That's it, no more S.J.D. Peterson ever again, I swear. I cannot take another "ten days later MC1 and MC2 had decided lots of important things that another author would have shown you, but I'm just going to summarize, because frankly I can't be arsed writing the actual story".

This third book in the "Whispering Pines Ranch" series starts with the dull embers of Ty's hurt, and builds to the full inferno of what happens when love becomes obsession. I was awed by the depth of the pain, only hinted at when we met Ty In "Quinn's Need". How the layers upon layers of hurt heaped on him left Ty on the precipice of doing something horrific.
And then we meet Blake, all solid and sure of himself. We think. And as he takes Ty in hand and soothes the flames of hate and hurt in him, we then get to see the broken man living behind the hero. And lose our hearts one more time to one of Ms. Peterson's sharply drawn and lovingly crafted men.
I'm not sure there are many writers in the genre out there right now who take such time and care in building their men from the ground up. Make them complete and fully realized, and force me react so honestly and so deeply to them. Quinn, Lorcan, Jesse, Ty, now Blake. I feel almost guilty feasting on the buffet of richly imagined men.
Almost, I say. But don't tell Ms. Peterson. Let it be our little secret and maybe we'll get Jesse's story...

Well, another winner from Jo Peterson in the Whispering Pines series, 4 stars
I admit I did have problems with this book, I didn't see Ty as a very likeable character I'm afraid, in fact I thought he had a few screws loose
well, may be not quite as bad as that smiley, but you get the idea....Quinn and Lorcan are together at last (sigh), and Ty's feeling a little left out of things. Revenge is on his mind, pure and simple. Why should he be the one left out of the mix....Quinn was his before bloody Lorcan came skulking back and ruined things
!! Ty starts leaving threatening messages and doing stupid things all over the ranch, all in an attempt to send Lorcan running again.....unfortunately for Ty, it kind of backfires on him (hah!), and makes Quinn and Lorcan a stronger couple than before, so much so that Quinn asks Lorcan to marry him (well, a ceremony, no real wedding...they can't do that in Oklahoma!!).Enter Blake Henderson, 'gay black sheep' son of old man Henderson (Quinn's old nemesis). He meets Ty at 'The Push', and can practically sense the waves of anger, betrayal and injustice permeating the air around Ty
. He's a very strict Dom, not cruel or sadistic, but strict and fair. They spend the night together, Blake trying to get Ty into a good 'head space' instead of the one he's currently in.Blake is a welcome character, who is a lot more suited to Ty. He 'gets' Ty and he recognizes why Ty latched onto Quinn even before Ty does. He helps Ty just when Ty needs it most and I think Ty helps Blake with his past quite a bit, too. Blake does have a tragic past
, and my heart broke a little when I realised that Ty could so easily go down that particular route too. When you finally get to learn about Ty's past, you realise why he seemed to latch onto Quinn like a heat seeking missile. All Ty needed was a little bit of kindness. He sincerely apologises to Quinn and (mostly) Lorcan for his past behaviour and explains why he was like he was.So yes, Ty redeemed himself in my opinion, and yes, Lorcan is still sugary sweet (ooh, my teeth!!), but this book ended on a positive note with the 'wedding'
, and hopefully a new and loving relationship
between Ty and Blake as I'm positive they can help each other heal.

Winner!! I really enjoyed this one, this was another book I could not put down till I reached the end. In fact, I stayed awake till midnight and my alarm goes off at 5:00 am. And while I had some issues with it (well with Ty actually), I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
It opens with Quinn and Lorcan together and happy (picture me smiling from ear to ear). But then that smile gets wiped right off my face by Ty. OMG the boy is angry! He is scary angry actually and I started to seriously dislike him. I wanted someone to throw a bag over him and drag him away! (I would say slap cuffs on him, but he would enjoy that too much). Ty is determined to get Quinn back and he is not leaving it to chance, he is going to get Quinn back damned the consequences. So in the dark scary recesses of his mind he makes a plan.
In my review of Quinn's Need I asked, no I pleaded that someone get Ty some therapy. Well, what do you know, someone listened! Now, he didn’t get the type of therapy I was thinking about (sitting on a couch and talking about his mother to someone who nods and says “how does that make you feel”). Still, he got the therapy he needed and came out a healthier person in the end.
So you wonder who is this amazing person who can reach my oh so broken Ty baby? Enters Blake Henderson, son of Quinn’s trouble making and all around evil next door neighbor. So what does a out of control, totally bent on revenge and anger sub need? Yep, you got it a totally in control “I call all the shots” Dom. Now I guess I should have seen this coming, but I didn’t. And as the story unfolded I could see exactly how perfect this was.
And speaking of Blake, he is not the only one with a bad “OMG I am going to cry again” past. I really liked this guy, he knows exactly how to rein in Ty’s anger and gives him an outlet and a way to find his happy place.
Now, that is all I am giving away of the story. Wrapping up my review i will say the sex and BDSM scenes were hot. The story definitely pulled at my heart strings. I definitely found myself swooning and smiling and crying my happy tears, (and some OMG poor Ty baby tears) as the story came to a conclusion.
Onto the next book in this series!! YAY!!

By far my favourite story out of the 3. I knew I loved Ty, and his story just made that love deeper.
Ty was so hurt and betrayed. His story broke my heart, and made it even harder for me to forgive Quinn. Blake has his own demons to over come and I was praying so hard for him and Ty to let each other in.
I really can't explain why I have such a dislike for Quinn and Lorcan, but everything they do or say just rubs me the wrong way.
This third book, for me, was by far the strongest emotionally. I'm not a fan of BDSM or the whole DOM/sub thing but somehow SJD Peterson made this work for me, and while I might not like or understand it, I could accept that Ty needed it.
Now I just want to know when I can read Jesse's story lol.

Loved every second of it, right up until the very end. I loved the way Ty and Blake helped each other break through their barriers. The development and progression of that relationship was fantastic. Blake was so good with Ty knowing when to push him and when to back off and just be there for him. Watching Ty recognize his anger, take ownership of it and move past it was heart-wrenching at times. Of course it was nice to see more of Quinn and Lorcan, because I love them and their relationship. The two pieces that I was hoping to see were: 1) an interaction between Jess and Lorcan- be it good or bad, and 2) a more final place for Ty and Blake's relationship. I was not at all disappointed in where it was at the end of the book and actually found it very genuine and realistic. To have the two of them completely committed at that point in the story, after knowing each other for such a short time and both of them having such obstacles to overcome, would have felt faked and rushed. However, more chapters to see more development would have been nice. But, I'm a "happily ever after" kind of gal and hope for that in most books I read!

If there's an equivalent for women's fiction with male heroes, this is it. In my humble opinion, this does not fall exactly into the romance category, as the ending is the beginning of an affair and not its end, while most of the story was about two people helping each other to heal rather than fall in love. I also felt that the chemistry between Blake and Ty was seriously lacking, but that may be just me. The fact that for the first half Lorcan and Quinn had more stage time than Ty didn't help either, as I find Lorcan to have the personality of an empty beer bottle.
On the other hand, it was very easy to read and never bored me at all; I cared for Ty from the previous book and wanted to see him well settled at last. Too bad the ending only hinted at it. It seems to me as if the book needed an epilogue to be complete. But all in all, I enjoyed reading the book, even if the romance part was tuned lower than I hoped.

Hmmmm....what to say about this latest addition of the Whispering Pines series?
I, again, loved Ty. There's something about him that I find so endearing and compelling. I really liked him and Blake together. I was so glad to see that there was a man who could attempt to help Ty through his issues and help him find his way. They are so sweet together. I am awed by how rich and full her characters are, and Blake is no exception. From the random son of the guy who burned Quinns barn/stable, to sensitive caretaker, Blake is a rich new addition to the line up of characters. I would love to see another book with just the two of them in it. In NY maybe?
While I did love the Ty and Blake side of the book, I hate the Lorcan and Quinn side. Whatever.
I don't what happened from book one to now, but I totally hate them. I guess the turn around for me was in the last book. I just think the way Quinn went about his relationship with Ty was just crap.
Ty has a lot of issues and a lot of baggage. Of course he's going to lash out. Yes, he does bad things, but honestly...they weren't that bad. Dead cat on the doorstep is so much worse than marker on the window of a car and a few pieces of paper.
I just felt that Quinn got off too light w what he did to Ty. And as a result it drove him to that very dark place. I just can't believe Quinn was that stupid not to see how much he hurt Ty. I mean..Come On! The man quit his job, moved to a new town, and was beginning a relationship w the man and then.....poof... dumped. Not to mention how bad a Dom he was to Ty. Hitting in anger? Not okay.
That and comparing Ty's anger to that of that John Wood? That was a bit much. I dunno...I just thought it was crappy. Plus, honestly the book is called Ty's Obsession....I wanted more of Ty. I didn't want more Lorcan/Quinn sex times. I didn't care. Ugh.
Anyway....I liked the book (even if it sounds like I didn't lol). You know the author has done her job when you, as the reader, become so passionate about the characters in a fictional world. Def worth the read.

In this third book in the Whispering Pines Ranch series, we find Ty completely filled and overwhelmed with rage, frustration and hurt at the fact that the man he loves, Quinn, has rekindled his relationship with Lorcan. Determined to show Quinn he's the better man, Ty sets out to make Lorcan doubt his feelings for Quinn and eventually cause them to split.
Ty's rage and obsession were unsettling and scary at some points. He just could not understand why Quinn, who made no qualms about his love for Lorcan in the last book, would choose someone else over him.
When Blake Henderson enters Ty's life, he immediately resists. He knows what's best for himself and Quinn and does not want this stranger telling him his business. As Ty's dark feelings grow stronger and seemingly take over his life, Blake finds a way, through their mutual need for the BDSM lifestyle, to help Ty shift his focus.
While reading this book, I was taken aback by Ty's unflinching need to inflict pain on Lorcan, the bane of his existence and the supposed reason for all of his problems. It was scary and disturbing, but definitely showed me the depth of Ty's obsession. I really liked Blake and felt his heartbreaking backstory was very necessary for Ty to come to grips with his feelings.
The feeling of hope and good things to come at the end of the book was a nice change from the darkness displayed throughout much of the book.

I think I am starting to see a pattern emerging here with these books. First of all there was Jess, then there was Ty and now I'm falling in love with Blake (and Eli)!
Ty is in an incredibly bad place when Blake reaches out to him and it's hard for him to even begin to reach back. His anger towards Lorcan is consuming him and he completely believes that Quinn would be better off with him. I can't help but feel that Quinn can shoulder a lot of the blame for this after the way he treated Ty when he got back together with Lorcan. Quinn was completely oblivious to the fact that Ty had a very different idea of where their relationship was going than he did. The resulting damage to Ty and his ability to trust was devastating. After his abusive relationship with Brian, Quinn is the first person that Ty has felt a connection with and when Quinn severs the connection so cruelly Ty is unable to cope.
Blake wants to help Ty with his jealousy and his anger and the reaseons why he wants to do this so badly are shocking. It was amazing to watch the transformation in Ty over the seven days he spends with Blake but my heart was sinking when we found out that Blake was intending to return to New York.
We are left with the tentative beginnings of a relationship between Ty and Blake and I hope that we get to see it develop in the next book.
One last thing, though, dropped casually into the story, the possibility that John has a tumour next to his spine. Jo, how could you do this to me? And more importantly how could you do this to Conner?!

Have to say I was a bit disappointed with Ty for the first half of this book. I really disliked the creepy stalkerish angry behavior, though I suppose that could have been the goal.
I was so happy to see Blake step in and take the initiative to help Ty deal with his issues, and he seemed to be the perfect man for the job. Their scenes together were fabulous, super hot and very satisfying. Unfortunately, there aren't enough of them. Blake has such a sad story and is dealing with issues from those as well.
I've also realized that I'm so over Lorcan and Quinn's story and am so very tired of their issues being told over and over and over again. I'm glad they finally got some closure and security to their relationship, but was not happy it seemed to take away page time from Ty and Blake. I really would have liked to have seen more of them hashing things out and more of where their relationship is going.
So, all in all, I enjoyed this better than the previous two. The d/s scenes are very well written. I loved seeing Blake come up with ways to keep Ty distracted without relying on the pain aspect. I hope we get to see more of them and how they're doing in future stories.

I've also realized that I'm so over Lorcan and Quinn's story and am so very tired of their issues being told over and over and over again. I'm glad they finally got some closure and security to their relationship, but was not happy it seemed to take away page time from Ty and Blake. I really would have liked to have seen more of them hashing things out and more of where their relationship is going.
So, all in all, I enjoyed this better than the previous two. The d/s scenes are very well written. I loved seeing Blake come up with ways to keep Ty distracted without relying on the pain aspect. I hope we get to see more of them and how they're doing in future stories.

I don't know how or why I neglected to write a review of this amazing book when I read it months ago (maybe it was the overwhelming relief and sated bliss of the last couple pages that fogged my brain), but I've just finished reading it for the second time and love it even more than I did back in February.
This was the book I'd been waiting for since finishing Lorcan's Desire. And not one word of it disappointed.
Each book in the Whispering Pines series has been a roller-coaster. I hate Quinn, I love Quinn. I feel bad for Jess, I am unbelievably angry at Jess. I don't get Lorcan, I admire who he is becoming. But this series has been about Ty for me since he first appeared on the page. I dreaded the wringer I knew SJD Peterson was going to put him through. And damn if I wasn't right. Ty suffered. But just like the cocky, resilient bastard that he is, Ty was finally able to submit, to relinquish the pain he's been steeped in most of his life, and to fly above it. Enter Blake. Sexy, dominant, thoughtful, patient Blake.
It's been an unpredictable two years in Whispering Pines, and I can't wait to read the final two books.

I enjoyed this book so much better than the previous two. Ty had a lot going on, I'm so glad he met Blake. Blake was awesome! I fell in love with him the same way I fell in love with Jess. The only thing that gave me pause was how quickly Blake was willing to Dom for Ty given Blake's past loss of his love due to such heartbreaking violence. I felt like Blake should've been initially repulsed by Ty's obsession with Quinn and his fixation on Lorcan. I would've liked a slower build to his understanding of Ty before the sexual side of their relationship happened. Blake intervened so quickly that I didn't feel Lorcan was in any real danger from Ty. Ty was more in the super pissed catagory than unhinged bout blow. And, why was Blake walking around Quinn's property the day he met Ty in the first place? Were we to assume Blake was stalking Ty while Ty was busy stalking Q'Lo (Quinn & Lorcan), lol! Anyway, I'm ready to find out how Jess and his two men are doing...with updates sprinkled in about Connor & John, loved them too.

4.5 stars. Ms. Peterson has a real knack for redeeming her characters. I loved the look into Lorcan and Quinn's relationship, and I cannot wait to find out what is going on with Conner and John. LOVE Blake, and I really enjoyed seeing the growth of Ty's character. A always, Ms. Peterson leaves readers dying to see what is going to happen next with the characters of the Whispering Pine Ranch series.

A well written book. Not quite my taste but it is still a well written book nonetheless.
In retrospect, Quinn's and Ty's relationship reminded me of what happened between Jake Riordan and Paul Kane from the Adrien English Mysteries series. Especially the similarity of drunken confession and how the club Dom/sub lines was crossed by the D that escalate the situation.

About 20% of this book was Quinn and Lorcan (they get 0 stars as they are probably my least favorite MM couple ever). The 80% that was Ty and Blake I LOVED! I'm stopping at this point because I don't like Jess either and I don't want to read his book. I will read Riveted because...more Ty and Blake and that makes me happy. I read Guards of Folsom already, one of my favorite all time series, and not sure how I missed Riveted but I'm definitely going to read it now.

I was reading the Guards of Folsom series when I figured out that Ty and Blake from that series are actually from this one. So, I hopped out of that series and into this one so I can get their history. Loving this journey.
Ty Callahan is a lot younger than I thought. Or maybe I should say he's older than his years. Growing up in the foster system isn't easy for most, I'd wager, and Ty's experience was definitely not a good one. Between the foster system and getting caught up with an abusive Dom as a young adult, Ty doesn't have a lot of trust in other people.
He ends up tending bar at a leather bar called The Push and submitting for one-off scenes which is where he meets Quinn, in Lorcan's Desire. He and Quinn become regularly involved between the end of Lorcan's Desire and the beginning of Quinn's Need. After a time, Quinn showed Ty some kindness and Ty thought he was in love with Quinn. It turned to obsession, though, when Quinn ended the benefits part of their friendship. Ty's Obsession picks up shortly after that point.
Ty has some serious anger and trust issues. And, honestly, I'd be more than a little surprised if he didn't, considering his life experiences. He hasn't known much in the way of tenderness or kindness, so he has a tendency to latch onto the little he has managed to experience. What he sees as Quinn's betrayal, though, sets him off on a path of self (and other) destruction.
A chance encounter with Blake changes his path, though it takes a bit for Ty to catch up with that. Blake finds himself intrigued by the angry man and has a strong desire to help him, and at the same time maybe experience something he, himself, has lost. So, he makes a deal with Ty. Give Blake one week to give him some peace and ease the anger. In return, Ty will give his submission.
Ty, when he is submitting, is a beautiful beautiful man. When he lets go of the anger he is witty and mischievous and a bit naughty. Blake really likes this side of Ty and makes it his mission to see if he can replace that anger with Ty's more fun side.
Even still, Blake is not without his own pain. He's not over (and probably will never be completely) what happened to his last full-time sub and he is terrified to actually take on another. He blames himself (unfairly) and he is still mourning.
Blake and Ty help each other move on from their pain. I wouldn't call the ending an HEA for anyone except Quinn and Lorcan, but we are left with the impression that they are headed in that direction. Since I have read the first couple books of the Guards of Folsom series, I know they do get their HEA, so I am hoping to get progress reports on them both as the series progresses.

Ty just knows that Lorcan can never give Quinn what he really needs and he also knows that Lorcan runs when the going gets tough. Blake recognizes that Ty is a submissive and is harboring great pain, anger and resentment. Blake knows what that type of feeling can do to a man so he sets out to try to help Ty find himself under all those feelings before it’s too late.
S.J.D. has again brought us a book that tears us in different directions as we get the feelings and impressions off each character. But the one thing she never gives us is a bad guy and oh boy do you want there to be a bad guy in all her books. In this one , as the book progresses, your feelings get churned up as you try your best to process everything the characters are going through; Ty’s resentment, hate, want, longing and need, Blake’s loss, fear and want, Lorcan’s love, doubts and fear and then we have Quinn his protection, love and determination.
Ty is determined to drive Lorcan away and Lorcan is determined to stay. Although, he has doubts about how easily he let Jess push him away, the worst thing about S.J.D. Peterson’s writing is that you empathize with both characters no matter how much you want one of them to be the bad guy. Lorcan, because he easily walked away from Jess into Quinn’s arms. Quinn, for opening his arms and welcoming him back whilst shoving Ty away just as they began to get close. And Ty, for wanting Quinn so desperately that he would scare Lorcan.
Blake is a welcome character that is a lot more suited to Ty. He sees Ty and he recognizes why Ty latched onto Quinn even before Ty does. He helps Ty just when Ty needs it most and I think Ty helped Blake with his past quite a bit, too. Blake does have a tragic past and it will break your heart especially when Ty realizes just where he was heading. once you learn Ty’s past you realize why he seemed to latch onto Quinn like a heat seeking missile, just a bit of kindness was all it took.
I don’t have to tell you how well written this story is or how good the characters are because you have already read the first two books in the series and if you haven’t then what planet are you from? As always we have the lovely Conner and John who we see briefly and who S.J.D. is setting up for their own story which I have a feeling will make me cry. I am also waiting with much patience with my sledgehammer handy for Jess’s story. Lol.
So I have to recommend this to those who love pulling their hair out in frustration, biting knuckles in anger, stomping feet… lol If you love incredible hot sex, cowboys in love, hot BDSM and kink, anger, true feelings, and the beginning of a beautiful new relationship then this book is defiantly for you.

I was holding my breath when I started this third book in the 'Whispering Pines Ranch' series. Lorcan and Quinn caused a lot of damage to other people on their path to love, and Ty is one of those people. Ty so desperately wanted someone, Quinn, to accept his full submission, and to want Ty for himself. Unfortunately, that wanting turned into obsession and behavior that harmed Ty more than anything. Blake is exactly who, and what, Ty needs and deserves.

All I ever wanted to do with Ty was hold him and reassure him that he was worthy of love. It broke my heart to see him so out of control, not knowing how to handle his broken heart, that he funneled it all into rage, hatred, and ugliness directed at Lorcan. It was so easy to tell that this isn't the kind of man Ty really is because his feelings often frightened and upset him. It has been weeks since Ty has had any physical relief and he heads to The Push where he runs into Blake Henderson, the arrogant, domineering cowboy Ty had already met out on the range, so to speak. The first (official) meeting doesn't go the way Ty, or Blake, planned, but Blake isn't about to give up on this guy who intrigues him to no end.
Ty may be a natural submissive, but considering his first Dom was a sadistic psychopath, who inadvertently taught Ty to never get his heart involved, and after him Ty played, never having a Dom of his own, it's no wonder that what Blake introduces him to is confusing at first. Ty knows how to be submissive. In fact he revels in it, for an hour or so at a time. Blake challenges him in ways Ty isn't always sure he likes, but when push comes to shove, he realizes how much this man, his Dom, means to him. Now, Blake is not without his own issues, and carries grief from a significant loss two years before. But Blake recognizes exactly how well he and Ty work, and Blake isn't going to lose this man who has come to mean so much, in such a short time.

I want to warn you I am a big fan of SJD Peterson aka Jo. I’m in love with Whispering Pines Ranch. Ty was first introduced in Lorcan’s Desire; his character comes back in Quinn’s Need where he spends a lot of time with Quinn at a local leather bar, The Push. Ty helps Quinn deal with losing Lorcan. He believed that Quinn loved him until he goes back to Lorcan. Ty’s Obsession, picks up where Quinn’s Need ends. Ty is broken and wanting revenge. Ty is angry and jealous of Quinn’s love for Lorcan. He is obsessed with getting Quinn back; his anger is overpowering him, driving him to desperation.
In comes Blake Henderson, tall dark dominant and very insightful, with deep pain of his own. Blake sees Ty’s anger and needs to help the submissive find peace. Something about Ty pulls you in rooting for him to find love. Ty may be submissive, but he is not weak, he is stubborn, mouthy and can make you laugh.
There is a BDSM element in the story, but it complements the story not the driving force. The BDSM scenes are hot and steamy and very well written. Jo writes powerful characters with big emotional obstacles to overcome.

Something about Ty pulls you in rooting for him to find love. Ty may be submissive, but he is not weak, he is stubborn, mouthy and can make you laugh.
There is a BDSM element in the story, but it complements the story not the driving force. The BDSM scenes are hot and steamy and very well written. Jo writes powerful characters with big emotional obstacles to overcome.

Out of all three books, this was the best. In fact, I wish a majority of storyline had been about Blake & Ty.
Ty was a sweetie, even when he struggling with his anger issues, at least he struggled to keep from doing actual harm.
Unlike Quinn in the second book, who should have taken his anger issues out on a pillow instead.
And what Quinn did to Ty was abuse! Unfortunately, Ty never really realizes that Quinn was another Brian in disguise. Let's just hope that Lorcan & Quinn have their HEA, they deserve each other!
Blake was another character I warm up to. With his tragic loss, his ability to still care about others was touching.
Had a lol moment when the Don Knots collection was mention.
I usually avoid the BDSM books because I grew up in a DV household, but there have been a few that I don't mind reading. Especially when there are attempts of explaining why some people prefer this particular lifestyle. I gave an extra star for this.
I was a little disappointed with the HFN between Blake & Ty, but I am happy that I was left with impression that they would eventually become a couple.

So, I enjoyed this one more than
Quinn's Need
. I think it was because Jess wasn't in it at all - my biggest problem with book 2 was about the author's characterization of post-accident Jess.
But... the first half of it was ridiculous. Ty, seriously - what the fuck? It was sooooooo over-dramatic. I kept picturing some villain in a 20s movie twirling his mustache or something.
However, it got a LOT better after Blake . I really like Blake, and I found myself genuinely wanting to see more of the two of them together. I was HORRIFIED by that story about Eli. Just horrified. And hence curious to see how their relationship develops as they struggle with overcoming their combined past demons. Ty seemed to finally be getting a grip on his as the book ended. But what about Blake?
I also found myself happier than I expected to be with Quinn and Lorcan's ending, though it's tenuous - we'll see if I still feel this way by the time I get to Jess's book.

I had real trouble finishing this book I didn't like Ty and Lorcan was a whining little git. I nearly gave up before Blake even came into the story the whole thing was a bit of a nightmare. I think my biggest problem with it was the fact it was more about Lorcan and Quinn and I had my fill of then in book 2. I didn't like Lorcan then either but I did like Quinn and Jess so that kept me reading book 2, so here I was hoping to read all about Ty (who I liked in book 2)and how he was going to be saved from his anger and instead I got the Lorcan and Quinn show. It took until nearly half way through the book for us to focus on Ty but even after we get treated to that it goes back to the Lorcan and Quinn show. To say this was a disappointment is an understatement the only thing that saved it was the sex was hot that's it I dragged my way through this just to see if the sex would be as hot as it was in book 2 and yes it was but there needed to be more to make the journey worth it!!

I was quite worried about Ty. He seemed redeemable but capable of going far off the deep end. I'm happy to report that Blake I thought the BDSM was very well written - not over the top. The characterizations were excellent. The only thing that kind of threw me a little was how quickly Ty submitted when he did - I thought the process might be a bit different and more of a struggle. Not that it had to be...but I think it was slightly confusing to me whether he was a submissive masochist or a masochistic submissive. I well understand the pain calming you and centering you (that's the way I feel with it) and I very much loved how the author didn't try to spout that nonsense that somehow masochists feel pain differently. At least for me that is just not true. It's in the processing and what it does - not in the initial pain. Now when you are riding high..whole 'nother story...but just in general it's pain. It hurts. That's it. REALLY loving this series!!

I’m so totally in love with this series – it just keeps getting better and better! The characters really make these books. They are so vibrant and realistic. I’m overjoyed with the fact that there is continuity of each of the characters throughout this series. For example, Quinn and Lorcan show up fairly prominently in this book even though it’s primarily about Ty and Blake.
And oh my, Ty. He may be dealing with his own obsession(s), but I’m definitely obsessed with Ty. This book only left me wanting more of him and Blake. Had I not looked ahead to feel comfortable that they’d be making more of an appearance, I probably would have been left with a bizarre combination of ecstasy and disappointment. And oh my, Ty. He may be dealing with his own obsession(s), but I’m definitely obsessed with Ty. This book only left me wanting more of him and Blake. Had I not looked ahead to feel comfortable that they’d be making more of an appearance, I probably would have been left with a bizarre combination of ecstasy and disappointment. Somehow I decided to start reading this series with this book after reading some not so good reviews regarding book #1 and 2. Yes, I was hesitant about getting into it, but thought that normally an author gives a bit of a backstory for new readers so it shouldn't be a problem. Consider me surprised when here the backstory took about 30% with centering around all the other key players. Sadly for this reader that made it a tad difficult to get into the whole thing. I found myself not getting engaged with any of them. Finally Ty's story took the front and it got better, only to turn into the big happy ending of Quinn's and Lorcan's story arc. Ty? Not really. At least I already got 'Riveted' which is said to give us Ty's HEA. Let's hope for the best.

OMG this book had me in tears during the prologue ( what cruel author does that to ppl) it's kindda twisted.. all that aside I LOVED this book, i just can't say enough about it, I want more of Ty and Blake they need another novel I'm demanding that they get another story there is unfinshed business that needs to be address the ending is fairly vague... Ty has been though alot and so has Blake to broken souls combined to seek solace,trust, understanding and a second chance.. who can ask for anything more.. These characters are just so lovable i mean you actually feel like they are real.. it's so crazy

Best book so far in a series of excellent stories! The insight into the BDSM lifestyle was sensitively written and made me understand the need Ty and Blake felt for it. Loved the ending. Ms Peterson never lets a good HEA spoil a chance to leave some threads dangling.
