connection between them is intense, and they kiss. There is an accident that night and Liv has has to make a decision. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book Liv goes through a lot and her character development is amazing Dax is a perfect blend of sweet and dominant Great supporting characters. This book has a lot of feels. This is a debut novel and I will be looking forward to see what she comes out with next.

Dax was not nearly as charming or as good of a guy as the author tried to make him out to be.
*light spoilers ahead*
Look I really could care less about a MMC's sexual history PRIOR to meeting the FMC, however if the MMC continues his promiscuity all the while claiming unfathomable attraction to the FMC I'd have serious doubts about the authenticity of the MMC's affections towards the FMC. Unfortunately that is exactly what happened with Dax and Liv. Up until the moment they were reunited again Dax was having a friends-with-benefits situation with a coworker he KNOWS has deep feelings for him. Even right before he unintentionally bumped into Liv at the club, he was about to sleep with a waitress at another bar. The only thing that stopped him? Liv's friend Emma saw what he was about to do with the waitress. And his Hail Mary pass to save himself? He blamed it on his friend who had a thing for Emma RIGHT IN FRONT OF EMMA. So not only does Dax not have a problem sleeping with other women while having deep feelings and pining for another woman, he has no problem throwing his friend under the bus if it means getting a shot at the said woman he's been sleeping around on.
I get it, he doesn't owe Liv anything considering how they parted, but at the very least the author did not have to detail his seggs-capades because it just takes away from the romance she was trying to build for Dax and Liv. Dax saying "You have no idea how long I've waited for this Liv" after finally having slept with her made him out to be bald-face liar because as evident with his fug buddy/coworker Tatiana and countless other women he's slept with after meeting Liv, he did not wait for her at all. His show of possessiveness afterwards wasn't in the least bit charming nor was it appropriate. Just like how he didn't owe Liv anything, he also had no moronic alpha claim to her, and yet he felt its his right to announce himself as her boyfriend to stake such a misplaced claim in front of her guy friend because he was "jealous."
All that being said, Liv didn't have to be that easy to get. She got away from infidelity only to get into a relationship that had the potential to be the same. The instalove was strong with this one as evident with the lack of chemistry and moral epithet when it came to the MMC. And as such with instalove romances, the progression after they reconnected was predictable and dull: "Love," unplanned baby carriage and then marriage. Or so the story goes...

Indescribably Amazing Read!
I lack the words to describe the emotional pull I have with this book. It is heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. As my heart grew and swelled for Liv, it broke for Brody. This book had me crying a lot. They were times I cried happy tears and at other times, I cried big, sloppy sad, oh so sad, tears. I want to say so much in this review but don’t want to give away the story. What I will say is that L. Renee Richards is an amazing author. I feel truly blessed that I have stumbled upon her work and from here on out, if she writes it - I will read it. This book has characters that you will love, truly love. The story is gripping and entertaining and the heat is perfect. Bravo!

Enjoyed this second chance romance! I enjoyed how Liv and Dax’s relationship grew and I love how loyal Liv was with Brodie even after everything they’ve been through. Lots of twists throughout the story and the end definitely made me emotional but there is a HEA! This was my first book by L. Renee Richard and looking forward to reading Emmas book!

This is such a great second chance romance between a nurse and her ER patient who just happens to be a hunky orthopedic surgeon. Twists and turns throughout the book with some heart break at the end so grab your tissues! I won’t give any spoilers but don’t worry, there is a HEA 💕.

Liv thought she had her whole life mapped out. She was going to finish one degree program, move to Houston, start her NP program and live with her long time boyfriend. Little did she know in the course of a weekend that things would change.
Dax, one chance meeting at a OR and I felt something for the nurse taking care of me. I don’t know what it was, but she was pulling me to think of things that I had never thought about.
The only problem is Brodie, can Liv get past that weekend.

This was such a cute read!!! I ate this book up I loved the possessiveness of the MMC but the FMC kinda irked my nerves a bit but then she grew on me. Definite representation of love at first sight.

I really enjoyed this book. Liv and Dax’s relationship was meant to be from their first meeting. This was cute, sweet, spicy, and sad. It was so sad that I was ugly crying at the end of the book and I still have tears in my eyes as I write this. Now I need to read Emma’s book and see what’s going on with her.

This book was not at all what I was expecting going into it.
It will literally feel like you are riding the waves with the ups and downs but 100% worth the ride!
I don't know how I'm going to put into words how good this book truly was.

This novel is a short and sweet read that is the perfect palette cleanser to get you through a reading slump or break the cycle of reading the same thing over and over again.
I would have loved to see more from the characters and delve a little deeper into the story beyond surface-level interactions, but as it stands, I still enjoyed the read.
R.L. Renne’s Waves of You is a HEA, it’s cute, and it hits the feel-good spots that a reader has from time to time. I can’t wait to see what else she has up her sleeve and what else is coming!

Tropes of this book include: pregnancy, insta-attraction, marriage, cheating, etc.
I am personally not a fan of the pregnancy trope and when marriage is thrown in after the pregnancy announcement in a book, I usually DNF and refuse to pick up the book again, BUT R.L. Utterly heart wrenching and emotion filling!
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone looking for a cute and quite a fast paced romance.
This story follows a nurse, who is still in her learning stages, and her journey with an excruciatingly hot doctor, who she met on the beach, hence the title. Consequently, it illustrates her getting over a previous lover, and the ending of something beautiful.. I won't say much more as I believe everyone who likes heart wrenching romances should read this as it was one of my best reads I've had in a few months.
Ultimately, at the end, it did cause me immense heartbreak and I feel like I might need compensation for as it just had no words to describe it. Furthermore, this repeating motif of the waves and sea hit very deep and seated itself inside me. I can't see myself forgetting about this book and couldn't put it down!
However, at some points it was jumping from one thing to another in their relationship every other page that it was almost like gaining whiplash. Although, it's like a love at first sight, and sometimes love happens like that and everything needs to be established quick, which is occasionally adorable!

Alright y’all grab your tissues and make sure you are somewhere you can cry because this story will rip your heart out till the very end but still give you that amazing HEA.
Liv is probably one of the most selfless people you will meet. She would do anything for the people she loves. That includes putting her relationships aside to help ease the guilt and burden of another. Dax was your typical playboy who just wants to focus on his career. That is until fate put Dax and Liv in the right spot at the wrong time.
After meeting and having that instinct connection, a freak accident tears them apart. After thinking they would never see each other again, they run into each other a year later and are able to get that second chance at being together. Just because fate seems to finally be on their side, they will still go through one of the hardest things anyone ever has to deal with in life.
Dax and Liv definitely have a whirlwind romance but they deserve everything life has given them. You will be cheering them on every step of the way.

The debut novel by L. Renee Richard includes a triangle relationship with a twist. It’s a rollercoaster ride of emotions, angst and a graphically detailed romance. But it lacked character development and depth.
Going in with only the book blurb to guide me, I was hoping for more than I found. It was hard for me to connect with any of the characters. I didn’t find any of them very appealing. Too much of the story is a rehash of facts and history we already know. And to top it off, the physical attributes of the two main characters are recited and repeated ad nauseam. I got it the first few times.
Overall, it seemed the author found herself in a rut and couldn’t get out. There was no real definition to the development of the new relationship -- except in the bedroom, bathroom, wherever a wall could be found, etc. A story padded with fluff, rehashing of past, too much repetition and only the barest of depth in the plotting. Plus, this book begged for a final line-by-line edit to correct far too many silly little overlooks.
Very disappointing.

Liv has a relationship with Brodie because it was convenient since they've been lifelong friends. It's been off and on for years, but they've always been exclusive. That is until she receives a video from her friends and then confronts Brodie about it.
In the midst of approaching Brodie, she meets Dax in the ER. They both instantly feel something strong pulling themselves together.
During spring break, Liv decides to finally talk to Brodie. Shortly after this a TERRIBLE accident happens and Liv carries around so much guilt.
Liv pushes Dax out of her life and focuses on being there for Brodie. That is until Dax shows back up into her life and they work on rekindling what they lost.
This story will pull on all of your heart strings and in so many directions! If you're looking for an amazing palette cleanser after reading so much dark romance, this is the book for you!

This was such a good read. This is a story about forgiveness and second chances. It has a few sad moments and one major heartbreaking moment. Please be advised you will need tissues when reading this story.
Liv and Dax get a second chance at being together after a major event happens in Liv's life which pulls them apart. Time has passed and they see each other in passing and finally decide to start fresh on a relationship. I loved the support I felt from Dax. I also loved the loyalty and compassion I felt from Liv. These two characters were written beautifully and we meant to be together from the first moment.

This book was written extremely well. I was immersed into this story. When I started reading I thought it was going to end a totally different way. The way it ended was a shock and a heartbreak all in one. The story follows a young nursing student who is still on her journey of learning and becoming a nurse. Liv is a hard working nurse that just so happens to be working an ER shift the same night that a very attractive Dax enters the ER with an Injured Ankle.
I absolutely loved this book. Both Liv and Dax have amazing chemistry and I think they are perfect together. Whilst this is the first L. Renee Richard book that i have read and it has easily become one of my favourite books I have read this year.
I was hooked from the start and I most definitely cried at the end of the book. One because of the ending but two because I had been so hooked with the story that I did not want the book to end.

I loved this book, it was written extremely well, I was so captured with this story, I couldn't put it down! The way it ended was a shock😱😱

What a sweet second chance romance. Every page I turned I thought a shoe would drop but it didn’t . This was one of the sweetest love stores I’ve read. Even though the ending breaks your heart she mends it with the sweetest prologue. I loved seeing dax and livs love story blossom their happy ending. I can’t wait to read about Emma next !

I absolutely adored reading this book. A perfect beach / vacation read.
Dax is such a swoon-worthy doctor & alpha male, but he’s also super secure considering the fact that he’s okay with Liv continuing to see her ex. Allll the green flags!! Also.. I totally pictured Dax as James Marsden. Don’t know why but I just did, and it felt perfect lol.
This was a Stuff your Kindle pick and I’m so glad I downloaded it. Can’t wait to read more of L Renee Richards books! Only thing is I get bothered easily by grammar mistakes / weird sentence structures… this book had a few. Regardless, it didn’t take away from the beautiful plot.

I love a good medical romance and this one was super spicy! Olivia is a nurse, and of course she fell for one of her patients who just happened to be a resident doctor. Dax is a super cute doctor and surfer. What more could a girl ask for??
This book had me In all of my emotions. All. Of. Them. 🥵🤤🥰😭😔😵💫🫣 poor Olivia broke my heart.
I hadn’t read anything by L. Rene, but I will definitely be checking out more! The writing style was amazing and it was such a fast paced, easy read. Absolutely loved it!!

This book is the story of Liv and Dax. They meet at the ER she is a nurse at during spring break (Dad hurt his ankle). They are attracted to each other from the beginning. Due to unforeseen circumstances, they part ways and do not see each other for a while. They must decide how to move forward after time apart.
This book is full of emotional ups and downs. I love the main characters and the plot of the story. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow once they are back together. This was a fast read for me. If you are looking for a second chance romance, I would highly recommend this one!

This is the first book I've read from this author but I can't wait to read Emma's story. This book hard so much love and pain and happiness that it sent me in a spin. But this book was so worth it. All readers get different thoughts after reading books. With this one for me, life will always guide you to where you need to be and the people you need along the way and that can lead to love or heartbreak in all it's forms and that this book. I loved this book at if there's one book you read this year make it this.

This was my debut novel, and I have many beautiful memories of writing it. It will always have a special place in my heart. With that being said, I have also learned a lot in the past year. This book has received another round of edits, and I did the formatting, so I hope that I did you proud. I loved reading this book. The roller coaster of emotions this book took me on was crazy. This book really got me in my feels. The characters were well written, and the storyline is captivating. I also love that it's set in Texas, but I'm kind of biased.

This book really has all the feels! I enjoyed this beautiful love story between Liv and Dax and Brodie so much. I thought the author did a fantastic job with the character development throughout the novel. It takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions with some twist and turns in the plot. I‘m already looking forward to her next novel! Read this book, you won’t be disappointed!
