Doctor Who Omnibus Volume 1
This omnibus collects three volumes of Doctor Who tales, all involving the Tenth Doctor as portrayed by David Tennant. The collection begins with Agent Provocateur: as The Doctor and Martha Jones search for the best chocolate milkshakes in the cosmos, someone else is on the hunt for him. Next, fans will enjoy Through Time and Space, a collection of six one-shot stories from creators such as Leah Moore, Ben Templesmith, Tony Lee, and John Ostrander. The omnibus concludes with The Forgotten, a story in which The Doctor is stranded in a strange museum dedicated to him, featuring appearances by all 10 Doctors

David tennant. That is all. Lol but no in all seriousness, I love this! The art was fun, loved that each story had a different style!

If you're one of the many Doctor Who fans who loved David Tennant's Tenth Doctor and wished he had gotten more adventures, this collection is for you. Granted, some of the artwork is not great (a few issues draw our favorite Doctor and Martha rather oddly) but the stories are good! The piece de resistance of the collection is the multi-issue story where the Doctor must reflect on his past to ensure his future. The treat of this story is that we get mini-adventures with all of the previous incarnations, and an ending that will make the most diehard of Doctor Who fans squeal. If you're still on a high from the 50th Anniversary Special, you will love this story too.

Averaged out the seven awesome stories against the single problematic one and some very bad uncanny valley art styles, to arrive at 4 stars. Basically like watching Doctor Who in comic form, and it really reminds me how much I’ve missed the show. Thank goodness for Jodie Whitaker motivating me to care again.

I love the tenth Doctor and so I found these stories to be highly entertaining. I wish the art were a bitt better, some were better than others, but they did keep the feel of the show.

This book collects a grand total of 18 Doctor Who comics featuring the tenth doctor: six one shots in between two six issue mini-series, so here's my thoughts on each component on this 400+ page collection.
1) Agent Provacteur: This was the 2008 Doctor Who mini-series and it had lot of good features. The story starts off solidly enough with the Doctor and Martha in search of the best chocolate milkshake ever. However, weirdness is afoot as the populations of entire planets disappear leaving only one survivor. The reasons for this are very confusing and convoluted. The result is a story that. while quirky and fun at times, is also too complex for a six issue comic book. Issue 6 is full of pages with exposition bubbles and very long speech bubbles that's very tedious in a comic. This sounds like it might have been better as a regular if handled right. Still, for some fun interactions between the Doctor and Martha, I'll give this a C.
2) The Whispering Gallery: Another Adventure features the Doctor and Martha visiting a planet where an entire culture is afraid to express their emotions. The Doctor met a girl named Grayla who did. However, when he returns to her planet, he finds that's she died and she finds her last message indicating that she said her culture was right and that there was no place for emotion. The doctor sets out to find out what happened while Martha stays behind in the whispering gallery, a place where pictures containing parts of the consciousness of the dead whisper their regrets. It's a thought provoking story about things that aren't said and regrets that's surprisingly moving for a comic book. The only thing I can ding this one on is art that's kind of iffy. Grade: B+
3) Time Mechanations: A great Doctor solo story where he meets HG Wells and a mysterious friend in Victorian England and he needs a part to repair the TARDIS. However, he's hindered by the fact that Queen Victoria banished him during Season 2 of the Revived Series. And there's even more than that than meets the eye. A very good solid timey wimey story that's deserving of Doctor Who. Grade: A
4)Autopia: The Doctor and Donna travel to a planet where humans have become lazy and indolent as they live in luxury while machines serve their every need. The Doctor and his companion are promptly ordered executed. Now they have to save their lives and try to change a lazy society without destroying it. Slightly contrived, but understandably so for the limits of a one shot. Grade: B
5) The Cold Blooded War: The Doctor and Donna arrive by accident on a planet that's about to have their first queen running the country. They'd actually been trying to attend an opera and the doctor said he'd been waiting so long for tickets that he'd ordered them back when he had a long scarf. Unfortunately, it's all down from there with a heavy handed tale that's tedious and unengaging. Grade: D
6) Room with a Deja View: The doctor encounters a creature who lives backwards in crime who is charged with a crime. The tale is an interesting concept, but it's a tad confusing, and also a bit dubious from the standpoint of whether the Doctor would actually do this as it requires multiple version of the tenth doctor and traveling back through his own timeline. Still, a worthy experiment. Grade: B
7) Black Death White Life: The Doctor and Martha arrive in the middle ages when a plague's occurring that isn't supposed to according to the history books. The cause is unknown but an alien creature is helping a local priest heal them which means aliens are also behind the disease. This is an okay story, but given what it actually represented, it was only borderline on the inventiveness side and Martha's question on the end is uncharacteristically dumb. Grade: C+
8) The Forgotten: This six issue mini-series finds the Doctor and Martha inexplicably at a museum dedicated to the Doctor. The Doctor loses his memory of all of his past regenerations and has to get them back in order to figure out what's happening to him. Each time he touches an object from one of his prior selves, he regains a bit and finds a clue. This means that in the six issue mini-series there are nine mini-stories featuring each of the first nine doctors. Given that there's hardly any easily available reprints of the first three doctors and the eighth and ninth, this is a great bonus. The first two doctors are even done in black and white. Even though I'm pretty new to the doctor, I was pretty amazed by the amount of history and companions that this story represents. Longer time fans of the Doctor will probably appreciate it even more. The mini-series had some great humor, but also some poignant moments particularly in Issue 6. Compared to the memories and the resolution, what actually is behind this isn't as great. Still, I think it's solid. Grade: A

I checked this out from my local public library. If I were buying, I would probably only purchase the trade paperback containing the Forgotten.

Fun. A bit dull in parts, but fun overall, and definitely very Doctor.

This book is divided into 3 parts: Agent Provocateur, several one shots, and The Forgotten.
I hated Agent Provocateur. It didn't feel like a strong story. The conclusion was rushed and almost skipped over. What's the point then?
The one shots were ok, but would have been better if they were longer and actually developed a story.
The Forgotten was another compilation of all the Doctor's regenerations. It's pretty much a greatest hits of his personalities and his companions. I have read several of them and have come to realize I hate this format. There's hardly any story because they are too busy piling in the Doctor's catch phrases to have him really say something. Also if you haven't watched old Who, much of it just goes over your head. I think they use this to their advantage because some of the personalities weren't right.

I enjoyed this omnibus for the most part. Transitioning from such drastic art styles was strange at first because each story has a different look to it, but after a few stories I got into it. The last story in the book is by far my favorite, and one of the longest. I enjoyed a lot of the stories, but there were many times that I was a bit confused and just felt like I was going with the flow because I didn't understand what was happening, and more often than not I could've done without the random stories that felt like they were clearly made up just to fill space. Some of the stories were "brilliant", while others weren't worth the time to read it. Overall it is a very nice collective of Dr.Who stories and is a must have for fans of the show!

This compilation of two comic book serials and five single issue stories by a variety of authors and illustrators was my first encounter with the Doctor in this medium. The transition from moving pictures to sequential still frames was neither wholly successful nor a complete disaster. It was OK, if a bit choppy. It made the story occasionally hard to follow, especially in the longer serials. The art ranged from the more lifelike to more stylized representations of the actors, but in all cases, because of the medium, the subtler changing expressions on the actors faces that would be captured by a motion picture camera was missing.

This collection of 10th Doctor comics is a bit uneven. A couple of the stories are strong, a couple are pretty weak, and a couple just meander. The centerpiece is 'The Forgotten' which is a multi-issue arc that explores much of Doctor Who history, with snippets from most of the historical doctors. Most of the stories feature Martha, although Donna also shows up for a couple. It's a lot of Doctor, and it's nowhere near the quality of the show, but it's not bad. Pretty forgettable overall, though.

Several good stories in this collection, with art of varying quality. I enjoyed "The Whispering Gallery" the most, I think. Some of the art was too cartoon-y and the Doctor often looked strange.
I believe the writers tried too hard to write like the show. While it wasn't descending into parody territory, his dialogue was more facsimile than accurate representation.

I liked this! I will have to go back and read the final story after I've worked my way through the adventures of Doctors 1-8, which I am working on.
Some reviews have described the different artwork as jarring, but I liked the different interpretations.

So many good stories with the Doctor. Good to see all the old incarnations of him in the final story. This book is worth every minute of reading. It never lets down. I'd read again anytime I needed the Doctor to let me in on an adventure.

Interesting collection of comics featuring the 10th doctor. The stories vary a lot in quality of writing and drawing style, but I enjoyed most of them.
I've been wanting to read more comics and graphic novels and, as a Whovian, this was a good way in for me. Will definitely try out more!

awesome story lines like you would expect from Doctor Who. since if the art is great, some not so much. styles from story to story were different and it definitely took some getting used to. as both a Doctor Who fan and a comic book fan, I enjoyed this book

I prefer the novels. This was a little too over the top for me, and the artwork seemed so rushed and sloppy. The Doctor and Martha should always look like Doctor and Martha.
